“5 stars for friendliness and sheer volume and variety of vinyl. My two kids and I got out having spent under $100, but we put several records back after getting them priced. Records often cost more in California and at an antique store, and that is the case here. They’re not unreasonable, though, and if you’re buying a stack they’ll take the price down a bit. Very nice dude running the shop when we dropped by.”
“so glad this place is still here! i went here in high school in the early 2000s when i was learning to weave baskets from someone at the ren faire in my reenactment group. this place had everything i needed. this is the kind of non-corporate store i’d like to see stay open in LA! thank you cane and basket supply company!”
“The only jeweler I trust - RZ and Laurie are the absolute best. Purchased several items from watches to my wife’s engagement ring, always easy always the quality that I wanted.”

“Found this absolute gem the other day! The shop is filled with so many unique finds, and Caleb was incredibly sweet and helpful throughout my visit. It’s the perfect neighborhood spot, I’ll definitely be recommending it to all my friends!”
“I had to sell some eagle coins to help pay some bills and this place made it really easy for me. Todd was an amazing help and is an amazing soul. He made the process easy and was very informative so I know I made the right decision. If youre looking for a good place to buy or sell coins, check them out”
“Great customer service, it’s family ran and they are a pleasure to do business with. Good customer service, helpful and amazing deals. They mainly have furniture. There is also jewlery and Knick knacks.”
“Lovely work done in a timely manner.
I brought in my candelabra on a Monday to be repaired. I was told that it would take approximately two weeks to repair. I asked if it could be done any sooner and was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call three days later that it was repaired and all additional pieces were polished to perfection.
My antique looks nearly new. The prices are high, but because I don’t know what’s involved in doing the repairs myself how much time and money is involved I was willing to pay. And I have no regrets. And I would recommend this silver repair to anyone. If I ever need a repair done again, I will absolutely be back.”
“What an amazing experience it was to communicate with Larry and Natasha. Very understanding and thoughtful insuring the right decision was made. I'm so very grateful.”
“This store is a goldmine, a place where every visit feels like uncovering a hidden trove of wonders. I’ve bought many treasures here over time, each one carrying its own story and charm. Among them were a finely crafted dagger and a beautifully balanced sword, both pieces that stood out for their detail and quality. Every corner of the shop seems to hold something rare or unexpected, making it impossible to leave empty-handed and always drawing me back for more discoveries.”
“The perfect place to curate your home with quiet elegance. From the smallest French porcelain to an armoire of specific origin, you will find that heartfelt item to complement your home.”
“I was a client of Lawrence of La Brea when I lived in LA and then SF. I now live in NY. Their product selection and excellent service compel me to use them even living across the country. Alma, one of the client service representatives there, is extraordinarily helpful and gracious. You won't be disappointed.”
“Love it! Great mix of vendors with legit locally made designs. Lots of vintage and upcycling with most of it reasonably priced. A few vendors taking the piss but easy to move onto the next store with reasonable prices.
Get on down for fashion, art, homewares, good food and tasty drinks.”
“Plenty of vendors and very interesting items at this place. They said there are over 90 different vendors, that’s why the variety is wide. Anyone who likes vintage items, this is a must go to shop.”
“My third visit today to sell some silver and
Jewelry items
Michael is friendly , very knowledgeable and professional. He takes time to assess the items , always in plain sight , and in my opinion offers excellent prices
I fell very confident I am getting a very competitive offer in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Highly recommended”
“The COOLEST place in L.A. to see movie and television memorabilia! First of all, it’s amazing they even let you in the door and casually walk around this gigantic warehouse full to the brim with props from television and movie history. All is for rent, nothing is for sale, but prepare to have the time of your life just walking around and taking it all in! Wow! So much fun!”
“Villa Melrose is hands down the best Antique Store in Los Angeles. I have bought several antiques from them and I am always coming back for more. Their stuff is 💯 authentic, and legit. I've bought some of the most beautiful antiques from them because I know I can't get anything better anywhere. They have everything from Victorian, Neoclassical Rococo, to Art Neuvo, etc you name it. From chairs , lamps, statues, chandeliers, curiosities, you name it they have it. I love the Manager Nichole she is such a doll and so knowledgeable always knows exactly what I'm looking for , my taste and what I want. The owner is so down to earth and courteous. This is exactly how an antique shop should be. See you soon. 😊”
“Gorgeous shop and gorgeous shop owner! Everything here is so special and has its own story. The owner is so lovely and easy to talk to and has such a great eye. Everywhere you look in the shop and on the patio, there’s so much to explore. There’s something about it that just feels like home. The love is palpable!”
