“WE LOVE THIS PLACE! My husband and I purchased a couch from here for our first home. Rick was the sweetest! They have so much selections of furniture, swatches of fabric, etc. We got our made to order couch in about 4wks, which was perfect and Rick kept us updated the whole way! 100% recommend this place”

“It has almost anything you could need if you are an artist that paints, or someone that uses a sketchbook.

They have materials for you to make your own custom canvas and high quality paints in different mediums. The store also has a good variety of sketchbooks to choose from, made for most mediums. (They also have cute washi tape that I love).

For it being a smaller sized store compared to the average supply store, it’s filled to the brim with great materials. I love going there for materials. It is the best art supply store I’ve ever shopped at.”

“I have gone to Brentwood Art & Framing Gallery for two large sports memorabilia projects. Richard is the best to work with. He is thorough, takes his time and never rushes during the creative process. He is friendly, great personality, meticulous about detail, artistic, and allows the customer to be fully involved in the process. I trust his decisions, ideas and expertise. They deliver high quality, professional work with very little wait time and I have been fully pleased with everything I’ve had done there. Thanks Brentwood Art & Framing Gallery!”

“I have never been more welcomed in store ever in my life! The ladies here are beyond amazing! We were just in the area and happened to come across this store. We walked in and were really just looking around. I found a cool pin for a friend and safety pin earrings. My husband loves beaded bracelets and came across this multi-colored bracelet, but it was a little small. He asked if they had one in a larger size, which they didn't. The ladies did him one better, they offered to make the bracelet larger for him and let him know he could pick it up the next day. Even went so far as to tell him not to feel obligated to pick it up.

Thank you all for the good vibes, great convo and great customer service ❤️

We appreciate everything you're doing and everything you stand for.”

“I have lived in LA for nearly three decades and knew about this place for nearly two of them. Sadly, I never made the pilgrimage until this past week. I was by the airport and art starved. The gallery I most visit had not had a new show in some time and honestly, the last year plus have not been stellar. I carved out some time and drove down Jefferson via Culver CIty. I knew was in for something good when I started to spot some murals on route. I am always enlightened by the random happenstance of the great gift of public art when executed well. I found a space right across the street (by an amazing mural and big shout out to @trekthunderkelly. You have to visit Thinkspace to see the large wall because it is not online! I had no idea what to expect as per size and scope. I don't like to spoil visits by looking at the show online. I was really pleased by the size very spacious and a very strong mix of low brow (reminiscent of my prior favorite gallery via former curator from years back). I found a new artist that immediately went to the top ten tier of low brow artists. I brow beat myself for not coming sooner but I do live over in the Valley and I have a demanding job and business on the side so, I have to give myself some reprieve. The fact of the matter is there are a lot of galleries and sometimes even ones I don't visit will have someone I really like and so, some is left to chance but this gallery seems to deliver consistent top quality and name 'loow brow' artists. I will make more of an effort to drop into more shoes when out near West LA because I would deem it worthwhile and also add in some art hunting while in this uninvestigated (at least by me) area. The neighborhood is gentrified and gives a Los Feliz meets Highland Park (York Blvd) vibe. You hit pay dirt if this is your scene.”

“Great store but I just wish they would have let us keep our earned book club credit. I understand they gave some people a heads up and i understand they probably have financial reasons for making this change but it was pretty disappointing to hear that the credits I earned just got whiped. I come hear sparingly as I mostly read digital these days so I wasnt aware of any changes to their system either. Other than that the guys here are super friendly and always help me find what I want with a smile.”

“Oh my golly I cannot believe how great a job they did with my prized possession! I have been holding onto getting this framed for a while because I didn’t want it to get messed up and it’s priceless to me. After talking to several framers, I went with Torii and her team at The Picture Framing Company. She walked me through all of the options and price points while taking all of my questions and delivered beyond my dreams. I am so happy to finally have this up in our home. Thank you!!”

“Jeffrey Deitch Gallery on Orange Drive in Los Angeles is one of the most dynamic spaces in the city and tonight’s visit for the opening of It Smells Like Girl confirmed why it remains essential. The gallery at 925 N. Orange Drive has the scale and clarity to showcase large works, yet the curation always feels intimate and purposeful.

The exhibition itself is both beautiful and provocative, a collaboration with Company Gallery in New York. It brings together over 30 women artists exploring ideas around hysteria, emotion, repression, performance, and power. Walking through the space, you feel each room asking new questions, balancing quiet reflection with bold confrontation. Nadia Lee Cohen’s installation centered on “Mother” was especially striking, pulling you into a hyper real world that is cinematic, unsettling, and unforgettable. Martine Syms and Juliana Huxtable also stood out with work that carried weight and urgency, tackling identity and representation in ways that demand attention.

One of the surprises for me was a charcoal work by Robert Longo rendered in such staggering detail it echoed the energy of a Pollock yet with total control of form. The contrast between the chaos of gesture and the precision of light and shadow was mesmerizing.

The crowd was as much a part of the experience as the art itself. The opening drew serious collectors, curators, and artists, the recognizable faces of the Los Angeles art scene, making the night feel like a cultural event. Deitch continues to create shows that matter, that leave you charged and inspired. It Smells Like Girl is a must see and Jeffrey Deitch Gallery is one of the city’s true treasures.”

“Copro Gallery is the best art gallery in Los Angeles. Tucked away towards the side of Bergamot Station, the gallery offers a wonderful collection of some of the best artists working today. The gallery was co-founded by Greg Escalante, one of the founders of Juxtapoz Magazine and is masterfully managed by Gary and Erica. The openings at Copro Gallery are legendary!”

“Been in LA for almost six years and I've been to way too many barbershops from dowtown to weho to the westside. Olympia Club is the best barbershop I've found. The staff is awesome and I'm pretty sure everyone's cut my hair at one point. The owner Frankie is born and raised in Santa Monica and such a gem of a person overall. Can't recommend this spot enough”

“I’ve had only good experiences with Clark’s. I’ve bought several items in several auctions, online and in person. I’ve also bought other items from around the country and shipping is almost always expensive, regardless of distance or purchase price. The most important factors are size and weight. So you might get a great deal for $200 but if it’s a large item and you’re not local, you might pay $200 shipping- not because you’re being ripped off, but because it’s a large or heavy item and that’s what it costs to pack and ship.”
