“First time tattoo experience was great one! Justine was everything I needed as a first timer. I, loved the atmosphere. It was so relaxed unlike the hundreds of shops I walked into. From the start I was welcomed. Everything was clean and so private which is a great plus. I loved the colors options, and the fact that the ink is vegan is even better! Less toxins and chemicals. I love my tattoo. She did great job. I will be back if I am in the market to get another one. Thank you. I will recommend.”
“This was a wonderful experience with my friends for Galentines. Steve the owner was amazing. Walked us through the whole project. Helped us when when needed, gave us space to be with friends. He is kind, courteous and thoughtful. Went over and beyond to help us on our projects to get them just “so”. Thank you so much. Hope to come back for another project!”
“You can walk around so many levels and experience a world through the Artist eyes. I needed to recalibrate my eye and I got more than I imagined here. Thank you and I will return plus they have parking”
“My husband and I did a wheel pottery class for a date night here. Our instructor was Dave and he was a great teacher. He was very kind and helped make sure our pots turned out well. I was intimidated by pottery before this but my pots turned out a lot better than I expected. So fun! We are definitely coming back for another class!”

“Plenty of parking, tickets available at the show, all seats in the house are good seats. The performers came out to the lobby after the show and took pictures or sold merch. Super cool to have the opportunity to ask questions and meet them.”
“First time visit during 2024 Kwanzaa celebration. WOW! Who knew Long Beach had such an engaging dynamic art scene of Black artists! Painters, crafters, all had their works on display. Given the diversity of Long Beach there may also be displays of art from other Melanated people, and others, too. That night I was focused on the Black artists. Still, the variety of artists and art mediums was impressive. Once again, a treasure. A rare gem in Long Beach. It reminds me of the William Grant Still Arts Center in LA. Worth the 30 minutes drive from LA. When you go, buy something. Enhance your home with original art. Support local artists!”
“I had such an amazing time at the art walk. Even for people who aren't all about art, you can experience the architecture, technology, and history of the lofts. I will be going again 100 percent.”

“Professional, high quality and affordable.Purchased some art pieces as Christmas gifts and needed them hung onto frames. Called Artist Brand Canvas last minute and spoke to Nick. Nick was super friendly, provided creative ideas and was willing to help us same day. Showed up and was quickly helped with our project. Nick needed to customize the frames and offered us creative solutions. He provided us a super reasonable quote and asked us to return in about 10 minutes. We went to grab a quick refreshing drink and returned in about 15 minutes. Nick had prepared all of our paintings onto customized frames. It made the pictures more lively and exquisite. Thanks Nick and Artist Brand Canvas! Will be returning for all future projects.”
“I had the honor and privilege of having my nose pierced by the gifted hands of the Godfather of Leimert Park, Sika! The sound bowls, incense, and ambiance made it an exceptional experience that felt spiritually and culturally RIGHT! If you prefer the personal touch and precision of perfected piercing by hand, the Godfather SIKA is the man! I am very pleased with the placement, size, healing process and appearance. It's exactly what I wanted.”
“I felt like I was in a strange, different dimension, beyond just having good taste. However, the woman at the reception is very kind and there is a warm atmosphere. When I was having trouble finding a way to get home, he called me a taxi.”

“I had a great time today at the intro class. The class would be suitable for a complete novice (like myself), or someone with limited amateur experience who wanted some guidance to start making their own scents in a more structured way. The session is very hands on - and a lot of fun. It is also as simple (guided) or complex (potentially using any of the scents in their large collection) as you want it to be within the 2.5 hour limit. Highly recommend.”
“Scott is genuinely one of the most talented, kind, thoughtful, connected & magical artists I have ever come across. He appreciates what it means to create a piece together and takes his time to consider if he's really the right fit and can honour your vision.
He has such a great way of editing a vision with skill and kindness to ensure it is ALL you want and more. My first piece by him continues to carry the energy of creation & brings me joy everyday. The strength power, movement and detail of my piece is unmatched and fits my body perfectly. He's also so great at knowing how to ensure the piece lives well with your body and where you envision it being.
His ability to create art on the skin canvas, as though it were an oil painting, is truly phenomenal.
It is a gift beyond measure to live the rest of your days with his creations. I cannot recommend Scott enough. A true rare talent in the world who will leave you grateful, speechless & in absolute wonder & awe.”
“I went to the Wisdome LA Art Gallery and had a great time exploring the different exhibits. The gallery is truly an immersive and one-of-a-kind experience that engages all of your senses. The art installations were visually stunning and thought-provoking, displaying a diverse range of styles and mediums. The light and sound shows were especially impressive, adding a dynamic and interactive element to the exhibits. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with interesting information about the art and answering any questions we had. The gallery is also ideally positioned with abundant parking, making it easily accessible. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that some of the exhibits felt a bit repetitive after a while. Still, I definitely recommend”
“The Last Bookstore, located in Downtown Los Angeles is a book lover’s dream. Located at the intersection of 5th & Spring St., it offers a wide variety of new and used books, vinyl, and other physical media. In an era where everything is becoming increasingly digitized, the magic of being surrounded by physical media is especially unique. Art made out of books, and creative design concepts make ‘The Last Bookstore’ a selfie hotspot. Several movies have also had scenes filmed here to include the Oscar nominated film, ‘Gone Girl’. Tune in to tour the most awesome bookstore I’ve ever seen, on The Cristopolis Show (YT / IG @cristopolis)”
“Nice little shop in the main area over here. Easy to get to. Perfect to stop at while waiting for a restaurant nearby (our sushi place had an hour long wait right next to it)”

