Girl at the front desk was very nice and an informative person. However the technician who was supposed to fix my iPhone 13 Pro screen display with rgb lines refused to work on it unless I "intentionally smashed the screen". Wonder if apple knows that Best Buy's are telling their customers to smash their screens purposely before they work on them? They lady at the front kindly told me "I should probably just go to an Apple Store for repairs" geek squad is essentially useless. Not the lady at the counters fault though. She deserves a raise for being so polite and having good customer service.

Absolute scam. If you buy a service for one year it will be autorenewed without notification, invoice or receipt.

Have been subscribed to Geek Squad service for years but rarely had occasion to use them. Today had problems with attaching scanned documents to an urgent e-mail in order to close on a property. I set an appointment up with Geek Squad but, when I arrived I was told that, "while you have an appointment" we're short staffed so you'll have to come back as a walk-in. Several hours later I was finally called for service. There were no other customers. A young lady was designated to help me. I've rarely seen a person in customer service as disinterested and disconnected. I couldn't even hold her attention to explain the problem, since she was busy chatting with another Geek Squad employee about other things. Long story short - not only did I not get my issue resolved but was also never treated with such a total lack of interest or effort. Save your money - it's not worth it.

My laptop that I bought a year prior from Best Buy was malfunctioning so I factory reset it and tried every solution in the book. Believing it was a hardware issue I took it into geek squad and all they did was factory reset it and once I received the laptop it was still broken. I then sent it to Asus where they told me it was indeed a motherboard failure and replaced it.\\n\\nPoint being, don’t expect geek squad to fix anything beyond what a quick Google search can fix.

I pay $199 a year and every time I call they are unable to resolve my computer issue. Looking for another vendor to assist. Don't waste your time nor money. All of their reps seem to be incompetent.

On 4/25/2022 I went to Best Buy to ask a member of the customer service department, the Geek Squad, for assistance with my new phone. I was met by a young man named Jacob. He accomplished in 15 minutes what ATT couldn't do in 2 days. Jacob was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. I was pleased with the service I received from the "Geek Squad" and will not hesitate to pass this knowledge on to others. Job well done Jacob.

We are literally $17,000 out of pocket from supplies and services sold to us by geek squad and never installed. Konrad and his team are Frauds!! They literally sold us a vision of how our house could run with technology and then never responded or replied to our DOZENS of requests to complete the job. By far the worst experience we have had with any service or implementation team. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO RUN from Best Buy and there scam of a service.

Today two geek squad employees did a really poor job of a simple Refrigerator door hinge reversal, that I paid $50 to have done. The brand new $800 refrig now has small surface chips by the hinges they reinstalled, a plug for one of the screw holes is missing on the bottom and the three plugs on the top of the unit are not fully seated and cocked at an angle.. They didn't use the correct supplied tool to remove the plugs; instead, they damaged them by using a screwdriver as a chisel, and then attempted to fully seat the plugs using a pair of pliers that further gouged the plugs smooth surface. They appeared to be in a big rush to leave, and I can see why.

This is for the Capitola CA location - I called every phone extension to reach an actual person and they were all ring no answer. I called Sales, Geek Squad, Appliances, they would all just sit and ring then hang up. I finally got through on my 6th call to appliances (20 minute hold music.before I hung up. I was calling because I never received an an email for a pick up order I placed in their store... Can you design a system that's less responsive...? Don't buy from them unless you want to walk in and talk to stressed out staff dealing with non tech savvy people all day. Looking for minimal effort here - not helpful in the least...

Don't use Geek Squad from Best Buy. They are totally incompetent and don't stand behind their 'work'. If I could rate them a 0, I would. I bought a laptop at the very end of May 2020. I had sporadic issues with it for the first few weeks. Then after about 3 weeks, I went to Geek Squad online. The 'Tech' was totally incompetent. He took over my computer, then claimed he solved my issues. Turns out he did not. So at the end of June I took the laptop into the Best Buy store in Soquel, CA. They said it would probably take a few days. After about 4 days I called and they said they fixed a few software issues, but the touch pad was dead, so they would have to send it to their Service Center and it would take 2 weeks! I said OK, and I got an email saying it was checked in at the service Center. Then I checked in 2 weeks later. Turns out they hadn't even sent it! So then they said they would overnight it and I'd have it back in 4 or 5 days. After 4 days I called, and they said they had started running diagnostics. About 6 days after, I called and they said they were getting the parts. One day later I got an email saying I qualified for a replacement! I called and found out they had junked it! - because they couldn't get the parts! Nobody called and asked me what I wanted them to do! They just junked it and supposedly wiped the drive. The whole process was a nightmare, filled with lies and delays. However, it didn't end there. I called and requested a full refund for the laptop, the tax, the extended hardware warranty, and the $199.99 Total Tech Support. They had the nerve to return my money for the laptop, but pro-rated the hardware warranty and the Geek Squad tech support! Unbelievable! They didn't fix anything that I could use. DO NOT USE GEEK SQUAD FROM BEST BUY! THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

This store is one of the only places around here where you can actually go into a room that is set up so that you can hear what stereo equipment really sounds like. If you order stuff online you have no idea what you are getting. I got some Bowers and Wilkins speakers here and I love them. Also it is great to wander around and see real items that you can pick up and feel. We should support our bricks-and-mortar stores, and avoid the internet whenever we can.
