Horrible customer service. Nobody at the branch seems to know what they’re doing, not even the manager. All so confused and asking each other what to do with no solution lol they end up having to call back offices and make you sit and wait for hours for the simplest things. I mean what a clueless bunch

Citibank stoled my money!Do a favor yourself and get any other bank for your checking account. I asked a cashier check from my other bank because I thinked that is the fastest way to move money to my Citi checking account. I deposited my check, Citi transfered it right at that moment and they closed my online acces and my account! Some incompetent employee made maybe some mistake. I do not have acces to my 60k more then 2 months! Nobody helped in the branch office, not online. Absolutely no answer or explanation. They told me I never ever will be able to open anymore a Citi accont and they handling me like a criminal. I have proof from my other bank, Citi holding my money and doing some investigation just because someone made some stupid . I am not sure If I ever will see my money without a lawsuit. Unfortunately banks has too much right to do whatever they just want without any control. I wanted to use that monu to make purchesis to my busines. Shame on you Citi bank big time. Probably they just laughing on this review because they can do anything The only stange is they refused any help from me and my other bank!Think twice before you open an account at probably the worst US bank. I think my case if anyone is made mistake could be cleared within minutes just the willingness is missing.Best:Steve V

Closing account after opening it just a week ago! My wife opened the account for us at the Tarzana Citibank last week. A few days later we noticed they spelled her name wrong on all the paperwork. We called to get it corrected and "Darin" identified himself as the customer support person. Darin was impolite and he was annoyed that we called to ask for advice to fix their error. He hung up without offering to help. He actually hung up on us as we tried to ask a couple of questions. Then we called to speak with someone else at the branch and got only voicemail; still have not received any call back from anyone at that branch. Weird. Hard to believe a big bank like this would have such terrible customer service. Citibank goodbye! We'll try one of the local credit unions where I've heard they are helpful and not so rude as they are at Tarzana Citibank.

Shiva should be re-evaluated. Too many reasons to list, but we had to go back twice to the branch, then overnight an important document she forgot. Weeks later more issues I am dealing with over the phone to get our account set up correctly.

I truly used to really love this branch, the tellers were always intelligent and welcoming, the place spotless and well lit, and unlike so many of the branches that have shuttered or gone the way of indifference - this one actually seemed like it cared. NOTE: Scroll down through most of the other reviews from the past couple of years - you'll see that SHIVA - my primary complaint, has been complained about before, and the lack of return phone calls and good customer service is clearly noted by several customers. Pay attention to this; if you're someone who's bothering to gather your materials and walk into a bank, you're might more on the thoughtful side then someone perhaps reviewing the McDonald's drive-through. There's a reason people go to the bank in person; usually because they have serious business or care about their finances. These reviews are worth paying attention to... Currently, the manager is PATTY; and despite leaving a message for her twice, she has yet to return my calls... I am sure most of us agree that especially with Covid, when we head into a place of business - particularly involving our finances, we're hoping for a relatively professional atmosphere, with employees who get that the reason most of us are there are to carefully track our transactions, do some math perhaps, ask questions necessary, and hopefully get respectful, intelligent responses. On a recent transaction, November 6 at 1:30 PM, I was there to handle my normal business. The wait was a bit long; I was behind 3 folk who wanted to ask several questions and wound up waiting about 15 minutes to get in front of a teller. No sooner had I begun my transaction then one of the employees, SHIVA, hollered across the lobby to the gentleman customer next to me while he was at the teller window to my right. They seemed oblivious to the other people quietly trying to comport their business, and loudly, cheerfully carried on "SO GOOD TO SEE YOU"'s etc for well over 3 minutes with SHIVA choosing to plant herself directly behind me instead of approaching the gentleman to have her conversation, or better yet, waiting until the gentleman was done with his business so that the rest of us at the teller windows wouldn't be disturbed by this loud carrying on. After about three minutes of this I turned around to Shiva and quietly asked her if she could please keep her voice down and not yell her conversation. As a sidenote they were speaking Farsi; perhaps they felt if they were shouting their conversation in another language it would not disturb those of us who didn't speak the language? No sooner had I asked the employee to please try to keep the quiet then the male customer rudely and loudly told me to "chill out". I chose not to respond and tried to continue my business as he continued to lay into me, telling me that how he spoke was none of my business - so I finally quietly told him that I hadn't been speaking to him I has clearly been speaking to the branch employee. This "gentleman" continued to be rude and berate me, but what was worse was that SHIVA, the Citibank employee, rather than apologizing- just stood there, defended her loud conversation, and did not bother to say anything to the gentleman who was now yelling at me. I'm sure some part of her was enjoying the transaction as she did nothing to improve her behavior. The teller that I was working with, Erik, agreed with me that we have a right to peace while we are at a financial institution to comport our business. But apparently because I asked them to please be respectful, I basically got harassed by an incredibly rude gentleman who rather schizophrenically flipped a switch and started to smile to every other employee right after berating me- perhaps to prove to himself he was "such a nice guy". In other words: a complete phony. Citibank: someone like SHIVA should be admonished, because not only was she yelling across the entire branch to carry on this conversation in another language, but sh

Citibank misleads customers and ploys to deceive customers by promising giving bonus of 700 dollars if you open a savings account of at least 50K to 99K something after 120 days. In fact it says after 90 days of opening the account you get your bonus. It is a shame for such a big financial establishment to engage in this type of deception. I opened my account (new customer) 3rd week of April at the Tarazana, CA branch and this bank teller named Mina was the one who processed my account. Yesterday, Oct. 7, I received my bank statement and it did not show any bonus deposited into my account after over 150 days. It showed a total of 7 dollars interest in over 150 days. It's not even easy to call them because no one picks up the phone at the branch and call center answers the phone from ouside the country most of the time. I spoke with the same person today who opened the account for me way back in April. She told me, I should have called so the bonus money would be deposited in my account last month. I told her I need to withdraw my money today or tomorrow and she said I have to wait for 3 to 4 business working days to be able to get the bonus money of 700 because she will request for it. Meaning, if I come there now to withdraw my money, I won't get my 700 dollars. I tried to access my account on line a couple of months ago but unsuccessful because their website is so antiquated and poorly put together (not at par with other banks) and when I TRIED TO REGISTER so I can log in, it kept on asking for my debit card number which I do not have ( it did not accept my account number or my EIN or SS) since this is a money market and I believe they never send debit card as they want to keep your money for their working capital. This is not a regular saving or checking but a business money market account but in this day and age it should be easy to register and log in to your bank account. Now, I have to wait for another 3 to 4 days to withdraw my funds and be able to get my 700 bonus. I was even planning to move some of my business accounts to Citibank later but that would never happen . It is just so embarrassing for such a big bank like CITIBANK to practice this way when it involves a small amount of money. SO TO YOU GUYS OUT THERE WHO RECEIVED A PROMO IN THE MAIL ABOUT THE BONUS OFFER WHEN YOU OPEN A SAVINGS ACCOUNT FOR A MINIMUM DEPOSIT OF 50K - BEWARE! It's not worth the aggaravation and your time.

This whole Branch managers are always on lunch and they get your information they say they will call you back and they don't. They also now no longer give you any coins back and they denied me a roll of quarters by one the tellers . She sits in the far left side of the branch . I will no longer do business with Citibank ever again
