“I happened upon this place on a solo trip last year and spent hours in there. The owner was incredible and we talked about the history of his items, and how he got started on this business after retiring from construction during Covid -- his dream. His stuff is incredible, very fairly priced and decorated beautifully. Not cramped like some antique stores. I took my sisters there six months later on our sister's trip, and I'm going there again tomorrow for my annual solo trip. Can't wait to see what I find this time!”

“First several confessions... I am a perfectionist and secondly, do not work well w/ people that are not honest, knowledgeable and professionals at what they do... Renaissance Antiques excels on all accounts... I dealt w/ a great fella by the name of Ron and sincerely wish I had meet him sooner... I had several very old treasured family clocks that went back 3 generations and could not repair them do to shaky old hands and the lack of resources to find needed parts...They were able to find all necessary delicate parts and also had the resources to have some custom ground beveled glass made that was missing... They refinished the brass case on an old tarnished carriage clock and it was obvious it was done w/ attention to detail...These folks are at the very top of their game and can not say enough positive comments... “We stumbled in here after exploring parts of Solvang. This place is owned by the sweetest couple. They were so nice and helpful when we were looking around. They had a lovely selection of jewelry and other antiques. The prices were not too bad. There was a lovely music box and the owner noticed us looking at it and she went ahead offered to crank it for us. A lot of their selections are available online too, so I highly recommend looking on their website.”

“They have some really beautiful handmade cookoo clocks, both mechanical and battery powered. It's definitely a blast from the past. I had a cookoo clock growing up. The staff was helpful and informative. They also have other things besides cookoo clocks. If you are not familiar with cookoo clocks or how they work, I would stop in and take a look. It's definitely worth the time.”

“This family owned shop is a local treasure. Filled with anything Danish from legos to china it is a treasure. I love to slowly walk around and find something to remind me of this fabulous town with all the history and quirky traditions. Honor small family owned shops and explore this gem. Oh and don't forget the 2 affiliated shops next door. One is filled with quality toys and the other upstairs has fabrics.”

“This is such a cute little store. I bought necklaces here where you have to crack open an actual mussel shell. Super unique gift for sure. They show you the design of the necklace outside the box and you kind of pop in the pearl in its designated space. The store also carries a bunch of Christmas items. I love that. They have everything from shirts, socks, memorabilia, etc. Stop by and find all the goodies for yourself. The prices are moderate.”

“I've been to this place many times before but never did a review. There were two girls in the store and they were both very friendly and helpful. I collect bunny pins and they had the cutest ones. Most of my pins are bigger and these were little so I bought a pink one. I also bought a couple of other small items. Pricing was reasonable as most of the stores are in the area.”
“One of my favorite shops to visit in this town. So many very fine clocks. All very well made. Just don't go right on the hour. Three hundred clocks all playing coo coo at the same time. It is quote the experience. But I must admit the owner educated me about the fine clocks and if ever I am in the mood to buy a coo coo clock I would definitely buy one here.”
