I brought my bike in for a repair, and during the inspection they found a hairline crack in the frame that I had completely missed. I’m very grateful they caught it — it may have saved me from a serious accident.
They also very generously waived the repair cost once the frame issue was found.
Knowledgeable, honest, and clearly looking out for their customers. Highly recommend. Have used them for several years now.”
“I LOVE this place. This store is a plant lover's dream. I came to visit from Florida so they had tons of exceptionally rare plants I've never seen and beautifully potted. One of most unique things about this store is you can customize your plant, meaning you can choose any plant in the store and ask for it to be potted in whichever planter you wish (even if the planter already has a plant in it, they'll just repot your desired plant into that pot). Its SO amazing!
They have lots of statement plants like your australian bottle trees, song of india, various cactus, and so many more. Also some very unique volcanic rock vases. This is the place for interior designers too as they had some cool items you can display in the house such as large driftwood pieces. Honestly wish to keep this place a best kept local gem but they are very deserving of the business, answered all my questions, and loved plants as much as I do!”

“The sisters of the California Cactus Center helped me repot some of my cactus and succulents and I couldn’t be more pleased with their help and service. I was hesitant at first, but they insisted their soil mix was premiere quality and they weren’t kidding—within days of repotting, one of my plants began blooming! Excellent experience, amazing people, and extremely excited to return!”

“Ordered 2 alter flower arrangements. Yuka made beautiful arrangements using white chrysanthemums, delivered prior to our service at Nishi Betsuin, across the street from their location. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. They also volunteer at Nishi's children's garden.
They also had a yard sale pop-up recently where they had their stem bar and found some lovely pinkish chrysanthemum, azaleas and a rose-like flower. Love being able to choose our flowers.”
“I'm not the gardener in the family - but my partner, who is, absolutely loved this place.
It's very aesthetically pleasing. Everything is arranged just so, with pink and green paint on the walls, and little displayed tucked away here and there.
You'd never know from the front door, but this place is deep, too. Many, many rooms, plus an outdoor area with bigger plants!
They also have some little non-plant Easter eggs, like a jukebox and pinball machine. It's just very cozy, very friendly, and a nice place to chill and get a couple houseplants!”

My father's one-year memorial was approaching, which has been a very emotional time for our family. I took my mother to choose the flowers she wanted for his memorial. By coincidence, the day we visited was also my parents' wedding anniversary.
After we finished placing our order, the staff surprised my mother with a dozen beautiful red roses as a gift to honor her anniversary. It was such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that meant far more than words can express.

Service was friendly and quick all around, and special shout-out to Kirby who helped me select a pot, transplanted the Agave, (they only transplant on weekdays, don't ask for that on weekends), and made the entire transaction a total pleasure. “Very Lovely nursery. Well organized. Really a treat to walk through. I would pay a cover charge to hang out here. Succulent collection as good as can be found within this much area. Largely outdoors thanks to the generous weather of Los Angeles. Also has good selection of soils, pots, vessels, Redwood baskets, wood, tools, many things needed for your home garden or yard . Densly packed place pretty well organized!!”
“I visited this beautiful venue for BeautyCon and it was the perfect location for all of the activities and goodies at this event! It felt like this place was architecture for this event! There was plenty of room for the food trucks and the panels, the classes, the booth, plenty of parking and for entertainment. I would 10 out of 10. Recommend this space if you’re planning any sort of event.”
“A great place for birdwatching! The nature areas includes oak woodland along with wetland habitats filled with willows and cottonwood trees with distinctly different animals inhabiting each environment. There are numerous trails branching out from the main parking lot meant for the disc golf course. Be aware and respectful to the horse riders and disc golf players if you’re going to romp around and explore”
“The florist experience for my youngest son's wedding on 6/20/26 deserves way more than 5 stars. The customer service in planning and advice they provided to work within their budget was extremely valuable. They interviewed 8 florists and Commerce Flowers went way beyond to build confidence to select them. All the flowers were exactly as my son and his bride had selected. The delivery went flawless to the church. BRAVO Commerce Flowers ...BRAVO!”
“I was at a large orange hardware store and wanting to purchase sod, though they had a small 12x12 square for 13 bucks!! I called Avalon Nursery, they can pre-order sod, but they have to have a few pre-orders, which is fine. Sod is expensive and doesn't have a lengthy shelf life. Anyhow, She had another customer who was wanting it, she will have it this weekend. This is a family owned and ran business. So why not make my purchase from a family owned business. I will also be picking up a few trees and citronella bushes. If they don't have it, ask, they might be able to get it. Thank you Avalon Nursery.”

“I work next door to the nursery and I had a plant emergency lol. I had accidently knocked over my co-worker plant pot and completely broke it. Lucky for me all I had to do was walk across the street to the nursey and had Randy help me out and he was able to sell me a new pot and replant my co-workers plant! And I couldn't be so happy and he was a such a chill guy and was so nice and patience with my situation. I will go back if I have any dilemmas and need any plants or plant pots in the future.”

“Drove up to the Monterey Park Costco Shopping Center hoping to go to the Home Depot for some succulent soil for a succulent display we are doing in our front yard. The traffic in that parking lot was horrendous, turned right around. I noticed a lot of nurseries are closed on a Saturday morning, but this one was open! Called up this nursery to inquire about soil and received a prompt answer. We walked onto the nursery and were looking at the soil when an employee walked up to us to help us choose soil. She began lifting up soil onto a cart. She brought the soil to and loaded it into our car. She was incredibly helpful! We walked away with a few more succulents and I looked over their houseplant selection. The plants overall look healthy here and are appropriately priced! Definitely go here if you'd like to support a local business, I'm glad we did!”

I think their prices are fair for the cool fruit trees they carry. Workers have always been helpful and nice. They have alotta varieties. I can't wait till my atemoyas and jackfruit fruit.
