“Been clearing out my storage and this is a great store to donate too..Things need to be nice like I would buy but they take everything and don't turn you away because they dont have room to take stuff like one of other stores did to me recently. Staff is fast efficient friendly and polite. To buy things.... prices are very reasonable and lots of variety of items with a fair amount of furniture.”
“Fantastic store with so many options for furniture and nicknacks. Many options for antiques in beautiful condition.
The staff was absolutely fantastic helping me load items into my car and loaning tools for partial disassembly. All while at an outstandingly reasonable price.
Highly recommend.”
“After a couple times playing pickleball at Lindo Lake park in Lakeside, the good folks told me I could get free lessons at Red Shield, El Cajon. The place is new is clean! I remember it being built just a few years ago but didn't know it was a recreation center. Signing up was easy, and was promptly instructed to do practice drills. Within 15 minutes, I was playing doubles with other newbies. Then was told to go to the middle court to learn next level instructions. I learned a lot today from the three instructors and met friendly people too! Excited to keep advancing so I signed up for next Thursday's lesson.”
“This has been my go to thrift store for a long time. The workers are amazing, helpful, and nice. The prices can be pricy but there is always a sale when you're looking for good quality items. 10/10 store, love ReRuns!”
“I used to live in the apartment complex directly next to Home Start. The first time I noticed this store was Halloween 2018, a few hrs. before a last minute puppy Halloween party.
Not only did I find the CUTEST mermaid costume I’ve ever seen… but it was a complete set & not just random pieces of clothing someone decided to donate last minute vs. throw away.
Amongst that I found a gigantic stack of my favorite designer jeans— not only in my size, but in a plethora of styles (not just straight leg)…. Oh, & I usually pay about $200 retail for these jeans but every single pair i purchased that day & so on, we’re $4.
The women working here are so amazing & they really care & look out for their clients best interests.
I did unfortunately move but I always come back once a month for bag day! ?”
“I would love to shop online for some of your items. Been binge watching Storage Wars for the past 9 months. Sorry to see you are temporarily closed. Hope all is well. From Orlando, FL. God Bless you, Kasey, Tatiana and your Dad.”
“Hard working friendly staff keep stocking up the treasures, great value and worth the time to browse the complete selection, clean restroom available to the shoppers.”
“Super small not much in there. If you are looking to find a hidden gem location, it’s definitely hidden but this would not really be the spot. & it really was hard to spot, my Uber & I didn’t see it at first & drove around the parking lot looking at the larger stores. It’s towards the center of the wing on the right side, behind Chase bank. The retail part of of the store has to be the smallest of all gw stores. There’s not much home decor, no furniture,no lamps, minimal kitchen ware not really the location to go to if you think you are going to have a day of great finds and it’s going to be your new favorite location. Maybe if your a middle aged lady that loves candle holders & distressed jeans they had a few cute small Knick knacks I found a smaller version of my Hawaiian tiki “god of money” figure everyone gets there & my large one broke so I was happy to replace that & pretend I find some rare decor. Then I normally don’t care for the clothes much & i don’t even wear jeans the last ten years but I have been thinking about buying a pair lately & they had a very nice looking, organized woman’s Jean section. Where I had spotted a pair of rag & bone jeans, so I stared to take a look through them. I ended up trying on a few pairs, then ended up walking away with a new pair of re/done jeans, that fit me perfectly, which they had 2 pairs of in my size, slightly different, but I only bought 1& left the others. Both brands mentioned retail at $286 & up! So I had to check the Jean shorts display after that & I found a pair of Paige jean shorts in my size & the woman working held my bag (since I got there, bc I asked) & let try them on in the bathroom since there’s no dressing room but I didn’t mind it was big n clean in there. So $30 spent got me about $400+in goods. I’d say it was definitely worth having Uber drop me off there while I had my car repaired. And worth a visit if you ever end up in Tierra Santa / but side note don’t buy the shoes they’ve been selling Nikes at double the cost my friends roomate donated several pairs he got for about $70 that he wore too & they somehow sold them for $150 & were gone in a day. Idk why or how they can do that or ppl can be that dumb. But that’s not goodwill to price anything in there at nearly $100. I’d love to know who paid that for used Nikes . Please check out my offer up & fbmp! lol”

“Above and beyond! Better stuff and prices then the Salvation Army's store down the street. I made a purchase of a large item and without me asking for anything, they took care and helped me regarding that item. Special shout-out to the lady and the man who took the extra steps above their job, thanx!!!”
“I've been shopping her infrequent over the past few decades and I love it. Total hit or miss and the inventory does seem lacking in recent times but overall I still take the 25 minute drive to get over there and shop through their offerings.
I especially like that this locale has several thrift stores in walking distance.”
“Quality Thrift is definitely more of an antique store rather than a thrift store. So if it’s really interesting antiques and vintage that you’re looking for, be sure to check out this store!”
“A great thrift store for all sports fans. Lots of vintage attire. We bought a vintage Michigan State blue sweatshirt. Great place if you looking for unique gift for sports person in your life.”
“One of the best thrift store I’ve been in SD. You’ll find here everything you need from at the best value prices. Staff is very friendly and kind and they offer various discounts. Go check it out!”
“We've been going here sporadically over a decade. They have really good options for thrifting, for all ages and sizes. The operating hours vary but it's definitely worth looking into.”
“I love this store. It can be messy at times but its recently its been pretty great and I love searching for treasures. Still a better deal than Goodwill and Salvation.”

