On February 21st, I visited this bank branch to order checks. However, I lost my driver's license and had to provide alternative identification. I presented my passport and social security card as proof, but the bank manager informed me they had to verify my identity and account before processing the order. It's important to note that I had also entered the correct PIN when prompted by the system.The manager left with my ID to contact the back office. However, after just one minute, they returned to inform me that they could not confirm my identity and account. She then proceeded to ask about my debit card. I explained to her that I rarely use it, and they then rudely asked why I hardly use it. She asked twice, "Why don't you use it?!" and demanded an answer. I found their loud and unprofessional question inappropriate for a customer service interaction. Despite this, I answered her personal question, explaining that I have accounts with other banks, so I don't frequently use my Wells Fargo debit card.Unfortunately, I was unable to order checks on this day. I am disappointed with the poor customer service I received so I plan to take my business elsewhere. On a positive note, I had a great experience with Bank of America when I went in with my passport, so I'll stick to banking with them.Update 2/22)24: I was successfully able to complete the transaction I was trying to make on February 21st at a different WF location. I used my passport and social security card for verification. Therefore, the refusal to serve me at this Signal Hill location needs investigation.

The 2024 manager of this branchis a beatiful professional lookingwoman that is totally incompetent and disrespectful to certain fellow human beings of different cultures, did my research after my same experience.I was only 5 minutes late to my appointment the bank was empty except 2 people at the window and one sitting down then me. She made me wait 30 minutes and never checked on me or went further into why I was there, then I found out that I've been banking as a customer with WF since 2016 and the person she saw ahead of me was a job interview. Is that ok? Should I have received that treatment and made to wait 30 mins with no customer communication in an empty bank? I want everyone to have a job but should that be done on customer's time? Then when they finally saw me they said I needed cash then I went to get the cash and they said I had to reschedule after i was already the first appointment and was disrespected. Now I must find another branch. Is that ok?

I made a large deposit to my personal account from my business account. The manager at her discretion put a seven day hold on the deposit. And said they needed to verify the source of the funds in my business account which is at Citi. I have never been treated with such animus and contempt. I will be closing my Wells Fargo account soon.

They don't answer the phones EVER!This person also expressed she didn't care about my business. Moving to Farmers and Merchant (which I said I guess I'll do) she said "ok sounds good"

Last June 2022, one of the managers helped me with my escrow even though I forgot to make an appointment and helped me close my escrow on time. I really appreciated him.

Service is terrible and gets worse. Tried to cash a $10,000 check give my ID, give my pin and watch for 2 minutes while teller does something. Told I need supervisor approval...I expected that. Teller goes in back room and 3 minutes later comes out with a supervisor. She looks at check and the screen and says she needs to call her supervisor. I have a 10 times that in my account so they keep me waiting....again. Hate this branch

Jasmine the one in charge didn’t want to change my check because The check didn’t have the date ,but have my name and address she is the worst and mind person I never go back to the back again ,I tell her to call the office to verify and she didn’t want to do it….go to diferente bank.

Customer service needs to be reevaluated at this branch. On 1/7/22 a customer with medical limitations/ medically disabled was treated very poorly by the manager/supervisor of the branch and some staff. I saw that the man was quite upset about the long wait and none of the staff was helping him after he had explained his situation. He said he was a cancer patient and had recently had surgery as well and he became super upset and did voice is frustration loudly but who wouldn't if you were being ignored. I understand he should have been upset with the security personnel since she has no control over the services rendered in the branch but none of the staff were appropriately handling the situation. The ones addressing him were being very rude and unprofessional. The "manager" stepped in to handle the customer but just was speaking very loud and aggressively to the customer and allowed the other customers to ok insult the man instead of quickly and calmly addressing the situation. She finally told him of wanted to get helped she would if he got up from the disabled booth and walked to a in different teller booth and stand you instead of being seated. The man did apologize for his behavior but she was still speaking to him very rudely to him throughout the whole transaction. After the man left, she was making sarcastic remarks about the situation thinking no one was listening but i was. I personally would not like to be treated that way hence i would not recommend this branch to anyone. All the staff seem complacent with the Manager's behavior. Maybe they should all be retrained in customer service and learn to handle these situations appropriately with a smile and not being passive aggressive.

No stars here. Absolutely don't set anything above a basic checking account with WF. The paperwork and the level of service for stocks or estates is over their abilities. Every step is painful with EF. The paper work each month is horrid.
