“The people working in the smoke shop are rude and seem annoyed by the U-Haul customers.The U-haul guy tries to give good service. He is the guy with a very strong Saudi accent. He seems hard working and like he really cares that we have a good experience.He has two locations that he appears to run by himself, and he is mainly at the other location-which I think is on Hammer lane too. When you make an appointment to pick up a truck, you have to be there at that appointment time otherwise the guy is not there.We were running late so the guy called us, we told him we should be there within an hour. He needed to know the exact time so we said 12 noon. We actually arrived 20 minutes early but the guy wasn't there.We called him and he said he could not be there until the appointment time at 12 noon. Even though we were in a hurry, it seemed understandable, we just wished we knew ahead of time how this location worked. But the guy ended up coming about 15 minutes after our appointment time of 12 noon.Also, he arranges ahead of time to have the truck you ordered to be parked at the smoke shop, so you cannot change to a different sized truck, there is only the one truck that you ordered there, no other trucks to choose from.It was awkward waiting around in a smoke shop with the rude employees: an old white dude with a faded orange crew cut who talked like we was on meth, and the other dude was a relative of the U-Haul guy. Both of them just answered "I don't know" to every question, including questions about items in the smoke shop.When the U-Haul guy got there, he apologized and seemed sincere. Even though the website said that the U-Haul place closed at 5pm, he said we could return the truck as late as 9pm, which was good because we didn't want to have to come back the next day. The guy was efficient and did not stick on a bunch of extra charges, just the 15" truck for $29.99, plus .99 cents per mile, we had to replace the fuel we used, and I think there was a two dollar fee also.I would probably use them again but only if I could go to the other location, I did not feel comfortable in the smoke shop, the employees seemed to go out of their way to make me feel unwanted. I am a quiet, and very shy person who tries to stay out of the way, and it was very intimidating for me to stand there so long. (I told the U-Haul guy that these employees were rude, and he apologized and looked like he meant it. )”

“Victor is very helpful and very knowledge. He doesn't talk much so people think he's rude. But once you know him he's cool. And remember good service isn't cheap.”

“My family and I moved from California to Texas using a 16ft. Penske truck & a car carrier. We ran into issues on the way, but every time we called for road service someone would show up to fix our issues. Our first issue start at our previous home with a screw in the car carrier tire, second issue was the dead battery on the Penske truck, third issue was the tire tread on the car carrier that just came off, and then the fourth issue was after they fixed the tire we woke up in the morning with that tire being flat. With all the issues plus the delays just to get us back on the road we had, they helped us with not charging us an arm and leg since we had the truck 5 days past the original due date. Thank you for being there when we needed help.”

“Currently in possession of a rental from them. Noticing some negative comments which is baffling. The day, ultimately, I rented the current u-haul from them my buddy and I had run ALL over stockton attempting to find 'in stock' rentals posted from 4-5 other locations which werent even there including the Tam O'Shanter official U-haul location and after waiting for 20 minutes get to hear that their system was down so that was a no go. I suggested THIS S Center St. location initially due to amazing service prior. BOTH the people that may help set up your rental are past retirement age but the gentlemen comes with 40 or more years of exp. That means service being down means nothing because you can get set up through non digital means. The lady you may deal with is the sweetest lady you could hope to deal with and if your experience isn't the best It just might have your behavior as a factor. Be respectful.”

“Propane refill was quick and easy! I called to see if someone was available and the person on the phone gave me easy directions on what to do.
When I placed my tank on the fill rack, Melody the owner walked up and assisted me immediately.

“This was my third week in a row renting a truck from this particular location. Fast, efficient, and convenient. Zero issues. The whole ordering process using the app could not have been any easier and takes only a min or two to complete (both pickup and drop off). The gas station attendants are always super helpful as well - that is, if you should need help or have any questions.

And just fyi - its an offsite located directly in back of the Chevron gas station. So, for first time users it may seem a bit unusual/confusing not seeing the typical brick and mortar place. That's where you pickup and drop off your keys. I love it because it completely removes the middleman and allows you the freedom to do things on your terms/schedule. After using their services for the past 3 weeks, of course I'm going to highly recommend them. Uhaul rocks!!”