“I don't know what it is with San Diego thrift stores or if it's just California. What is with the pricing!! It's ridiculous. This is the only store that has nice quality and thrift store priced items. Closest store I've found to a *GEM*. Definitely come to this store so many good things. Still a bit on the pricey side but not too bad.”
“Not sure why ppl are complaining about prices. It's literally one of the cheapest thrift stores in the county. It's my first go-to because it's affordable. They always have discounts.
You can find gems, but it is a hunt.
On the other hand, it is very cluttered and definitely needs a hard clean.
The ppl working there are always friendly.”
“Great place with exquisite finds! Even though they're busy rearranging the store the staff are super friendly and helpful. Wonderful place to find dragon antiques!”
“Awesome little thrift shop! It's a little tucked in La Mesa but a must see for cute little gems. Great prices and great service. Definitely check it out if you're in the area. Found a wooden utensil holder for only $3!!”
“I would donate again to Thrift korral especially since they are supporting the hospice through Grossmont Hospital and programs. Dropping my donated clothing was easy experience you just pull up in the back area and very nice people come to help you unload”

“Hope the Mission Thrift Store is residing in the old Walgreens on University and I think 32nd Street. Without all the partitions for aislewaves from the old drugstore, this place is huge! There are racks and racks and racks of clothing. It would take forever to go through all of the offerings they have. Value is terrific, DVDs are a cheap $0.99! Add books, cookware, glassware, and all of the other items you would normally find at a thrift store. I found plenty of smiling faces to help me shop today. Free parking lot out front.”

“We found the couch of our dreams here, and the staff was so helpful with us in purchasing it and saving it for us to pickup. We would come back anytime, thanks again!”
“I'm not A MONSTER CABLE RED AND WHITE TAG SHIELDED IT LOOKS LIKE A COMPLETELY FAMILIAR WITH THE CATALOG OF MONSTER CABLE BUT I AM FAMILIAR WITH IT I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS ONE I THINK THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE FIRST EDITIONS AND IT'S IT WOULD BE WORTH $100 IF IT WASN'T A FIRST EDITION SO I'M PRETTY HAPPY. ALSO 3 TRACHE KITS. AND GOT SCHOOLED ON SOME KNOWLEDGE.”
“I go here from time to time. Sometimes I find good clothes & such, and sometimes I don’t. It’s a hit or miss, but honestly I just like wandering in here cause the place is big and I get some steps in.”
“Goodwill in La Mesa is my favorite location. It’s so organized and they have great inventory and sizes.
All the seasonal items were arranged by color. It was easy to find holiday outfits if you want red, green, silver. The typical racks were organized by dresses, skirts, pants, handbags. Household items were located in the opposite end. The sizes were clearly labeled.
The dressing room attendants were great. Maximum of 6 at a time and only one adult per room.
Plenty of holiday items both new and used. I found a mini LED tree for $8 but decided to pass on it.
Great daily discounts like military, teachers, seniors and forgot the fourth. They had additional discounts on the day we went with 20% off all long sleeves. We walked away with 14 items for $100! Thrifting is the way to shop in this economy!”
“So wonderful! I got there a little early and the taller guy allowed me drop early and even helped me lift the tv out of my car by himself! I was very impressed by his kindness. Good job ?”
“I love shopping at Plato’s Closet El Cajon – every visit feels like a treasure hunt. The selection of gently used clothing is always fresh and surprisingly stylish, and the pre‑owned shoes are in great condition for the price. It’s a friendly thrift store where you can snag discount clothing without any hassle. If happiness had a location on Google Maps, it would be here.”

“Always pay it forward.
This store has a great staff. They are friendly and welcoming.
The place is clean and very organized.
Sometimes you'll find a needle in the haystack. Just need to be patient.”
“I’ve been shopping at The Salvation Army for over six years, and I just wanted to take a moment to recognize two wonderful employees who have always made my experience special - Shamira and Rob.
My late husband and I used to come in together all the time, and Shamira and Rob were always so kind to both of us. They treated us like friends, not just customers. Even now, years later, they still greet me with the same warmth and friendliness. Their kindness and great customer service always made us feel welcome and made us want to keep coming back.
Over the past year, they’ve done a wonderful job reorganizing the store. It’s now so much more open, clean, and easy to shop. Everything feels well put together and inviting.
Shamira and Rob always made us feel welcome and appreciated. I can’t thank them enough for that. People like them truly make a difference.
Thank you both for all the kindness you’ve shown over the years.”
