The local dealer finally received the range after two weeks of waiting. Call Yan if you need to buy a range hood.”

“We worked with George Wu on the design of our kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and front room. He provided excellent service, practical advice/design and prompt customer service. When one cabinet didn’t fit, he was able to get a smaller cabinet delivered immediately. His cabinets are also an upgrade from the KZ ones as they are finished on the bottom. Price was reasonable and it was easier to work with George compared to other KZ offices and cabinet makers. Highly recommend George.”

It took quite a few iterations but they were very patient and courteous and really understood our needs to make our kitchen great. The cabinets look really spectacular, and good quality, love the bright oak color. The price was actually cheaper than some other places we shopped around.”

“I was in dire need to replace a few kitchen cabinet hinges I've had since the 80's, and could find them NOWHERE. I was driving by Sequoia and walked in to meet Keith, the owner. While he looked in his inventory carefully for something I could use, he could not find any for me. So - he sat down at the computer and found the darn things for me on eBay! “Small place in Willow Glen, but with an amazing collection and they gave us a deal on our bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Anthony was fantastic and guided us through our (very complex) design decisions with a lot of patience, humor and good advice. “Went here to find some corner trim pieces for a remodel. Their selection is huge. They even got small sample pieces you can go off of. I usually go to homedepot for these items but feel reluctant to go to this type of places because in my mind I think these places are only for big jobs and contractors but that’s not the case. “Angelique provided amazing customer service. We purchased tile for our kitchen and all our bathrooms with Angelique recently. The store is not as big as some other places we went to, but they have a good selection and the service from Angelique was really a bright spot during our over 2 year remodel saga. Angelique is very friendly and patient and she had amazing response time to emails. She responded to email late in the evenings when the shop was closed, and she responded even when she was off on vacation. She even stayed late on a Friday night to enter our order so that we could get things as soon as possible. I didn't mention anything at the time, but we definitely noticed. Thanks Angelique!”

“We completed our first remodel of one bathroom and kitchen/family room. It was an overwhelming and unknown process to say the least. Gridley Company made it easy and took us through the steps one at a time from start to finish. They answered all our inane, simple and crazy questions. All their employees as well as their sub-contractors were great. They were courteous and respectful as we were occupying the house as the remodel was taking place. If there was an issue it was fixed immediately. The only suggestion I would make for the clients is to make sure you go over each of the choices being selected. For example, if you are getting cabinets, consider the height, depth and width. For the tub, consider the height. Other than that, e are already taking notes for our next remodel with Gridley.”

“We have shopped at dozens of stores and got renderings from atleast 10 places so I can say with what I consider plenty of experience that advance cabinets and Patrick in particular was the best in terms of quality of the cabinets and ease of working. We ended up at advance cabinet halfway through our house renovation project when we had already placed an order for kitchen cabinets but were still hunting for everything else. Store is not large but among the selection they had they managed to tick all the boxes for me. I wanted solid wood, non white option and advance had these beautiful natural solid wood cabinets. I got excited and quickly placed an order for both our bathrooms. We had worked with Patrick, he is easily the smartest person we had come across over the course of our remodel hunt. He had renderings drawn up in a few minutes and provided unbiased feedback. We were meanwhile also trying to design our tv wall. We got quotes in the upwards of 20k for just that wall and I knew I didn't want to spend so much. Then an idea struck me, why not use the cabinets from advance which are typically meant for bathrooms and kitchens in this area as well? With some careful planning I knew I could make this work but needed validation. We ended up at advance again and shared the idea with Patrick and within a few minutes and in less than 3k we got cabinets for the tv wall. Overall highly pleased with the experience and quality of what we got. They also have a huge selection of flooring options.”

“You will get high quality European style cabinets and hardware. They provide complete service from design all the way to installation. they also have very nice hardware options to chose from. Designer, that we worked with, (Cynthia) was respectful and professional and what we received as final product was a perfect match with what she rendered. The only thing you need to be aware of is the time it takes to receive the cabinets as they are shipped by ship from Europe (which is not unique to European Cabinets). Overall, happy with the outcome and totally recommend their products.”

They updated a tired '80s kitchen and made it beautiful and modern.Caroline took the lead on design and after a few iterations, we got on the same page. When it finally came time for demo and construction, I got to meet Ellen and Marc. Anytime I had a question, Ellen responded with alacrity and thoroughness. Marc and the rest of the crew were great craftsmen, professional, and polite. (Marc's also got a good sense of humor. I caught Marc singing a Backstreet Boys song one day and had a good laugh with him. Ask him to sing for you.) The crew was timely in their arrivals and always left things tidy at the end of the day.That's not to say that everything in the process was smooth--there were puzzling miscommunications from time to time and minor details to fix toward the end. But, considering some horror stories I've heard from others, these small frustrations pale in comparison.”

“I recently had the opportunity to utilize PHD on Junction Ave in San Jose for a shower enclosure/doors, and a vanity with sink. The showroom staff were beyond helpful with product knowledge, color/design recommendations, and availability. When we picked up the vanity, the two Asian women (no business cards, unfortunately) triple checked the paper work, and carefully examined the item for any flaws. The two helpers were careful in re-wrapping the item and carefully loading it into our car. We were unable to fit a 9' piece of backsplash in our car. A general contractor/PHD customer (Armando Mendez, owner of A Mendez Construction Inc) overheard our dilemma and offered to deliver it for us! He refused gas money, saying, "If I accept money, it's not a favor". The PHD staff said he was a "great" customer. What a glorious morning for me compliments of the PHD staff and a stranger!”

“Our guest toilet was constantly filling the bowl with water, which meant the flapper wasn't holding the water in the reservoir. I've fixed these myself before, but this current toilet is "special" and I couldn't service it directly. The Power Room was incredible. John -- in the store, he quickly helped me identify the toilet model I had, the parts inside, and provided instruction on how the pieces fit together. Art -- the new owner was super easy to work with, sent texts on the iPhone with estimates and line item costs. Not only that, he got us schedule very quickly. Chris -- the guy who came on site hit some snags while trying to install the new parts, did some thinking, did some research, and found a way to get the new parts to fit smoothly. He tested it and did a demo for us at which point we found related problem requiring him to more time. He was pleasant, easy to work with and kept saying, "I'm here to make this work. I'll make this work." And he did. He was pleasant. He had a genuine smile. And he was dedicated. Thanks you guys for keeping the powder room reputation stellar.”
