My fiancé and I went in to get internet for our new place. I also convinced him to move his mobile phones since I have been with spectrum with no issues for years. We were told by Aaron Chayo that we would pay a certain amount for the internet and mobile because of their promotion. We signed up and did not think anything of it. Before we left, he gave us a bag with a Xumo and said “it’s free, just take it.” A week later, we get the bill and he signed us up for Internet, mobile and TV. We never asked for cable nor did we want it. I had to spend hours on the phone with customer service before I could take the service off. The customer service reps on the phone were also incompetent, only supervisors have the abilities to correct anything. I’ve had great experiences with Spectrum when I lived in Palm Springs. But these Ventura County stores are misleading and unethical! Don’t go there.

HORRIBLE internet. my speed is routinely below what I pay. My upload has been hovering in the .03 to 3mbps when it should be at least 20 and download at 200 when it should be 500. I have had FIVE techs come out at this point and nothing has been fixed. its an issue with the street level but they refuse to fix it.
EDIT- to their response, I have reached out multiple times. It doesnt matter, if it is not a business grade contract they dont care about you. look elsewhere. Screenshot of my "500/20" connection.
Edit2- Still unstable after several reassurances for better service, moving to another provider.

Going into a Spectrum store was a daunting thought. However, I arrived and found plenty of car parking, and the interior of the store is open concept and fresh. The associate assisting me made the process flawless ?
I upgraded, have new equipment, and am pleased w my experience today.

The worst retail store provider ever. I walked into the store thinking it was going to be in and out once I got my provider. (it was my first time trying Spectrum). The service took too long and they practically made me wait an hour just for someone to help me. Once they provided someone to help me get an internet provider, I was shocked at the prices but willing to get what I pay for. For the price, I had high expectations. I went home to a couple of problems already. I had setup the internet in my house when I got home and connected everything to it. I could immediately tell the lack of quality from my old internet provider to Spectrum. I had called one of my friends in hoping to say “well atleast I can have good connection when calling people”. That was anything but the truth. Everytime I called ANYBODY I would have a lot of issues. Halfway through the call it would start making this weird static noise and proceed to make me not be able to here my friend or they couldn’t here me when calling. That was my first issue. Later on that week I got home from a long day at work. In hoping to branch out, I turned on my PS5 to play some video games. Everytime I would connect to a server, I could play for 15 minutes and then it would say “Please check your internet connection and try again.” Not even my old provider would lag out when online. I had had enough of this and called Spectrum to see if they could fix it. I called them and explained my issues. The first thing they said was. “Did you turn your router on and off?” Once I said yes and it still isnt working they sent someone over to come and help. They went and replaced my brand new router that I just got for another one. AND IT STILL DOESNT WORK. A horrible provider never go with Spectrum my phone is lagging out while I am typing this 0/10 never recommend.

I grabbed the new Samsung ultra 24 which includes a promotion that has been going on for three months and they have not updated me. Payment I already had other problems with this contract I made. I'm already upset and tired from coming to the store where they only tell me I have to wait.

Your prices are absolutely ridiculous now and the fact that we have been with you for many years and there was absolutely nothing that you can do for me says a lot about you. I’m being pushed to cancel my service and find a different provider. I suggest you lower your prices before you lose a lot of money. Unbelievable!!

Great cellphone service, Internet is off n on a pain. The employees are WONDERFUL! The cable price is ridiculous and has been canceled. But still a customer for phone n Internet service.

Spectrum is a horrible monopoly. Look at the copy paste "owner responses" That's what the customer service is like. I'd take my business elsewhere if they didn't have such a monopoly.

This Spectrum store is, by far, the worst customer service experience ever. I moved from another county and had to return a modem. However, unbeknownst to me, an appointment is required otherwise expect to be ignored. there's a true champ of staff incompetence with a name tag of "Christina." A real passive/aggressive jerk. Thankfully, I will never deal with Spectrum again. I would leave a ZERO if permitted.

Bundled a mobile line with existing Internet service. Transferring my number was painless and the customer techs were helpful. Much easier than dealing with AT&T.
