“The owners work hard to run this place and they do a very respectable job. Had his homemade chili and a turkey sandwich, my husband had roast beef Sammy. Both delicious- very satisfactory road trip food! The owner even toasted our bread upon request. Also when my hubby & I said were going to split a chili he asked if we wanted onions and cheese, my husband wanted cheese, I wanted onions. When he served it up he actually had onions on half & cheese on the other side. NICE ?”

“Bassett’s Station holds so many special memories for me from childhood and young adulthood, as my aunt and uncle once owned it. Going back after all these years was such a wonderful experience, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that so much of this historic gem has remained the same. It truly felt like walking down memory lane.

We ate there three times during our visit, and every meal was excellent. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The store is also full of fun and unique gift items, plus those little necessities you may have forgotten at home… like an iPhone charger ?

I loved sharing the experience with my friend who had never been to the area before. Bassett’s Station is truly a special place with so much charm, history, and beauty surrounding it.