“Got my Septum piercing done today by Tes. He was very helpful and nice. The whole procedure was quick and smooth. He’s an excellent piercer and awesome person! Would recommend!

“24/600 reviews challenge for 2023. The LA art scene These Days art gallery 5 Stars***** I found this little gem by accident and wanna share it with everyone, its on Winston and main st 1 1/2 blocks from spring street art walk an on the second floor. You have to walk up a flight of stairs but this is cali, so I know you're all in great shape ja! Once I wlaked up there I met the owner I think, Stephan who was this cool cat and fun to talk too. They dont get much foot traffic since its on the other side of spring street, however its worth seeking out. I I love the LA art scene and more importantly the LA art walk. One gets it all from a variety of artisans from weekend warriors to life long professionals displaying and selling their work. From prints, paintings, sketches, stickers, necklaces, shirts, hats, and etc to just name a few.. Having this diverse amount of artist is cool because theres somthing fof everyone to enjoy, buy, and explore. Now im an adventurer so I love going on a hunt for hidden galleries. Theres a map one can acquire that shows a lot of the galleries within walking distance. You can get one at the hive gallery on spring street.”

“Commonwealth and Council is a Koreatown art gallery of fairly long standing, open since 2010. I'm actually surprised that it doesn't have a Yelp presence, but I guess the people who go there are probably cool and interesting and not losery Yelpers like me (sorry Yelpers). I went for the first time last month, when I hadn't been anywhere close to an art gallery or comparable place in a very long time. I made an appointment online (this was free and straightforward--just had to book a time slot, so they could adhere to COVID guidelines) and showed up a little late (they did not care). Street parking was easy enough on a Thursday afternoon, but I had a moderately hard time finding the actual gallery. It's in the same building as OB Bear, but you have to find the doorway with the Alcoholics Anonymous sign. (A piece of L.A. history here: this is the first Spanish-speaking chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is also right next to a place called Amigos Liquor.) There's a door code to get in, then you go upstairs and make a couple of turns through a neglected hallway. Then, there it is--a welcoming, lovingly maintained art gallery full of light and beauty and fascination. When I went, there was a show by a single artist, Carolina Caycedo. That show has already ended, so I won't dwell on it, but it was pretty affecting. Sculpture and painting and collage thoughtfully arrayed. I eavesdropped while one of the gallery workers gave a thorough, intriguing tour of some of the pieces. The current exhibition includes an artist I've been casually stalking for the last few years named Kang Seung Lee. I'll have to make it back before that show is over. I talked to one of the gallery's directors, and he was great, very forthcoming and obviously passionate about the gallery. I guess Commonwealth and Council started in the owner's apartment at that intersection in Historic Filipinotown, only moving to this location when the landlord caught on. The space had fire damage (luckily escaped damage from the OB Bear fire) that had been covered with cinderblocks, and the owner and his artist friends got creative in both fixing and incorporating the scars. The gallery is really a family of these artists, a group of emerging and established names who seem to really support and like each other. Anyway, if you're interested in L.A.'s art scene, Commonwealth and Council should definitely be on your radar. It's a unique place that exhibits excellent work. I'm glad I went, and look forward to going again.”

“Note: this place is actually 100% vegan—I asked and checked. No honey. Everything is 100% vegan/“plant-based.” Cheri Rae created an amazingly delicious and nourishing meal when I walked in two days ago. Everything was well-balanced in terms of flavors and nutrition! Kale, corn, nutritional yeast, and more. Check it out in the photos! Also there are daily yoga classes here. I’d love to attend one day!”
“Eclectic, unusual, modern… a great space and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Interesting outside annex that once was a cafe. Too bad it isn’t still operating. Would also be a neat spot to host an event. I’m keeping this gallery on my radar. Be forewarned however that many houseless folks live on the street so the locale does have a seedier vibe further down from the gallery.”
“Love coming here!!! It's like my Disneyland!! My kids feel safe and welcomed here.. I still gotta watch them lol.. but whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming!! Awesome people, awesome service and just love Sand!”