“A beautiful store to shop and to unwind in. Need to relax or feel a moment of serenity? Go to big Daddys antiques. Findings from all over the world. I Love to bring my clients in here. The staff is always so calm and cool. Always offering us coffee as we walk in. It's a must visit!”
“Cool little shop with a great (and varied) selection. I liked that there were a wide range of prices- felt like “something for everyone” (or anyone).Staff were friendly. Lots of stuff on sale when I was there.”
“This extremely eclectic thrift shop has a lot of homeware, including rugs, dishware, utensils. It also has plenty of clothing, old electronics, and art pieces. If you are into thrifting, this is a really fun shop, you should check it out.”
“Great experience! Max answered all of my silly questions and was extremely patient when my project kept getting postponed due to construction delays. The end result is terrific! Very happy with my antiqued mirror. Highly recommend.”
“Samuel literally has a showcase of the most beautiful rugs I have ever seen all under one roof. Samuel's Rug Gallery also provide services like repairs, cleaning, and maintenance. Fantastic service. To find authentic, luxury Persian rugs for a reasonable price is very rare. We bought two Persian rugs that transformed our home. I got a third rug for my office. It looks warm and rich with the dark office furniture, exactly what we wanted in our office space. We are thrilled.”
“These people have really nice furniture and art pieces displayed , they shouldn’t get a bad review for washing their sidewalk , that has nothing to do with the good work they do inside , that’s an in person complaint , not here , their reputation is really good ?”
“David curates the most exquisite collection of one-of-a-kind French designer vintage jewelry — pieces from Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Christian Lacroix, Balenciaga, Jackie DeG, and more. Every item is in great to mint condition, carefully sourced directly from France, and truly feels like wearable art. I would spend hours at a time at his shop because it’s like visiting a museum and time traveling!
I’ve found pieces here that you simply can’t find anywhere else — beautifully preserved, full of character, and clearly chosen with an expert eye. A must-visit shop in LA for vintage lovers seeking unique and timeless style. Every time I wear my treasures found at David’s shop, I get a lot of questions and compliments!”
“Took my lamp in for repair it was a easy fix I wasn’t charge for services very satisfied customer this is my second time going in for lamp repair will definitely return for future services.”
“I'm an interior designer based in Los Angeles and I' m always happy to take my clients to Navona Antiques . The owner, Matteo has beautifully curated the showroom making it much easier for clients to browse. The showroom is located in the heart of the Design District .”
“Stepping into Jefferson West, Inc. is like walking into a beautifully curated treasure trove for lovers of antiques and unique furnishings. This Culver City gem specializes in eclectic antique furniture, decorative arts, and one-of-a-kind pieces sourced from Europe and the United States.
The store’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, with charming displays that make browsing a pleasure rather than a chore. You’ll find a diverse range of items — from substantial furniture and lighting to intriguing small accessories — that reflect both refined elegance and rustic character. Many visitors comment that it feels like discovering a hidden world of history and craftsmanship, where every piece has a story.
The owners’ deep experience in antiques and design shines through in the thoughtful selection and presentation. Whether you’re a seasoned collector, an interior decorator, or just someone looking for a special statement piece, there’s a sense that the team has taken care to offer quality items worth considering. The inventory is ever-evolving, so repeat visits can be rewarding.
While prices tend toward the higher end — reflecting the quality and age of many items — customers generally feel that the value and uniqueness of the pieces justify the cost.
Overall, Jefferson West is a standout antique destination in the LA area: rich in character, full of fascinating finds, and staffed by people who clearly know and love what they do.”
“Museum quality items many many things, many items used as props in major movies i.e.. Oppenheimer..only issue I had was that I was steered away from somethings that I had particular interest in because they were not for sale...not clearly partitioned off, but that's fine the associate was very congenial and showed much discretion in steering me away with emphasis on my interest in the items. The owner was an extremely knowledgeable person and all too kind. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and look forward to returning on my next trip to California. thanks”
