A normal convenience store, that is conveniently located in Death Valley.

They had a great clearance area in a corner of the store that was called The mineshaft. It's where we bought all of our souvenirs.

Was here 4 years. Was one of the nice shops in the area. This place is currently having everything 70% off except the food, drinks, and sundried. Looks like they will be closing soon. There were plenty of stickers, XL and XXL shirts, magnets, and patches for sale.

Since the owner changed, they gave me a lot of discounts except for food and drinks, so I made a lot of impulse purchases.

The store overcharged my credit card and still have not fixed it after a month!! I stopped on 11/27/23 and bought a soda and a couple of granola bars for $8.59. They charged my credit card $859.35!!! Over one hundred times the proper amount!! My credit card company is assisting, but the people at the store and their administrative people are deadbeats!!!!

They sell mostly souvenirs and branded clothing. There are drinks and snacks as well. Restroom outside of the store. Gas station nearby. Huge parking.

I feared the worst when our car's low oil warning came on during our descent into Death Valley. It was a great relief when the helpful clerk at the Stovepipe Wells General Store took me to the motor oil shelf and helped me find what I needed. While they didn't have all kinds of motor oil, they had something close enough for me and more variety than the Furnace Creek General store did (I checked their stock later out of curiosity). While the price for the oil was relatively high, it was not unreasonable given the store's remoteness.
