Excellent pharmacy with an attractive and knowledgeable staff. Especially Mi, Megan, Claudia, Stephanie and Mary. But sometimes they run out of things. But I still love them. I miss Melissa too.

Idiot who works there, falsely believes it's unlawful for them to fill online prescriptions. Despite having filled same prescription twice at same location. Beyond inconvenienced, and, exhausted by the fact that they refuse to do something which is so convenient for customers. Forcing me to go further, to do a medical necessity.

It takes SIX days to get a prescription REFILLED here, even if it's something that you have been getting here every month. This month, I ended up running out of my medication because of their slow service, running the risk of seizures. All I get from them is "Sorry for the inconvenience." Why don't they stock the medications that get refilled every month? Going back to the adobe place as soon as I can.

A woman who works in this pharmacy named Claudia is incredibly rude and condescending. I honestly do not know how this woman keeps her job. I have dealt with her on a few occasions and I always think the same thing when I hang up the phone. In the interest of keeping this G rated I will refrain from saying what that is.It's a shame because there are a couple of people who work here who are really, really nice. Megan and Stephanie have always gone above and beyond and are super friendly. Customer service 101, Claudia: don't take out your aggressions on the customer. If you hate your job so much, maybe find another one.I called in a prescription almost a week ago that Safeway has not been able to fill . They are telling me that I need a pre-auth from my doctor. My doctor is telling me that in her system she says that I do not need a pre-auth. She did refer it to her administrative department to sort it out but I hadn't heard anything so I called back.. the problem very well may be with Sutter and not Safeway but the fact of the matter is, Claudia refused to do anything and became super abrasive with me. She sarcastically called me "sweetie" and asked me why I was so upset. I hadn't raised my voice or become rude. Maybe I was a little annoyed because I called this in a week ago and I've called Safeway three times about it. I've also discussed it with my doctor on a video call and she is telling me it is a Safeway problem. Maybe try being more solutions-oriented and less condescending, Claudia.I am done with this pharmacy. I was already annoyed that they took away the incentive $50 gift card when you fill 5 prescriptions (it is only restricted to pay users of the app) but this was the last straw.I refuse to give Safeway my business after today. I will move all of my prescriptions over to Adobe drugs because at least everyone there is friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic service, quick and helpful, great pharmacist. Stephanie is the absolute best! Highly recommend. If you live in Sonoma and don't go to Safeway pharmacy, you definitely should!

I personally use this pharmacy and also deal with them on a professional level through the local hospital. I recommend this pharmacy to my patients as they are the most helpful. The communication is always on point and they are amazing to work with. It's convenient that it is also located in the store I do all my grocery shopping at. Thank you, Claudia, Stephani, Megan and Melissa for not only taking care of my family and I but the patients that I send your way.

They are awful. I made the mistake of switching here from Pharmaca. My mistake . I have just switched back. I went to pick up my thyroid medication which was very expensive. There is a similar medication much cheaper that I used regularly that had quality control issues that started in 2019. I asked if these issues had been resolved and I was told by the pharmacist "It's pretty much back to normal now". Great, i thought and opted to not pay for that medication and go home and have my doctor call in this alternative which worked really well for me since the pharmacist told me that "it's pretty much back to normal now". My doctor accommodated. The following week I contact Safeway, talk to some dude who tells me they never received my prescription even though my doctor's office assured me it had been sent digitally and confirmed received. They sent it again. I called Safeway and was told again by the same dude that they didn't have it. I called a third time, same thing. I was super annoyed w/ my doctor's office until the next day when I called yet again and spoke to a woman this time, presumably the same lady who told me "it's pretty much back to normal now". She seems super stressed, the phone was ringing off the hook and she kept putting me on hold. She said she had received the prescription the previous week but they didn't have it in stock. They would need another dosage. Oh. Well I don't understand then why the dude told me that it was never received by the doctor. She said "we do our best". Well your best sucks. She said she would call me back because she was all alone and the phone was ringing off the hook. Why is Safeway not appropriately staffing their pharmacy? And when it's staffed, perhaps staff it with people who are going to give accurate answers? The pharmacist called me back and told me that she was wrong, the medication isnt' available. Major mistake. Meanwhile I am out of medicine and now trying to have the original script filled by my doctor who is very busy. This is the worse experience I have ever had at a pharmacy. They are completely incompetent here. I recall the last time I came to pick something up the person in front of me was upset about a mistake the pharmacy made. It seems this happens often. Do yourself a favor, stay far away from Safeway pharmacy.

This pharmacy is NOT good ! I asked for my RX to be transferred to this store because I left mine at home in Tahoe. The person said I could pick the pills up the next day by 12:00 noon. I went to the pharmacy at 4:00 PM and they said they didn't have my pills and may have them by Monday ! They didn't bother to call me to let me know or anything ! This drug is a very needed anti inflammatory! I will never use this pharmacy again! I go to Safeway in Kings Beach and they are fantastic ! Poor people who live in this small town and have to deal with these inept pharmacists!

Over the past several months the Safeway pharmacy has gone down hill. They would take a week to fill prescriptions on auto-refill, so that I'd run out before the refill was ready. Got a message the refill was ready, went to the store and it wasn't. I was told to wait 15 minutes and they would call me. An hour later with no call, I went back and the prescription still wasn't ready. When I asked how I could get refills done on time, they said they were really busy. Told them I'd transfer my prescriptions elsewhere, got no response, just a stare (not even an apology). Gave them another chance. Same thing. Prescription in "Processing" status for 6 days. Got a message it was ready after I had run out. Went to the pharmacy before they closed for lunch break from 1:15 - 2:00. Arrived at 1:10. The pharmacist was on the phone. When they got off the phone they said they were closed for lunch. I told them it was only 1:13, not 1:15. They said they were taking an early lunch. I told them I was transferring my prescriptions. Again, no response. Went to Pharmaca and transferred my prescriptions. When I went back to Safeway later to pickup the prescription that I tried to pickup earlier and they said they didn't have it. They put it back in stock because I had transferred my prescriptions. Pharmaca had the prescription ready early the next day. Experience with Pharmaca has been wonderful.

I virtually always have problems at this location. The pharmacists are, for the most part, not on the ball, by any stretch. Highly not recommended.

Your employees are not taking masks seriously. I shop there daily and see baggers with masks below their noses, and checkers wearing bandanas, which do NOT work like medical grade masks. Why are you not distributing proper masks to them and showing them proper use? I would like a reply. Can’t continue to shop here until it’s safe.

If I could give no star, I would. This is an inefficient, inept pharmacy. I have been patient for the past three years, listening to the "we've had staff turnover...we've got some great people signed on" lies. I've kept my prescriptions there because I shop at Safeway so it feels convenient. No longer...I'm done. Three days ago, my physician called in prescriptions at 10:00 AM. Yesterday morning I got an automated call that my prescriptions were ready. Three hours later I drove to Safeway to pick them up. They weren't ready and I had to wait for 20 minutes. I also had a prescription for a shingles vaccination. When I was told that the co-pay would be $108, I decided not to get it and to contact my insurer. Today, my husband went to CVS to get the same vaccination and paid a $56 co-pay. We have the same insurance so I was confused, to say the least. When I called Safeway to get an explanation for the discrepancy, they told me to call Medicare. I waited online for 20 minutes to be told that Medicare doesn't cover shingles vaccinations, something that Safeway should have known. I spent another 40 minutes on the phone with Blue Cross/Blue Shield only to be disconnected. When I called Safeway Pharmacy back, they said they couldn't help me. Spare me...I'm going to CVS.
