“I planned a birthday and retirement celebration for my mom months in advance, and our group decided to stay at Granlibakken for the occasion. We also reserved the Pine Lodge as our event space. Our group consisted of about 46–50 people, and we were all able to stay on the property, which made everything incredibly convenient.
What stood out most during our stay was the exceptional staff. They were professional, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Some of us stayed in standard two-queen rooms, while others booked two-bedroom suites. It was great that we were all located within the same building and just a short distance from the event space.
The scenery is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views right from the windows. The location is also ideal—close to several Tahoe beaches and a variety of great restaurants.
We especially loved how comfortable everything was. The beds were cozy, the pillows were fluffy, and the rooms were very clean.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.”

“This place was amazing. Not sure what all the negative reviews were about but this place is one of the best places I’ve stayed in a while. Very clean. Make sure to text them if you’re gonna arrive late and they’ll set you up with a lock box with your key. The view of Lake Tahoe was awesome. I’ll be staying here again in the future.”

“Needed to find new lodging quickly after a bad airbnb experience in Tahoe. Tamarack had one vacancy left and we were happy to take it. This is a small mom and pop place and it's very dog friendly. We had our own cabin and we were very comfortable with plenty of room. They have a variety of different motel style rooms or cabins. Our room was clean although a little bit run down with an older carpet that has seen its share of dogs. However we would definitely stay there again and we loved the rustic lake vibes. This was just on the north side of Tahoe City about 1-2 miles from the busy downtown TC area.”
