Very bad news experience. Today I just tried to return a modem. I was told by the cold representative that I have it register on the computer first. I followed his instruction and did what he said. I waited patiently for about 10 mins after I registered. He finally finished with the customer ahead of me. He looked at me and said nothing. Instead, he walked to another employee who had been staring at his computer the entire time when I was there, which made me think he is the security person. They both chatted for a few mins and then left. I really want to drop Spectrum because of this kind of service.

Spectrum advertised that I have an Anytime Upgrade option where I can change my phone by only paying the taxes. Now, after signing up, they’re asking me to pay a $35 upgrade fee that they say started just 4 days ago.
This feels misleading — advertising one thing and then changing the terms later. Because of this experience, I wouldn’t trust Spectrum with anything they advertise in the future.

My mom and step-dad went in to cancel our TV subscription since we never use it. They simply wanted to cancel the TV service and keep the internet because that’s what we actually use the most. However, the representative who was helping them was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful toward my mother. That kind of behavior is unacceptable — worst customer service we’ve ever experienced.

I had to return some boxes for a friend who was moving and the store employee was extremely helpful kind and very professional. The service was excellent

I’m appalled at the experience my 87 year mother had today on the Spectrum store. She went in to return their router and remove her landline service. The rep could not figure out how to remove a landline so he engaged another rep and then finally a manager got involved and all three could not figure it out. She was waiting and 45 minutes later they finally figured it out but then said nothing to her until she approached the counter again to inquire. She said they were rude and dismissive. They should be ashamed of their behavior to this kind senior citizen who has been a long time customer.

My fiancé and I went in to get internet for our new place. I also convinced him to move his mobile phones since I have been with spectrum with no issues for years. We were told by Aaron Chayo that we would pay a certain amount for the internet and mobile because of their promotion. We signed up and did not think anything of it. Before we left, he gave us a bag with a Xumo and said “it’s free, just take it.” A week later, we get the bill and he signed us up for Internet, mobile and TV. We never asked for cable nor did we want it. I had to spend hours on the phone with customer service before I could take the service off. The customer service reps on the phone were also incompetent, only supervisors have the abilities to correct anything. I’ve had great experiences with Spectrum when I lived in Palm Springs. But these Ventura County stores are misleading and unethical! Don’t go there.

HORRIBLE internet. my speed is routinely below what I pay. My upload has been hovering in the .03 to 3mbps when it should be at least 20 and download at 200 when it should be 500. I have had FIVE techs come out at this point and nothing has been fixed. its an issue with the street level but they refuse to fix it.
EDIT- to their response, I have reached out multiple times. It doesnt matter, if it is not a business grade contract they dont care about you. look elsewhere. Screenshot of my "500/20" connection.
Edit2- Still unstable after several reassurances for better service, moving to another provider.

Going into a Spectrum store was a daunting thought. However, I arrived and found plenty of car parking, and the interior of the store is open concept and fresh. The associate assisting me made the process flawless ?
I upgraded, have new equipment, and am pleased w my experience today.
