“We camped at Village Camp Truckee for 2 nights while visiting Truckee and Lake Tahoe. They are a beautiful resort park in the middle of Truckee and extremely close to everything that you might want to see or do. They are super friendly and helpful and the RV sites are close but very nice. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.”

The dog picture in our room was funny and cute and the view was great and the beds are soft and comfortable. I think the snow was softer than other places.so I give the hotel 5 stars!”

“The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe in Truckee is the definition of what a luxury mountain experience should be. From the moment we pulled up, everything felt elevated without ever feeling forced.

Juan greeted us right away and set the tone. Warm, professional, genuinely welcoming. You could tell he takes pride in what he does. At the front desk, Convent and Angela were incredible. Efficient, polished, and personable all at once. Check in was seamless, and they made us feel like valued guests, not just another reservation.

Our room had an amazing view of the mountains and trees. Waking up to that crisp Tahoe air and looking out over the forest is something you do not forget. It is peaceful in a way that resets you.

In room dining was phenomenal. Not just good for room service. Truly exceptional. Beautiful presentation, perfectly prepared, and delivered right on time. It is rare that in room dining feels like a fine restaurant experience, but this did.

Lunch by the giant Christmas tree and massive stone fireplace was one of my favorite moments of the trip. The setting alone is stunning, especially during the holidays. Stephanie took care of us and was fantastic. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and just genuinely kind. Sitting there with the tree lit up, fire going, and snow outside felt like something out of a magazine.

One of the best parts of staying here is the direct gondola access. The gondola picks you up right at the hotel and takes you down to Northstar Village. We spent time ice skating, dining outdoors with friends, shopping, and just relaxing in the fresh mountain air. Being able to go back and forth so easily makes the whole experience effortless.

The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe delivers on every level. Service, setting, food, atmosphere. It is luxury done right, in one of the most beautiful places in California. We will absolutely be back.”

“I stayed at this hotel about six or seven times and it never disappoints. I have been here in summer as well as ski season and regardless of the weather. It’s always a good experience. I want to send a special shout out to Kiersten (spelling?) who is not only helpful and courteous but also patient as well as detail oriented because in the hotel industry not everyone can is as nice/accommodating. The food is good at the restaurant. Great selection of beer and wine. No hard alcohol so if you’re looking for booze, bring your own. Love the shuffleboard And overall aesthetic is very warm. On a cold day, you wanna walk into a warm, cozy hotel lobby. The pool is always heated and open till 10. The fire pit is a good place to make friends. I’m sure there’s more I could say but come experience it for yourself.”

“I loved it here! It felt authentic & homely. Staff were delightful & the room was wonderfully quirky with proper original old bath & sanitary ware. Super shower & nice toiletries. It was clean & well equipped but showed proper respect for its venerable age. The food downstairs was AWESOME! Great live music too.”

“This is a nice hotel. Location is nice & easy to get to everything. Price was great. Rooms where good & continental breakfast was a nice touch. Building is a little dated but that's part of the charm of Truckee. Would go here again if we're in the area.”
