“I am from Montreal in a temporary work visa in Santa Cruz. I was referred to come here by a work collegue. They recommended me going for a Japanese car based on my needs. I was going to bring a car for pre-purchase inspection. I was glad to know by email in advance to not bring in a car to perform the least amount of pre-purchase inspection to save money. When I brought in a 2018 Corolla from a used car dealership, they discovered that the car oil level was way too high and that the coolant level was low. It was great to have the report with pictures. Then, they recommended doing a leak test to make sure the car's engine was in good shape. Finally, I purchased the car and had it for a couple of days and it seems fine. Overall, it was a great place that seems to be run by nice people. They took time to educated me on the meaning of the test. It was a great experience. Thanks”
“I’ll start by saying that we can all agree any sort of car trouble or repairs is already stressful to begin with, right? Well, having your alternator belt quiet literally shred into pieces at 9pm at night while you’re driving home is even worse. At that time, we did not know what it was but we knew I couldn’t drive my car any further. My car was taken by tow up to Scotts Valley Transmission & Auto Care and dropped off that same night. By 2pm the next day I had a message from Brad letting me know the repairs were done and I could come pick up my car.I was in shock. Here I thought it would take days to do the repairs and I’d be without a vehicle leaving me in a tight spot. Brad not only reassured me they would do everything they could to figure out exactly what needed to be done but would also be mindful of the need for me to have a vehicle back in a timely manner. I’m so impressed by this shop from start to finish. It’s hard to come across honest, efficient and reliable car repair shops nowadays and I can confidently say, I have now found my go-to!”

“Everybody is so nice, professional, and really good at their job. Trustworthy and sincere. I was driving my 2005 Prius southbound on a Thursday and the big red warning light pinged on - the inverter pump was shot and the transmission would blow if I continued to drive it as planned. When I called Micks and told them that my weekend trip was a bust, they said I could tow the car over to leave it there overnight and the next day they would do their best to confirm the diagnosis, get the new part, and install it before their 3pm Friday close. Even though I wasn’t scheduled at all, they squeezed the job in on extremely short notice. I was able to go on my weekend adventure stress free! Thank you Mick’s. I will be taking my car here whenever she needs work.”
