Is it possible to give 0 stars? This is the WORST pharmacy in Santa Cruz, possibly the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I was on hold for 18 minutes. Then they said they can't help me.

I scheduled a covid vaccine at Walgreen's Soquel Ave, SC because I hadn't had one this year. My doctor had been reminding me to get an updated vaccine for this year. I walked in for my appointment and they asked when my last vaccine was. I said 10/31/23 which was a mistake on my part. They said the last record they had in their records for my covid shot was 10/31/22. I told them that whatever they had on file was correct because I only go to Walgreens for my vaccines. Then the guy says, "you can't have had the vaccine within the last two or three months." I said I had not. They asked me if I was sure I didn't get a shot somewhere else and I said I did not. Then they said they didn't want to give me a shot because the current version came out August 2023. Then he says I told him I got a shot in August which was not true. I never once said August. I told them I had not had the Covid shot this year. Then they told me to go to Google and look up my vaccination records. By then the pharmacy line was getting longer and everyone was staring at me like I was crazy so I just left and said forget it. Got home Googled my records and what they had on file was correct as i advised them. I have never been more embarrassed. What should have been an easy transaction became confusing and misleading which is concerning given they are a pharmacy.

I wish I could give them -1000 stars. The workers are not aware of anything at all. Speaking about pharmacy it is always awful, never see prescriptions ,everything takes so long always. The second dissapointing, I was trying to print documents. First a worker told me that they don’t print documents but I know they they did before , she couldn’t help me. Then I found out by myself how to download file for printing and did everything by myself , computer told me that my order will be ready in an hour. But is was not ready!! Because workers told be that THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE PRINTER!!!!why are you working there ? Why are you called yourself Walgreens photo if you don’t know how to print it????Awful , never go to this pharmacy

I called and was told my prescription was ready. Great, I drive 4 miles from my house to the drive-up window and was told my medicine is out of stock and they don't know when it will be available. WTH!!?? Don't know?? The downtown pharmacy was so efficient and this one is a joke. All I hear are complaints about this pharmacy. Never anything good. Although Cheri in cosmetic dept. Is very efficient!

When Rite Aid on Soquel closed, I asked for prescriptions to be sent to Walgreens. Walgreens apparently doesn't deal with my insurance. So they needed to call CVS and transfer the prescription. 3 times I drove back and forth from Walgreens to CVS to get a medication I need for my blood pressure. You would think they had never done anything like that before. Between their incompetence and total contempt for their customers.

If half a star was possible, or even a quarter, I would choose that option. This Walgreens pharmacy is the WORST pharmacy I have ever been too. Unfortunately it is the pharmacy closest to my work and would be convenient if they ever had medicine stocked or prescriptions filled on time. Every time I come here, they are either out of stock or I wait around for 30 plus minutes in line, just so they can tell me I need to wait 20 minutes for my prescription to be filled, when my doctor put the request in 24 hours earlier. Then they tell you that once it's ready you have to wait in line again to pick up your prescriptions. I hate this place! They impede on people's ability to manage their medications. I shouldn't have this many issues picking up medicine for my thyroid

One of the worst pharmacy's I have been to. It took 2 days to be told my prescription was out of stock. They were closed on Sunday without notification even though the website and voicemail said they were open. Not sure what's going on. This place used to be good. Hopefully they can turn it around. I used this pharmacy because of the weekend and the drive through pickup. This is not fun when you're sick. I will never be back. Thank you for the response. Please reach out to see if I can help fix the situation.

Worst pharmacy on the planet for 3+ years running. Waited for 25 minutes on hold (usually it is 40) only to be hung up on. Would give negative stars if I could. This pharmacy closes unexpectedly without warning but you cannot call ahead to verify if they are open because no one will answer the phone and if they do, they will be rude and tell you to check the hours online (not accurate). I have previously been denied my prescription here due to my gender. The pharmacist once argued with me about filling my prescription on the day it was due for refill. Offensive and unprofessional. This pharmacy should be closed so that no one would have to continue suffering here, patients nor employees.

I would give this pharmacy a negative 100 if I could. My son has had a lengthy illness and multiple prescriptions have been called in for him over the last three weeks. Anytime I go into Walgreens there is a problem with this prescription. They can’t find it or it’s not ready. Last night I called and they told me my son‘s prescription was ready to pick up, I go in this morning and there’s no record of the prescription anywhere. So I called the doctor and the doctor said the prescription was called in two days ago. My doctors office called Walgreens to see what was going on and they told her another Walgreens opened my son’s RX and deleted it. This pharmacy is so incompetent including the pharmacist who couldn’t give me any explanation to where my son’s RX went. I will be moving all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy because I have too many problems with this pharmacy.

Pharmacist review~there has been changes to pharmacists recently & my experience hasn't been good. I'd love to mention a name specifically since it's one pharmacist but not sure if I can. I have made two complaints to corporate (one being a follow up). It's a long story of back & forth so I'll summarize as best I can. One Friday noonish, I went to pick up my prescription. That particular pharmacist said he was 'reviewing your history' & 'doesn't appear the medication was working for you'. He fax'd Dr needing more info. As I walked away, I starting wondering what did that all mean & that seemed inappropriate of him. I went back to Walgreens but he was gone, I spoke to the other pharmacist on duty, asking him if that was standard to determine meds working or not working? He said no but was pretty neutral. I called Walgreen's Corporate to make a complaint. The woman agreed, inappropriate. I received a call from store manager regarding policies. I still wasn't completely comfortable with all policies. I received a call from my Dr's office saying they apologize for the delay, they had never received this kind of request before & I expressed my concerns with his behavior too. When I went to pick my prescription up, this man, yelled my last name out from behind the pharmacy to get my attention pointing to the consult window. Not very nice!!! He proceeded to aske me questions like: 1. When is your surgery? 2. Will you be on this medication until then? I'll make notes in my computer. I told him what my Dr's office said, he replied with laughter & delight on his face 'there will be many more to come'! Wow! I left in tears. I called Walgreens Corp again to update my case & said I will be leaving Walgreens. I won't be subjecting myself to whatever this guy is going through.

I've always had a great experience with the workers, so I want to preface that this review is strictly about the pharmacy and management. I made an appointment here for my covid vaccine booster, and when I arrived I was told that since I don't have insurance, it would be $170 despite the website clearly saying "No insurance? Walgreens offers the updated COVID-19 vaccine at no cost for patients without insurance or for patients whose insurance doesn’t cover it." I was told management has told employees to no longer do this as it was getting "chargebacks" and if I wanted I could come back the next day to speak to management. So I'll instead be getting vaccinated at CVS where it's still free. Just a heads up if you're uninsured and hoping to get your booster here.

The pharmacy has had our prescriptions for 48hrs and they still are not ready. Each time we go in to pick them up, they say that they are working on them and that it will be another 45 min to an hour.
