“Had time to kill while in SF. Hadn't been to Pier 39 for many years so we decided to check it out. There were many new stores to browse through including my favorite a year round Christmas on the pier. The end is now full of games and things for kids to do. Still many candy stores and an Artly Coffee that has robots that made my latte. That was a first. Enjoyed sitting and watching the seals and birds playing for a while.”
“Venue Staff and Security were all exceptionally kind and helpful. I lost a sentimental item during an event, and everyone on the Staff/Security team went above and beyond to help get me where I needed to go in order to see if it had been turned in. The genuine compassion that I received from one of the Security guards (who's name I unfortunately did not get) when I learned that my item had not been turned in will sit with me as a positive example of the way that someone would hope to be treated in a situation like that.
Additionally, the convention center itself was clean and very interesting architecturally. I was only at the event for a day, but would love to get a chance to go to another event here in the future to experience such a unique venue again.”
“Nice shopping experience with a large bar/restaurant as anchor. There is no seating if it rains, so you need to huddle at the restaurant. We have stopped here twice for crepes and als stopped at the gift shop. It also looks cool! Like an old school cowboy town. Definitely stop for crepes! There are other random shops like a record store and a clothing store.”

“Just a fun, unique place to shop and stroll, it’s a lot smaller than I remember as a kid, but the dining options are great, and if you are into anime or your kids are in to anime and all those cute figurines, they will have a blast!”
“Shopping strip on California street and they have a bit of everything. Two grocery stores, dispensary, super duper burger, Panda Express, furniture stores and beauty plus cupcakes”
“A Nugget market and Woodlands Pet food next door to each other?! Excellent supplies for me and my best friends- meow meow. And a wine bar, excellent Italian restaurant and a coffee house in that same center? Why would you stop anywhere else... except for maybe a bank or gas station, which sadly, they lack.”
“We had so much fun at Pier 39, the weather was perfect! Our Goldendoodle puppy saw the barking sea lions for the first time and they barked back and forth lol! We even took him inside a photo booth, while they didn't turn out perfectly lol, we now have memories to cherish! The shops and restaurants are endless, I purchased a couple things from Aleenk Technologies and we had lunch at Pier Market restaurant! I would HIGHLY recommend visiting Pier 39, for breathtaking views and unique businesses! We parked on the 3rd floor at Pier 39 Parking Garage and it led straight to the Pedestrian Bridge Walkway, the access to Pier 39 shops and restaurants! We are looking forward to returning to check out The Flyer when I'm no longer pregnant! Maybe we'll even add a love lock to the Pier! ;-) SYOY!”
“Really cute shopping place I loved it. I took my dog for a trip to the ocean and had forgotten sun screen and had packed a lunch but forgot to bring a fork for my salad after trying the new TikTok green goddess salad dressing I wanted to picnic for my dogs fourth birthday at a quiet beach. We stopped in the Safeway for a fork. I had no luck locating any utensils at their deli or in store Starbucks but they had a great selection of fruit I was very tempted to buy and spent some time deliberating. Also great sale on maybelline. The Starbucks did give me a wooden fork very eco friendly. Also super cute poke place great selection of tea. Cute boutiques.”
“We went here for my wife. She loves the small cafe at the base of the business but we were here for the shops upstairs. They have a great selection of various Lolita styles which she likes. A little bit expensive, but you can tell the shops offer quality products.”
“I just found another SF food gem. 331 Cortland Marketplace. A co op of 3 food vendors whose food all looks amazing, but I opted to try Paulie's Pickling. What a delicious Albacore Tuna Gyro! With homemade pickles, tuna, cucumber tomato salad, tsatiki, all wrapped in a soft pita. Yum!! Washed down with mint lemonade. Incredibly fresh and flavorful. Definitely coming back to try Peaches Patties Jamaican and Mae Krua Thai food. All nestled into an immaculate Bernal Heights charming window front. You can opt to sit outside on the benches. Gosh, it doesn't get better than this for a casual sunny Saturday afternoon lunch!”

