This is a review for Petsmart Grooming. Robyn and Sabia are extremely unhelpful. Robyn even had the audacity to refer to Sabia as a "senior" groomer.... What a joke. They cancel their coworkers bookings because they do not get clients themselves. In my opinion, they should find a new environment to work. The whispering to each other in front of clients and lack of knowledge in grooming is juvenile, caty, and straight up unprofessional. I took my dog to get groomed, arrived 10 minutes before the appointment and within 5 minutes said they were unable to do the job. Even though the booking was with Lily (who was on break). Lily is one of the very few trained groomers here. Robyn stated that I would need to take my dog to have a medical grooming from a vet and then cancelled my appointment on the spot even without Lilys consent or knowledge. Later that evening I had an appointment to get routine vaccines for my dog, so I asked the vet if my dog could get a medical grooming. The doctor said it is not necessary to pay more for a medical grooming and any dog groomer should be able to give him a haircut. This confirmed the lack of knowledge from Robyn and "Senior" Sabia. Luckily the following day, I was able to get a same day grooming appointment on the east side and they gave my dog a haircut with absolutely no concerns or apprehensiveness. I would highly recommend you take your animal somewhere else other than Petsmart Grooming for a haircut. Don't waste your money on the grooming there. I promise your pet will appreciate a more personal and caring groomer anywhere else but Petsmart.

People with disabilities, parents with small children, and people with impatient bladders be aware that this location no longer has a public restroom. When I asked someone about it I was told that there is no more public restroom access and that it was a store decision, NOT a corporate one. I stated that it is not a customer-friendly business choice and that it might impact disabled customers and I was argued with. I had been a customer of this location for decades, even though there have been issues, but I am now looking for a customer-friendly, local source for my pet supply needs due to today's interaction.

Always a long line but it's not unpleasant. Employees are sweet even when they're busy. I can usually find what I need but they do run out on occasion so I check back frequently.

When I first arrived in Santa Cruz, the only place I was able to locate that sold dog food and pet supplies was Petsmart. They were able to match most online retailer pricing. However, they made it extremely difficult when trying to match pricing. Most clerks at this at this store were extremely helpful and very, very courteous. In the end, it became more expensive to continue to shop here. So, I had to look someplace else, and I finally found pet pals. So, if you're looking for great pricing and the same great terrific products that you normally buy at Petsmart, give this place pet pals a visit, you won't be disappointed, and it'll really make your budget happy.

If I could give it a no star I would. The living conditions of the fish, betas and bearded dragons were absolutely so sad to see. Lots of sick, dying or dead fish. The tanks are not clean. The bearded dragons tanks are covered in feces. No fish tanks were being treated for illness. It was really sad.

Staff is beyond knowledgeable and kind, they care about the animals and have plenty of information on what’s needed for a good home. Not your typical PetSmart.

I have no complaints about the item I received or the workers at this location. My main concern is with the deplorable state of their fish. I went in to pick up an online order of salt today, and the workers were very overrun with customers (line 15 people deep) but were friendly and helpful when we got to the front. As my husband waited in line I walked around with my son and was astonished at the sheer number of dead fish in their tanks and obvious signs of uncleanness in the tanks. One tank seemed to have only 1/4 of the fish alive and other tanks were obvious with several fish in each tank laying dead on the grave, upside down and no gill movement. As a fish tank owner I would absolutely not trust that the fish are in any condition to be brought into a home tank, and I would worry that I would be introducing disease and illness into my tank if I purchased them. For supplies quick and fast, sure I will return. For live animals? No.

Came here for a cage after I got home I realized it was too small for the dog. I returned it with no hassle and the lady helping me suggested a pen. Turned out great keeps my bulldog at bay at night. While it can easily be put away to make more space during the day. Great customer service will definitely return!

Went here today to get some food for my cats and thought I’d go give some love to the kitties up for adoption. Several that I was petting had dry noses and when I looked I was shocked to see a large amount of them didn’t have water in their cages! When I asked employees about getting them some water cause they appeared dehydrated they said they couldn’t access the cages and an agency came once a day to take care of them. Animals spilling their water bowls happens often & it kinda seems like animal abuse to leave them with no water to the point their noses were dry. Disappointing to see a place that caters to people’s pets treating their own animals so poorly

Blond worker with the Doberman was incredibly helpful and nice, they have just about every pet food one could want to buy. Very much recommend going there to shop for your pet.

Had made a mistake and booked for a Sunday instead of Saturday which is the day I thought I made my appt for! Oops! I showed up and they confirmed I had made my appt for the next day but the groomer was so sweet and willing to take Annie in Saturday anyways! I was so thankful because we were traveling back to our primary home from our second, Santa Cruz! We had to get some things done without Annie able to come with us so for her to take her in meant the world! The groomer did an amazing job on Annie and we picked her up a few hours later looking amazing in her bandanna! We will be back again next time we are in town! With the right day appt made next time of course! Thanks again Petsmart!

I was in Santa Cruz PetSmart yesterday at midday and was going to browse when I saw the long check-out line. I saw 2 employees in the aisles and asked why I always see a long line at check-out. They said that it is because of a staffing shortage. I wandered around a bit and was leaving when I saw both employees I had spoken to earlier leaving the store, getting into a car, and departing. Amazing. I won't be wasting anymore of my time there if that's the approach to customer service. On my previous visit I was purchasing items and the line was 8 people. I went to the cashier and asked that he request another person to help. He did and the line eased but no employees were monitoring the situation.
