“Exceptional staff and pleasant rooms - my family stayed here during Christmas week and everyone was so pleasant. The hotel had a few cats they were feeding and we ended up falling in love with one of them. From Sta. Maria to Chicago real quick. This made my family’s stay in this hotel even more memorable, the staff that I spoke to showed real compassion to pets and animals overall and was very supportive when we asked about adopting the cat. Thank you Best Western Sta. Maria!!”
“Nice very spacious room that would be a good place for a few days to work if needed. Clean and modern with bright hallways.
Have a small pool and gym, so everything you need for a quick trip.
Pay for the upgrade WiFi, otherwise you'll regret it. It took me a while to have the service switched.

“Only stayed one night passing through the area on vacation. Everything was fine and the people were friendly. Only complaint was the beds in our room were so low on the floor. Hard to get in and out of. Not my preference. Other than the low beds, it was ok”
“The rooms were clean other than the floors. Under the beds were dirty. Hair from prior renters was everywhere. They need to step up the game on their housekeeping as far as that goes. I have been a housekeeper so I know what clean should be for visitors.”

My only hesitation in posting this review is that so many people will find out and the next time I come it will be booked to hilt. “Desk clerk was nice upon check-in. Stayed 3 nights for a softball tournament and didn't feel unsafe (if you've ever spent time in Santa Maria at night you know what I'm saying). Ample parking available and close to food and drinks. Basic budget room if that's what you're looking for.”

“So, so, so much fun, great hotel, awesome vibe and lots of history. The staff are AMAZING. Make sure you stop in at the attached English style pub. And if you like adventure, ask about the late night tour of the grounds for a very entertaining history of the many celebrities and spooky sightings”
“We have stayed here every year for the last 5 years and have never had any issues. Everyone is nice, friendly, and very personable. The location is convenient and next to everything you might need or want. The hotel and premises are very clean. The rooms have a mini fridge, microwave, and a coffee pot. They have a decent breakfast each morning. There's even on on site taco truck.”

“If you intend to use internet-- have your computer/device with you when you check in at front desk, AND TEST THE SERVICE.
Because the label with Access code info on your room key folder is not correct... and then you will wait on hold MANY MINUTES for help.”
“Came into town on business. Location was easy to find with restaurants in walking distance as well as the owner was very kind & generous. They had me in room relaxing in no time what so ever. I highly recommend you stop by & give this motel 6 your business. I will be staying again if I’m in the area hands down. Great coffee”

“Stayed in the RV rest stop for a few days. The facilities are great. They even have a gym that visitors can use. The lodge has a fantastic CYO diner on Friday evenings. Very friendly lodge staff and bartenders.”
