We booked here because we read a lot of horror stories about waiting times for the rental places right at the airport. We took the bus 292 from the airport to this place which takes a few minutes. When we arrived, we were immediately served. The staff is very friendly and helped us with information and putting the luggage into the car. Returning was just as easy. The checked the fuel and straight away refunded my deposit.Can absolutely recommend renting here!

Very rude agent at the Gold Counter at SFO. There was some problem and my name did not appear on the board. Had to go to the counter and the agent seemed to be annoyed at someone and was taking it out on other customers. This was on Sept 23 around noon.

Guy at the front desk was rude. Cut me off and said "just what is it you want". I was being friendly and saying hello. honestly I've never had a good experience with hertz though.

Used bait and switch advertising, text one price for two different weeks charged over $100 more each week. Never sent invoices. Trying to contact them about issue with charges and lack their ability to send invoices was impossible. I returned the vehicle on Sunday however, they charged for the following whole week $558.17, when they had the car.I believe they call that double dipping. Never received deposit back. I filed a complaint but haven’t heard from them at all. Stay away-beware- it is a SCAM!!!!

One of the worst rental car experience I've ever had. Overcharged two days and for a cleaning of the car that I can't seem to get resolution from the company or location services.

Came in late from flight and waited in line for a while, paid ahead to save time is a joke, they did the check in and then had to sit and wait for the car behind many other people. Why reserve a car when after check in you have to wait for car to be ready.....doesn't make any sense. This has never happened before. Many other people are waiting just to get their car and there is still a line of 3 people waiting to check in.Very disappointed in staff as they talk to each other more than help customers!

It says open on Saturday on Yelp and Google. It’s not. I had to rent my car for 2 extra days because of the wrong information online. They also overcharged me for gas. I filled up the gas, went to my house, and then went to Hertz. Gas was nearly 90% full but I was charged over $24. I would’ve talked more to them but I was already so tired from trying to unsuccessfully return the car on Saturday that I just paid overcharged gas. I recommend Enterprise.

I would give this zero stars if I could. It’s starts with management specifically. They rented me broken vehicles multiple times than had the audacity to overcharge me and blame it on their district manager. They scamming people so they can get paid off a sales quota. I am a tour manager so I rent cars all over the world. This is the worst Hertz location I have ever been to…. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

I called the road service line and was told carry the car back to airport even the car couldn’t start. I would like to carry it to airport but just too heavy for me.

I had a very bad experience with Hertz. I requested for an SUV and they gave me a sedan, but charged me for an SUV. Not only that they also charge me for the toll bridges even though I had fast track. They do not tell you when you rent a car that you have to contact a different company if you have fast track and they will charge you an additional amount on top of the fast track amount if you cross any bridges. I fought with them about my rental not being an SUV charging me for an SUV even though they only gave me a sedan and they sent me to collections. I should have fought this even further with my credit card company, but I was eight months pregnant at the time and I did not want to deal with the stress of it all. I will never ever do business with Hertz ever again and do not recommend Hertz to anybody. If you want a better experience with a reliable rental, look up Touro.com

My overall experience has been great with this business. When I made a reservation online, the Hertz system bugged out and somehow changed my reservation to the Hertz in Burlingame in the internal system, while sending me an email stating my reservation was made for Hertz in South San Francisco (this one). When I arrived, despite the unfortunate confusion, they gladly accepted my reservation here and gave me the car. When I returned (return at the same location), they also gladly accepted the car regardless of the bugs. Everyone I met and talked with was professional and friendly. Would recommend

Had a prepaid reservation and when we show up to get the car we are told if we wait 5 hours(it’s already 6pm) we *might* get a car. Our reservation was for 5pm. Your employee was rude and seemed put out that we weren’t okay with waiting 5 hours or longer to play rental car Russian roulette. She raised her voice, wouldn’t get a manager, and had zero helpful information. Horrible experience. We ended up spending twice as much to get a last minute rental elsewhere. Hertz was zero help. Their only advice was to spend an unknown amount of our vacation time at hertz to see if we *might* get a car, but probably not what we booked. That isn’t how you keep customers.

Everything went well except1. No automatic upgrade for president club2. They seem lack some technical savvy as they tried to charge me an extra hour both at the time of pickup and return.
