Perfect location for any party! Also a lovely building inside and out. Everyone had so much fun! The management staff are very nice and accommodating, but also significantly overworked so don't leave any communications for the last minute.

This is where I spent 16 hours yesterday working for SB elections on our governor's recall. Not a better place to hang out \\u0026 help voters - right on the beach in paradise!!

Curious as to why this listing refers only to the plaza here at Chase Palm Park when it could just as well refer to the entire park (or when there could be a separate listing for the creek/pond behind the plaza). As for the plaza itself, it's a nice, circular, amphitheatre-like venue with benches and walls around the circumference where folks can sit. The plaza gradually descends into a grassy lawn in the middle, complete with a decorative fountain. It can easily be used for public concerts and gatherings or private events and receptions. Indeed, there's a villa towards one side of the plaza that folks can rent for events. Behind this villa is a beautiful creekside oasis, complete with footbridge for those event photo-ops. The park then extends further into a playground (covered separately here on Yelp). From end to end, it's a pleasant 10 minute walk. A space well worth exploring if you're not solely into the beaches here in Santa Barbara.

Great park fo a short walk across from the beach! Great duck/ bird pond play area for kids. Great concert in the park in the summertime! Great to take a lunch at one of the tables! If you do plan to feed the duck and other birds please be mindful as to what to feed? Dried oats as in oatmeal thawed frozen peas, corn nuts & seeds thank you!

Santa Barbara beach area was an okay stroll but everything is not lively. The pier had like 7 people max. The rest were racist hobos making Mexican jokes. Not cool.

Chase Palm Park is a beautiful park by the ocean, with long strips of green lined with palm trees on palm trees on palm trees. Matt B. and I took our bassets for a walk here on Saturday during a weekend jaunt to Santa Barbara. This was a wonderful way to spend time on a warm afternoon. Parking was easy, in a public lot right by the park. It cost $2 an hour, which is not crazy, and honestly easy parking by the water is a real novelty to two people visiting from L.A. We didn't walk the whole park, but we got a nice stroll in, taking in the lovely views as well as the sweet dogs and interesting people. Our dogs got some welcome attention and sniffed a few friendly butts. There were a lot of people out, picnicking and listening to music. One guy was walking a bouncy-looking tightrope thing stretched between two palm trees. We enjoyed our walk in the park, and the next day, we met a basset hound named Roger, whose parents asked if we'd been walking by the beach in front of the Hilton--they'd seen two people with two bassets but couldn't holler effectively from their car. If you want to see and be seen while hanging with cool dogs by the ocean, get you and your pups to Chase Palm Park.

This is one of those parks you can take your kids to and they will be able to play and be entertained for hours. The variety of play structures, the open and space and the beautiful surroundings make it an easy place to spend your time. It's a great place for weddings and events as well!
