We're currently renovating to bring our laundry connections in to the house and have a smaller than average space so he showed us right away where the smallest units were, compared specs, and loaned us a charger when our phone died to pay.”
“Ivan saved the day! We found out our old mattress was covered in mold so we needed a replacement in our new place ASAP. Being the day before Thanksgiving, I was not having much luck. Ivan turned everything around. He found the mattress I was looking for at their warehouse and arranged for me to pick it up within an hour (and hooked up the Black Friday deals). “Sam took care of me! Instantly showed me the Best four choices. Was able to quickly look up Our past order. Put the order in to the computer in less than two minutes and was ready to deliver it in a whole different part of the county for my 90 year old dad with full Installation and removal of a California King.
Offered next day delivery, but that was actually too soon for my old dad. I called back and Sam was able to reschedule the delivery for Wednesday. I felt like I got everything I wanted!”
“I normally do not write a review; however, I am compelled to write one now. If I could give a higher review, I certainly would. The shopping experience with them was good. But what stood out to me was the customer service. After purchase my couch ended up getting a tear, so I called the insurance coverage that I had purchased at the furniture store. The insurance company for some reason was unable to fix the tear on the couch. I ended up calling Elite Furnishing and spoke with Jesse the GM and he was extremely helpful. He made phone calls to the insurance company on my behalf trying to follow up with them. Once the insurance company said there was nothing that could be done. The GM was able to find an exact match in Texas, had it delivered overnight and he personally came to my house and installed it himself on their own dime. This was beyond customer service, and I know they didn't have to do this, but they believe that the customer should be taken care of.
I know that when I need to purchase more furniture, I will without a doubt return here.

“This review is primarily for Elizabeth at the El Cajon store who got my warranty approved and I was finally able to replace my damaged couch after two months of getting the runaround from their extended warranty (Reguard) customer service line overseas. I called every week and got nothing except to wait and wait with zero updates. Finally decided to try to talk to someone at the store directly and Elizabeth helped me. I explained the situation, she called Reguard right then, and they told her it was approved. I could not believe it. It was only once I went into the store and did something about it that Reguard decides to approve my warranty and replace my couch. Could’ve been coincidence, but the lesson here is that Elizabeth is awesome, and avoid the extended warranty”

“I needed a sleeping area for my living room.
After looking at many ideas: pull out couches, loungers, and daybeds, I settled on the idea of a futon. I have never had a futon before.
I am recently really into buying local small businesses and from my research I found a couple of places in the county. Creative Futons looked the best to try first even though it was not the closest.
I went on a Saturday at 10am and that is a busy time around North Park. People were walking everywhere and the majority seemed to have at least one dog. There was also road construction going on. I parked in the residential area about 4 blocks away, but I found out after that there are actual parking lots on the other side of University from Creative Futons behind the bank.
There is a sign on the door of Creative Futons that you have to knock or call to get let in because of the owner's dog needing to be safe.
Leslee, the owner, let me in and I had a personalized shopping experience as I was there at opening and was the only one in the store. She helped me see everything there and narrow down what I needed based on suitability for my situation and price.
The store has lots of styles of futons everywhere. It is nice to see them in person because the one I was considering before going in was way too huge and I found that the actual cushions can vary wildly in comfort levels.
Leslee is so vibrant and friendly that I didn't even realize I had been there over an hour. I initially only expected to be there 10 minutes max and had another appointment to get to. I called her hours later asking about a different style futon and she not only remembered me by name, but suggested I come in the next day (her day off), so we made an appointment.
That next day, she showed up exactly on time. It was great. We looked around a bit and a few other customers came in too so, she focused on us, but bounced back and forth between customers. She didn't seem rushed at all. No closing the deal, just a feeling of here are futons try them out and we will chat about anything as well.
Eventually, we decided on a frame, mattress and cover. We paid, she got our pieces (we had brought our van, so no need for delivery) and said we could bring the van just out front/side in the beginning of the alley.
She was wrapping up another sale just as we were loading up the van.
What a wonderful experience! I can see why she has been in business for so many years.
My futon is absolutely the best.
It is easy to open/close (it is a very simple Wall Hugger) and the mattress part is really comfortable to sit or sleep on.”

“Over the past 10 years, we have purchased bedroom sets, mattress, sectional. Last month we purchased a dining room set. All have been very well made. Heavy wood, high quality. This week, we went to a competitor "A" store because we wanted an inexpensive TV stand. Ended up being a disaster, poor quality from the other store. They have a 72 hour return policy. We ended up going back to Jerome's and picked up a TV console on clearance. Again, super heavy wood, very high quality. Only had to put the legs on. Armando at the MiraMesa store is very friendly and arranged for same day pick up, even though they were booked. Will never try another store again.”
