“I rarely go to Del Taco anymore. Right next to it is denny's which I have been frequently Visiting. But for whatever reason it doesn't acknowledge that I go to denny's.”
“Some stores closed but the Regal Theater is still there. But your tickets online or in the theater. Starbucks has regular porcelain cups for dining in and some food... sit outside by the fountain and watch the birds out people watch. Of course, if you gotta run, you can, of course, get the to go cups.
Farmers Market on weekends, sometimes music and art nights...
A credit union and a bank area also open. There's a Tesla charging station, with plenty of spots, on the West side, as is a Kaiser clinic facility.”
“As with many shopping plazas, El Paseo Simi took a hit in occupancy during/after the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, the property is still being maintained, and a number of businesses remain.Largest anchors are Kohl's and Von's, with restaurants like The Habit Burger, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Jersey Mike's, Coldstone Creamery, and others still there for shoppers / diners. We recently stopped in for burgers at The Habit and sat outside in the courtyard adjacent. The large water feature / fireplace sets a substantial visual tone. Though it was a little breezy that day, once it warms up a bit, it is a great spot to relax and enjoy your food.It would be great to see something go in where World Market used to be. I'm sure the shopping center managers wish the same! It's definitely true that commercial retail spaces are undergoing an evolution. Not everything can (or should) come from online shopping. It's good to go out and be able to see / touch items that you're considering buying. This large center with lots of parking, very nice landscaping, and planned outdoor spaces would be a good place to settle for certain kinds of businesses. Hope to see more the next time we're here.”
“Half of the business buildings are vacant. Only real busy sections are where the 98, Joan's and neighborhood market (Walmart) are located. Careful entering through the corner where Taco Bell is, lots of traffic there. Other than that very pleasant experience with my shopping.”
“Went to pay my Spectrum and Verizon bills in person; being that I'm retired now and gives me something to do to stay active. I'm hoping the whole mall square survive from being shut down or relocated. As of 5/6/2025, the mall is still there! The Verizon store and salesmen are always helpful.”
“This is a cool little shopping plaza with a Starbucks, a Lazer tag video arcade (that actually has working pinball machines), as well as some nice little eateries. It's located not far from the Ronald Reagan historical library museum as well as lots of outdoor recreation (trails, parks etc). There are other larger shopping centers nearby as well!”
