“I am a location manager and typically work on larger budgeted shows which means some of the stuff I need to do is bigger and more complex. FilmLA has always been an incredible resource for me. Figuring out ways to close tunnels, bridges, roads...and keep a neighborhood/community happy, as well as keep my production company happy. The gentle balance of the public and my production being happy is a difficult one. Sometimes needs conflict. Many times needs conflict. HAHA. But we make it work. FilmLA makes pulling off the big projects in LA, the ones who pour money into our communities and economy, doable. Special shoutout to my coordinator CJ for dealing with my elaborate permits and Bosco and Derek for keeping the balance right in the world while we film.”
“To teachings of Kabbalah my name is:
I Am Here
A gentle who is devout in Judaism. I love the Zohar so much I am self taught in Hebrew to read Aramaic. Teaching of Kabbalah & reading of the Zohar is from here. You will get in depth understanding of who we are (the Vessel) and hoe to use it.
Without the teaching of Basic Kabbalah (non denominational) you may struggle more than others. It will teach you the importance of Consciousness (its not just about being awake to the world its knowing how to control it)
I'm an in depth learner where others like spouse & friends have a basic understanding which has hurled them into a deeper connection with the Light and their Practices.”
“On a gravel biking trip from Scotland, missing the correct Allen key for pedal removal to repack bike for travelling home. These guys couldn’t have been more helpful, allowed me to use their tools and held my bike whilst I removed the pedals. Cool shop - bustling ?”
“My wife had her first ESL placement test with Pars Equality Center, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful for how it went.
The test was conducted online via Zoom, and Intake Manager Mehrnaz Jaan made the entire experience so smooth and comfortable. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and thorough — she walked us through every step of the process and made sure we understood everything clearly.
You could tell she genuinely cares about the people she helps. For someone going through this process for the first time, that kind of warmth means everything.
Pars Equality Center had been highly recommended to us, and after today, I completely understand why. My wife is so excited to start her English classes, and honestly, a big part of that excitement comes from the confidence Mehrnaz Jaan gave us during the intake. She made us feel like we’re not just joining a program — we’re joining a community.
Mehrnaz Jaan — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The way you guide and support people who are new to this journey is truly special. We are so excited to be a part of this program and we can’t wait to see my wife’s English grow!”

“If you need something from the past or future, this is your stop. Really great inventory, and wonderful staff. Fair prices as well. Get yourself a Chubble while you are at it! I totally understand now why so many has been sold since its release in 2055, I believe?”
“This hidden gem is great for people and pets alike. The trails are well maintained. It offers multiple view points of the valley, some with shade. Its makes for a great workout or a leisure walk in nature. My wife and I enjoy taking this nearby trail when we need a nature bath or want to take our Shih Tzu for a solid hour power walk. Best of all, it's conservation efforts help the environment surrounding it.”
“Eco Station really feels like a hidden gem—I just hope more people start discovering it soon. Tucked away in Culver, it’s both a wildlife rescue and a science education center, and you can tell the staff genuinely care about what they do.
The animals are very well taken care of, and it’s meaningful knowing many of them were rescued from situations like owner surrenders, illegal trafficking, or being found injured. It adds a deeper purpose to the visit.
It’s a great place for both kids and adults—educational, interesting, and definitely worth a visit.”
“Went to the Dream Center today with my friend for lunch and had a big menu as well as a food bank that gave us 24 packs of soda and restaurant style free lunch for anyone and everyone in this World! “A genuine hidden gem in Los Angeles. When you go into the building, you are met by stunning art deco, speakeasy, and forties vibes. I was astonished by how big the building is once inside. I am honored to be a visitor since you must be a member or have been invited. We had a great experience. Bartender on point :) Met some wonderful people as we enjoyed a night cap. If you have the opportunity, stop by. Thank you to all military personnel for your service.”
“I listened to a movie of Ryuichi Sakamoto's performance here, it was a perfect night. The service staff here are very professional. I lost a hat here. After contacting them, the very professional staff found my hat and helped me leave it in the guard room. I was really touched! thank you all!”
“Friendly staff. Great service. Saw lots of happy pet owners and pets leaving the facility. Walked in with no appointment for vaccinations at the busiest time of day and was out the door after 30 min.”
“I wanted to say thank you to the Hollywood American Legion Post 43 for their donation of food to our Station during the Palisades Fire.
Your generosity was very much appreciated by our Firefighters.
Thank you!!!”
“It was my first time visiting this local VFW (2323), I was surprised to learn about this location located right around the corner from me that I hadn't noticed was there. The location isn't very flashy nor does it stand out when looking at the front door from chatsworth st. I was hesitant to come in at first due to experiences at other VFWs, to my surprise when I walked in I was surprised to find that this VFW is actually very welcoming and friendly. As soon as I opened the front door I saw that it was a warm welcoming environment vs the dark and dingy, unfriendliness that I have experienced at other VFWs in the past. I was welcomed in by, the bartender Tina, and a couple other guys, an older gentleman named Arnie, and a younger one named Anthony. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, they showed me around and when I saw the back patio I was truly surprised, it's beautiful, with a fountain, bbq and putting greens, they also let me know that they have live bands Friday thru Sunday. I will definitely be visiting this location again soon. Thank you again to Tina, Arnie, and Anthony for making me feel welcomed”
“I resisted Transcendental Meditation for nearly five years and was convinced it wasn’t for me. I finally received the course as a Christmas gift in 2025 — and it has truly changed my life.