“A delicious lunch of clam chowder and fried calamari! Both were pretty perfect as was the attentiveness of the server. She asked if I was ready for the next dish rather than bringing them at the same time. This may become my favorite San Rafael restaurant!”
“I love how everything is laid out perfectly; from parking to easy-to-see store ? fronts. You can get groceries, banking, and basic health care all within walking distance and easy access to mass transit too. I also love the artwork along the road front; reminding you to rest and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. I don't mind a little traffic in surroundings that inspire awe and tranquility!”
“This used to be a pretty rundown mall, but it's come up in recent years thanks to the addition of a Grocery Outlet and several small restaurants. The beauty supply store is excellent.”
“This place is on a comeback.
They will open a Taco Bell Cantina which will pair nicely alongside the In-n-Out Burger here for some national chain anchors for quick and affordable food.
There are tons of shops, new and old and that replacing vacant storefronts. There is more life and traffic than years past.
All they need are more things to-do and this place will be humming like the old days.
I love running through here on my morning jogs and marathon training. Definitely worth passing through for newcomers to the city and tourists as it's the throughfare between Pier 39 and Aquatic Park/Ghirardelli Square.

“The transformation of UN Plaza is truly remarkable. The city has successfully cleared out the 'thieves market' and pervasive drug activity that once dominated the area. Most surprising has been the role of the skateboarding community; while they were once unfairly blamed for urban blight, their active presence has been the plaza's saving grace, keeping it vibrant and discouraging illegal behavior. The street ambassadors from Urban Alchemy have certainly played a part in this cleanup, though their impact has been a mixed bag at times. Still, I never thought I’d see this place so revitalized—it’s a massive improvement.”
“One of my top spots to hit up in Montecito Plaza is Pacific Catch, where happy hour is basically a religion. Their eats are mostly bite-sized and straightforward, but who needs huge portions when the patio's got a sweet setup with tables and chairs that aren't borrowed from a fast food joint or Starbucks? Too bad they drained the fountain with an elephant sculpture that thing was Feng Shui goldmine.”
“Nice shopping center with plenty of shops and restaurants. Clean and pleasant overall. Parking is convenient, although some people have mentioned feeling less comfortable in the parking area at night, so it’s good to stay aware of your surroundings.”

“Walking into this farmers market felt like stepping into a parallel universe where everyone is happier, everything smells faintly of fresh basil, and you suddenly must own a hand‑carved spoon shaped like a duck. I went in for tomatoes. I left with artisanal pickles, a candle that claims to “smell like optimism,” and a succulent that the vendor assured me “has strong opinions.”
Every booth is a tiny adventure. One minute you’re sampling honey harvested from bees that apparently listen to classical music, the next you’re debating whether you need a crocheted hat for your avocado (you do). I’m convinced the vendors have magical powers, because I bought things I didn’t even know existed, let alone needed.
The vibe is pure serotonin. Dogs everywhere. Babies wearing sun hats. Someone playing a ukulele with the confidence of a man who has never known fear. I felt like I was in a feel‑good indie movie where the moral is “support local farmers and also treat yourself.”
If you want fresh produce, quirky treasures, and a sudden sense of inner peace, this is your place. I arrived a normal human and left a person who says things like “this jam changed me.”

Cinema complex seems like it closed a long time ago. Shame.”

“Even though the image shows a car store..wr did not go there. Opposite of that is a movie theater. U would not think so at first walking in but ur walking past the inside of the old theater to the new one...it looks very futuristic to me... The IMAX is amazing and quite often sold out for big blockbusters. And the Dolby theater is my favorite. Such amazing sound!”
“We did the 7 Deadly Sins room. The theme was incredible and some of the puzzles were mind bendingly difficult for us. I was frustrated with some because the results did not appear to match what we were given, even after re-checking with hints. Maybe I'm just not at that level yet.”
