Boy have I been loyal to BofA and I still will be, but sometimes it's the simplest of things that can drive you absolutely nuts with places, ya know what I mean? So what is it in this case? Good question. I was working with a friend on a real estate transaction and I simply needed a copy of a check with my name and address on it. Easy enough, except I was away from home and away from my check books that have been collecting dust for ages. Who uses checks anymore?! Mute point, I still needed to provide what was needed. The solution was to go into a branch and grab a counter check. I think you know where this is going by now, right? Welp, asking for a counter check was a request that had me questioning if I had three heads by the way the teller looked at me. After consulting someone else it was determined that either they didn't have the ability to provide me one or didn't want to. I'm sure it was the first of the two. So what do you do in a situation like this? You go next door to Chase where you have additional accounts and they provide them in 5 min or less. Thanks Chase!

Their loan representatives are very junior in the profession, and I have a hard time communicating what my business needs with the staff. Often do not have best rates available. Typically when I call, no one is available to answer the calls, their voicemail says to use the online banking to schedule an appointment!

No people to help you out so I am going to a bank that has folks working there . Sometimes you need a real person and not on hold on the phone for an hour .

Obviously most have a terrible experience here, but for me it's really been okay to be honest. The tellers range from wonderful to downright terrible, so it's really a luck of the draw. Not to say their attitude was bad, just really did not care about their job and makes the interaction awkward. Their relations department is wonderful to work with though, many follow ups after several visits to make sure everything was adequate. Lines during peak hours can be horrendous, so I'd suggest making sure you visit during off hours as this is the only BOFA location in Sonoma and nearby. Outside of that, it's a regular BOFA bank, so nothing too special. To be fair, hard to really put anything on the level of many non large conglomerate banks.

BoA is one of the worst banks I ever encountered and the St. helena branch is so inept, untrained, understaffed, stupid, lacking any sort of costumer relations nor customer service that I decided to close my accounts that I had for almost 30 years. I have given them a chance for 5 years and instead of improving they keep getting worse. The current manager is lacking in training, customer skills and he is either untruthful or just not that bright. I already transfered to First Republic around the corner who have excellent service, good CD rates, trained, friendly personell who were able to help me in 2 min. verifying on a form that I am still alive. Brenda who helped me is fantastic. Whereas BoA who used to do the yearly verification since 2005, for the last 5 years took up to an hour to figure out which stamp to use on the form and this time, the manager after talking on the phone to his boss who then had to ask his boss, finally after 20 min. told me the bank doesn't provide this service any longer.

The customer service at this place is very bad. When I went to the counter for the deposit, the teller (her name is Evelyn) has no smile or greeting at all, just put a straight face. I wanted to deposit some money to an account and asked her to check if the account number and the name on the account is match, but she asked me to go to see the banker instead because there's a line behind me. When I did the same thing at Wells Fargo in St. Helena that just a half of size of this bank, the teller there can check it for you without send you around to the banker to waste your time. I save my money in the bank but got treated like I owe them money. The customer service at US Bank in Sonoma is a way better than here. Maybe, I should thinking about closing my account and move all the money to the other bank. It seems they don't need my business anyway.

Seriously the WORST bank ever!!! Always always a HUGE line & only 1 teller open! But you'll always see 2-3 other employees just sitting at desks behind the tellers, chit chatting & obviously just not caring or wanting to help out w/the line of 10+ people! They're too cheap to hire more checkers, but thought it would be a great idea to spend $ on flat screens so that we can watch silent tv commercials for the bank while we wait?? Oh, that's just what we all wanted, I'm sure! When I had a problem there once, I asked to speak w/the "manager", who spoke to me like I was a complete idiot, & actually lied straight to my face! I literally left in tears! And the tellers can't answer ANY of your questions- they direct you to speak w/a banker, where you'll wait a good 45 mins to an hour to even get to speak to the 1 banker there to help!! :( Ugh soo awful! ... Soo glad I just switched banks!! No wonder every year this bank is rated the worst by popular vote!! Seriously, bank ANYWHERE but here!!!

My personal banker James Irby at this branch is fantastic. As a small business owner he makes my life so easy. He is always an email away, does what he says he is going to do, and is very efficient. High recommend this guy.

I went into withdraw money. When I got to the counter I Ask where the restroom was. The teller told me that they do not have restrooms for customers. You should know, that this bank of America is huge! I asked again are you sure because this is an emergency. The teller told me that since the bathroom was behind the counter she could not let me in. She proceeded to tell me where the nearest restroom was, which was two blocks away! After that I just decided to withdraw my money which was $1000. The teller slid the money across the counter and then just looked at me. I asked for an envelope for the cash, She slid that to me too. What ever happened to banks having restrooms, and good customer service?

I recently had a fraud issue with my checking account. Leah Wooster Sales and Service Specialist went above and beyond to help me rectify my problem. I appreciate all the tellers at this branch. They recognize me every time I go to the bank regardless and always address my needs with down home customer service.
