“Connie made quick alterations for me in the few weeks right before my wedding. I didn't need much work done, but had a lot of issues with sizing for my dress which was made elsewhere in Orange County. So I was a bit anxious to get my dress to fit in time for my wedding and I didn't want to deal with driving up and down from OC again. I found Connie through Yelp and decided to trust her. She quickly made the alterations, was prompt in communications, which was so important for me since my wedding was literally under a month, and got the dress to fit beautifully. Pricing was fair too. She was very patient and kind. Highly recommend!”

“This is one of my favorite locations, they have the most upright customer service I haven’t gone to any jewelry store where they’ve open their doors as if they were opening the doors to their home. Fermin helped me find the perfect birthday gift for my fiancé, he took his time to help me find exactly what I was looking for! The rest of the girls there were so kindly receiving. They explained thoroughly the financing terms they had to offer, which I greatly appreciated. I will definitely be returning to this exact location for all my future purchases.”

“We came here in Feb to take a passport for our 6-year-old. Johnny and the lady were very friendly. The price was reasonable. Johnny edited and processed the photo right away and we got the photo on the spot. An interesting follow-up story: When we submitted the passport application at a post office, the postal clerks said the head looked a bit small on the photo. While they accepted the photo, they also said that if any issues arose, we would receive a letter and have a chance to re-submit the photo. However, the application was processed without any issues and we already received the new passport without delays. Honestly, I wasn’t surprised because I saw how Johnny edited the photo with care. He knew what he was doing. If you need your passport photo fast and compliant, I highly recommend this place. I also recommend you call first to set up a time before you go. Good luck!”

“Lara was an absolute pleasure to work with! I came to Lara after being referred over by a friend and am so happy that I trusted her with my dress. In addition to doing your usual wedding dress alterations, she made me two custom sleeves (a tulle puff sleeve and an off-the-shoulder sleeve using the original lacing from the dress) to switch out from ceremony to reception. I unfortunately lost the off-the-shoulder sleeve (through no fault of Lara) during transport on the day of the wedding and was so bummed I never got to wear it but absolutely loved the puff-sleeve. She was so patient with me in our fitting sessions as well, and was able to squeeze in a last minute session as I was still losing weight close to the wedding. Pricing was also great and worked with our budget. Overall, I would definitely recommend Folklore Dress Studio if you need wedding dress alterations, custom pieces, or even a custom wedding dress. She was always so sweet, addressed all of my dress concerns, and I never felt rushed during our sessions. Thank you Lara!!”

“Helen is incredibly gifted and the QUEEN of qi paos. She has been in this business for a long time and her beautiful work shows it! She was so sweet and kind to me and my husband. She made us feel like family!! We designed my qipao together. I explained to her what style I wanted and she took my vision and created the most BEAUTIFUL dress! It is completely custom and fit perfectly to my body shape. We chose the fabric for my husband’s magua and she customized it to his style as well. Not only was her service incredible but the qipao and magua are amazing quality! I was soo comfortable the whole night and so was my husband. The silk she uses is beautiful, luxurious quality! “I came across this business via a community page on Facebook. People are in dire need of face masks in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic. I'd had very little luck acquiring face masks and I was trying everywhere . I messaged the number provided for this business and was promptly given a reply . In less than an hour I was at this business and purchased 3 sturdy, cloth face masks. I was told the business owners mother had been sewing them around the clock almost non stop. When I walked in , the lobby was being sanitized and sprayed down. I felt safe being in there . The business owner was wearing a mask and gloves himself. The masks were each provided in a plastic bag. I'm beyond happy to support a local business and as soon as I drove away I felt compelled to write this review. Our current situation is unprecedented, and I'm so glad to see this business turn around and help give support! So if you need a mask, please don't hesitate to call or stop by. Although face masks will hopefully be temporary, the efficiency and professionalism of this business really deserves this 5 star review. The ladies were very friendly and were able to do alterations for my dress that same day (it was a simple black dress that only needed a hem but still, most places still make you wait several days and even weeks for plain dresses). I like that the price of alterations is included and the dresses are reasonably priced to begin with. They had a pretty decent collection in store, even more options than what you see on display and of course they can order more.”
