The location of the hotel is close to the Santa Cruz boardwalk, about an 8-minute drive or a 25-minute walk. While the pool is nice and clean, the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms could be improved. The hotel is situated in a safe area and offers good value, especially on weekdays during the winter season. Overall, SureStay By Best Western Santa Cruz provides a decent stay for the price, but the breakfast experience and inconsistent cleanliness may be a concern for some guests.
My review is based on relative cost per night. My AC worked well, bedding was clean, bathroom clean, nice pool and excellent shower. For the price of that 6 chain its a LOT nicer. Rooms are huge too. Gentleman at front desk was very polite. I'd definitely do it again.