I told Danny Goodman upfront that I have severe ADHD and didn’t believe I could sit still for 20 minutes. He met me with patience and calm confidence and showed me how to work with the meditation instead of fighting myself. That made all the difference.
Since learning TM, I’ve experienced deep emotional release — many times tears quietly stream down my face during meditation, and I come out feeling reset and grounded. This practice has helped me tremendously while coping with the overwhelming insurance process after my home was damaged in the Palisades fire. My sleep is noticeably better, and after my morning meditation I now feel clear about my priorities for the day.
I’m deeply grateful for Danny’s guidance and compassion. I highly recommend learning TM with him, especially if you think you “can’t meditate” — I used to believe the same.”
“I called because I needed help with groceries since government shut down caused food stamps to be discontinued. I was greeted with love and respect and tomorrow I will be visiting your location. I look forward to meeting you and I am so grateful for your help”
“Just got to visit once with my daughter. My grandson is hard of hearing. We went to Friday Family School. The staff is so helpful. They are engaging with the children AND adults. They teach the whole family so we can best help our children and grand children. The facility is clean & beautiful, too.”
“I attend BOND church online almost every Sunday. Visiting LA this weekend, I was able to go in person on Sunday and it was AMAZING. Something clicked when I found Jesse and he has forever changed my life for the better. I am grateful for Jesse and BOND!”

“Ring bell for Carlos if gift shop is shuttered but hours say open. Super delicious toffee. Pumpkin bread is their signature bakery hood and once seasonal only cranberry proved so popular it’s available year round. Be warned Carlos is an excellent salesman and you might leave feeling swindled but don’t worry everything you buy supports the nuns and boy does that peanut brittle sneak up on you proving Carlos correct. Eaten without it’s counterparts it is addictive bc it’s not sickly sweet like other brittle. Easy to polish off an entire bag. Carlos will also give a history of the monastery and tell lots of entertaining stories of visitors describing the goods as crack to which Carlos will reply that he has never tried crack so can’t rightfully compare. There are also more salacious Thorn Bird and Milkman esque gossip for the less easily offended. And nuns are human ones like when they go to See’s to check out the competition. Oh and you can also quiet reflect in chapel and gardens.”
“Since 2017, I have adopted and long-term fostered several senior cats from Perry's Place, a total of 5 fur babies (pictured).
The staff and volunteers at Perry's Place are wonderful! They go out of their way to help you find the right cat to adopt and solutions for foster cats with any medical issues.
I started volunteering during COVID and continue to do so twice a week. It is my happy place.
If you've never been, check out Perry's Place/Heaven on Earth on Thursdays through Sundays. The free roam rooms allow you to interact and get to know the cats more.
Shouts out to Joss, Eric, Leslie, Michelle, Channing, Leandra, Emma, Dr. P. & Mario; you are doing so much for so many cats who would never have had this chance for a better life, whether at Perry's Place sanctuary or in their forever home.”
“Joining the Junior League of Los Angeles was the best thing I did when I moved to LA - If you're interested in making lasting friendships, serving your community, growing as a leader, supporting foster youth, and so many other training and social opportunities, there is a place for you here.”
“Jenny was so kind, patient, and really took the time to explain everything to me. She made me feel comfortable and supported every step of the way. I’m very grateful for her help and would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs guidance or assistance.”
“I went there in 6th grade in 1979 and again today. Good memories and good people. My friend Will is an amazing swimming instructor there and you should definitely take his class.”
“It has been over 20 years since I last visited your store, and I want to express my gratitude for your support of both me and the neighborhood when it was needed. The staff at the store are genuinely kind, compassionate, and truly care about the community. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.”
“I loved it. I was taken aback because of the location but let me tell you that after I walk in, I was transported to another dimension. There is valet parking, certainly a plus. Inside you are provided with every you need. The event took place worry free. I would def. recommend it. It made me appreciate what Los Angeles has to offer.”
“this is the place. it feels like an upscale store, super clean, organized and when i went they were playing classical music :,) the pieces are so well taken care of, and everything was 50% off! then - i looked at the prices and they are so FAIR for the very upscale pieces they have. i found a $550 veronica beard sweater for 30 DOLLARS! it was definitely my win for the day. the two women who run the shop are so kind, friendly, and actually take the time to share what the shop is all about and where the proceeds go. will definitely be back!”
“I visited the LA Kings Ice Burbank for the whole hockey season to watch my four adult children. It was always clean, people are friendly, the times of games were always on point, ice was always in great condition. It's a great place to watch adult hockey games if you're looking for some entertainment. Free parking, free to get in to watch Adult League. I learned the game of hockey and became a lover of the game. Good job staff!”
“I needed some assistance with helping get a pitbull mix a home I called and the lady on the phone was extremely helpful. Very kind. Definitely somebody I’d want to get information from.”
