After my previous review, Phil from Sports Basement called us for a very productive conversation. He listened to our concerns and addressed all of them. Last Saturday, we took the bus again to Sierra and it was a great experience. The bus left on time, the bus was clean and working properly. The driver was quiet but did a fantastic job. There were no issues or concerns about him not able to control the bus. The host (Justin) was friendly and energetic. He did his job with a good attitude. He was there on time (actually the first person to the bus), kept everything on time and gave us all of the needed information. I give Sports Basement all due credit to fixing the issues on this trip. I look forward to using this service next year.

It is a bad service place. Please don't come. Firstly, their system changed this year which doesn't help the waiting line fast instead of longer and longer . We have been waiting for two hours to get our children's boots since we came early. We live the same area and haven't encountered with such the experience. If you come this store, you will regret. By the way, their service is really bad. I hope this store close and show up in our neighborhood anymore. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE, sincerely suggested!

This review is specifically for the Ski Rental champion of basementeer service, Lucas! We went in right after school to get fitted for skis! He was upbeat, seemed genuinely happy help us, and was great with the kids. Sports Basement Sunnyvale is a better place because he works there. Thanks, Lucas!!!!!!! You rock.

Alex is very knowledgeable and friendly! He was a huge help with shoes today. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for running shoes. He knows his shoes, what they have in stock and can help you figure out the best fit for you. Great Hire Sports Basement!

I rented some skis for a trip to Tahoe from here. In between renting the skis and going to Tahoe I suffered an injury and ended up not going. When I went to return the skis I thought I was just out the rental cost but the workers were extremely kind and got me store credit for another rental which I will be using soon. Great service and great people. If you need to rent skis get them here, it's cheaper then on the mountain and extremely nice staff!

I had an incredibly disappointing encounter at Sunnyvale Sports Basement. The general manager, whom I believe is named Eric, displayed behavior during my visit that seemed discriminatory or biased, making the interaction uncomfortable and concerning. This behavior, coupled with a lack of professionalism from some employees, led to an unsettling experience. There was a troubling issue with assumptions made about customers, resulting in a heated argument where company policies seemed to be manipulated to their advantage. This incident left me thoroughly dissatisfied with the overall service. It was disheartening to witness such behavior from the management, particularly when it appeared to target or disadvantage customers from minority backgrounds. There is a definite need for improvement in both customer service and adherence to company policies at this establishment.

I was being helped by River at the bike department. He was very professional / knowledgeable about bikes. If you ever need anything from bike section. Be sure to see River as he was very friendly / helpful and made my bike shopping experience that much more enjoyable. They also have great deals on bikes / accessories. Definitely coming back as I am also member at sport basement.

Sometimes you wish things would work out just like the employees say they will and it doesn’t here. Was told my racket would be done restringing in 2 days, i call on day 3 and they haven’t started it yet because they didn’t know what tension to string it at… so what if I didn’t call?? Then i’m supposed to be texted when it’s done. I call back a few hours later asking if it’s done and of course it’s done i just didn’t receive the text.. will be going to support a local tennis shop instead of dealing with the incompetency here

I had a great experience becoming a member and purchasing snowboard/accessories at Sports Basement because Jack and friends were willing to help out and teach me how to choose the right board and boots. I'm especially grateful for Jack's patience and expertise. Will come back and buy more :)

I was able to find everything we need. so far experience was fine until the very end. The cashier (Kayla) didn't have no interest in being there. As my wife thanked her kindly for ringing out our items, she replied "yup" and looked down at her phone. That type of energy would most likely keep up from shopping there again. Hopefully your team looks into this comment and take some consideration on improving the retail experience.

Have been regulars at this local store over the years. As the kids grew, we rented skis, bought camping, cycling, team sports, and ski gear. They are super-friendly, have a good selection, great prices especially for members, and love that they are local. Have also ordered online when items are not in stock in the local store.

This year my grandson started running Cross Country. I said I would get him running shoes for his birthday. The problem: neither of us knew anything about running shoes. Amazingly , the salesman in the shoe department knew everything!! And he took the time to explain the reasons behind his shoe suggestions. Sam will do track and field in the spring and we will definitely going back to Sports Basement to get shoes designed for that activity.

The bike shop is awesome. On more than one occasion George has shared his extensive expertise and time to help me make the right purchase and Chris helped me out with a new bike I was having trouble with that I purchased elsewhere. I’ll be coming to this location as long as I’m in the area.

Alex was extremely nice and helpful. I went in to buy three pairs of shoes, a pair of insoles, and a couple pairs of socks. He went above and beyond his job. He has been helping us for over ten years. He still remembers us. And because of him we got everything we needed and spent 539 dollars, which is with the membership discount. Thank you for the excellent customer service.
