“Want furniture? Like great value and service with a smile? Here’s a great store to check out. My wife loves to look endlessly for the right chair, table, or couch—ad infinitum! She discovered this gem, and now it’s on the top of her “go to” list when she needs (mostly wants!) to redecorate a room. We’ve bought all three (chair, table, and two couches) so far from this shop. And each one has been a good value and pleasant experience—the latter even tasty—they serve a bowl of delicious candies at their back counter. I like sitting in their chairs while my wife shops and talking to the new owner who loves to talk baseball with a friendly smile—though he’s not in love with my favorite team.”

“Finally made it into Ethos today after hearing about it from friends for years. This place is gorgeous, well-curated & inspiring. The front of shop is stocked with fun stuff like penguin dryer balls, fetching lunch boxes and fabric napkins. The back of shop is where the true magic happened for me tho. I have a dream of transitioning my family to plastic-free beauty/ hygiene routines and this place might just make it possible. High quality steel razors with replaceable blades, floss in bamboo canisters and of course, the REFILLERY. I started simply with shampoo/ conditioner, a face serum and some SPF face cream, all in glass or aluminum containers. The 2 rad young ladies working today were a huge help as I figured out how to use their system. So grateful for this inspiring, beautiful little store! She packs a mighty punch.”

“Botanic & Luxe is such a lovely spot. I love stopping by whenever I’m in downtown Santa Cruz. The staff is always so friendly, and the shop has a gorgeous selection of locally made art — prints, paintings, pottery, candles, and so much more. The aesthetic of the store is stunning, and it always smells amazing. It’s one of my favorite places to pick up a thoughtful gift.
I also really appreciate how the staff wraps purchases so beautifully — it adds such a sweet touch. I recently visited with my mom after we stopped by a craft fair happening downtown. She had bought some perfumes from one of the vendors and accidentally left the bag behind when we were browsing in Botanic & Luxe. After we left, she realized it was missing. We called the store, and at first the woman working (I believe her name was Heather) didn’t see it, but she took the time to look again and even called me back to let me know she’d found the small bag. We went back and picked it up without any issues.
Overall, the customer service here is incredible, and the shop itself is a true hidden gem full of quality items. Please shop local and support small women-owned businesses — places like this deserve it!”

“Pueblo Viejo is a beautiful shop in Capitola. And I do mean beautiful... like an art gallery. If you love Mexican handicrafts, pottery, furniture, artwork and jewelry you will love this store. I was especially impressed with the mirrors framed in hammered silver. Here you will find unique gift items as well as home decor. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot.”

A lovely woman showed me around and told me about the items. I honestly wish I had the money and space to buy lots of goodies in there delightful smelling lotion. If you're out on 41st avenue, don't miss this special little shop.”
“Great store with tons of options! This location has quite a lot of furniture and lighting, and they're all very well priced and seem to be good quality. On top of the furniture, they have a ton of fun foods and drinks at the back, mostly all imported from around the world. It's a great option to get something that you've never tried before, had once on vacation and have been craving since, or just for your fix of goodies. The staff are friendly, and the store is well maintained.”
