This is for RAUL the branch manager. After calling multiple locations, making an appointment to rent a car, specifically NOT an electric car. We show up to our appointment to pick up the car and they let us know they only have electric cars. Raeul was extremely rude and cut us off when we were speaking to let us know nothing can be done and "it is what it is". A courtesy call before the appointment would have been nice so we don't make the trip from the valley to pick up a car that wasn't there. What's even crazier was that no apologies were offered and he simply said "ma'am you can go and complain to customer service". I mean if you hate your job that much maybe change it? So you're not so miserable. You're CLEARLY terrible at it. Avis must be struggling to keep employees to make this person their branch manager.

This was my first ever rental with Avis. I was slightly anxious due to the poor reviews on here but needed a car with a Santa Monica pick up and Las Vegas drop off so this Avis ticked the boxes for me.On arrival, there was a slight wait to be seen, which couldn't be helped and as both desks were busy with customers. My pick up was pretty smooth and the car provided was great and was exactly what was needed. The car was clean inside and out but the fuel wasn't full. They made me aware of this.Overall I was very happy and would use Avis again and recommend them based on this experience.

The manager here is extraordinarily rude and not empathetic - it’s like a Buddhist test in dealing with someone who has no empathy. He actually made me cry - so I strongly suggest renting someplace else.

Raul is hardworking, effective, intelligent, and friendly even when juggling many demands at once. He was able to solve a problem that 5 Avis customer service agents were unable to solve. Makes me want to be a repeat customer. He is a total asset to Avis, they are lucky to have him!

First they tried to rent me a too expensive car at the pick up station because I didn’t had reservation. But then I denied and made online reservation and only with this I had the chance to pay the half of that what they told me, the half!But the car, the Camaro, was very nice, and was uncomplicated to rent and give back.

Horrible rude manager, lied about honoring the AWD rate after I had badge verification. Charged me 2x the rate I reserved. Stay away from this location! The Venice location is so much better.

Raul is incredible! I’ve been doing a micro lease for more than a year and it was consistently great experience. Previously I had an issue with Avis Palo Alto who forgot to extend my lease and reported the car as stolen despite having a corporate contract with my employer (Google Maps). Raul managed to sort everything out, and fixed my lease. He literally spent several hours with me, calling Avis operators and fixing my paperwork. Amazing customer service that you can’t usually find in car rentals. I came several times since then and he always helped on minor requests. My micro lease was always automatically extended since then and overall he has done an incredible job!

We returned our car to this place , he told us it needs deep cleaning , we made it cleaned and brought back , he told it is not cleaned enough he asked 250 dollars and go down to 180 , than down to 125 and 75 dollars. I told him I will call the bank and take a legal action too.I am also going to contacted Avis headquarters to make them sure something wrong with this person ( Who is probably manager or owner of the place)

DO NOT rent from this location. The manager, Raul Hernandez, is rude, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. They charged us 2x the rate of our rental and when I called them to explain what happened, he wouldn’t even listen to me. I really hope corporate trains these managers on how to speak to customers. Avis may have better rates but it’s not worth the awful experience. I would recommend enterprise any day of the week over them.

Do yourself a favor and either use a different rent car company or at least a different location. Takes forever to get the car or return the car. I was waiting in-line to return and the owner was on the phone booking something for him and he's wife. They are rude and talk down to you and charge fees for cleaning and detailing the car. When I asked why the extra fee, the owner said "because I can". Just horrible. Really would avoid this location as the owner and staff are very slow, rude and unprofessional.

Best neighborhood car rental place. Did the paperwork on line and time to pick up the vehicle there was no more than a five minute wait. Vehicles were well maintain.
