Hidden Valley Automotive is a trustworthy and honest auto repair business located up on a hill in Scotts Valley. Despite being somewhat hidden, its recent Uhaul addition makes it more noticeable. The shop is run by a knowledgeable mechanic with over 30 years of experience who is highly regarded for his integrity and friendly service. Customers appreciate the genuine and nice staff who prioritize honest work and do not pressure clients into unnecessary repairs. The business is known for going above and beyond to diagnose vehicle issues, even when the problems are intermittent or difficult to replicate. For example, one customer’s family van had a mysterious problem that took days to diagnose, with the owner personally driving the vehicle in different conditions to find the cause. Ultimately, the mechanic refused payment when unable to repair the issue, demonstrating a high level of trustworthiness. Many customers have praised the shop for its speed, professionalism, and transparent communication. The mechanic is especially noted for his honesty—only working on what is needed and ensuring customers receive cost-effective solutions. The team at Hidden Valley Automotive is considered reliable, caring, and committed to providing quality service for all vehicle needs.
Dan does a great job and won’t charge you an arm and a leg. He’s very honest and I trust him completely when he says something needs replaced. I normally give him just a days notice and he’s able to fit my car in. I highly recommend him!

Old dude is pretty chill. Seems to have some questionable people lurking around his shop sometimes… gave me a really good deal on telling where to go to get my vehicle fixed👍 always has 102.5 K Don on blast. Taylor Swift used to be my favorite as a child. It really brings back the memories.🔥
