Montecito Inn is situated in a charming walking town, known for its shops and restaurants, making it an ideal location for visitors. Guests have praised the excellent service and the welcoming all-day coffee and tea bar, which includes pastries and fruit in the mornings. However, many reviews highlight that the hotel’s accommodations are old and dated. The rooms often have a musty smell, with issues like poor water pressure in the bathrooms and outdated furniture. While some rooms, particularly in the luxury wing, have been updated and are more comfortable, others feel shabby and in need of repair. Guests have expressed disappointment with the resort fee, which includes a daily dining credit for a restaurant that is closed, leading to frustration over limited breakfast options. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel features a nice pool and a decent fitness center, including a Peloton. Overall, Montecito Inn offers a mixed experience, where the location and service shine, but the condition of the rooms leaves much to be desired.
I honestly don’t know who would pay $400 a night and still write a complaint on google.

Agree with others with regard to tired rooms. Only worth staying during midweek price breaks. Must mention STEVE the car valet! What a professional. Thank you, Steve, for the impeccable service!

Very dated. Needs an overhaul and refresher for training staff.
