“Came in just looking for a bit of soil to try and save a little succulent I found on the road — not sure if someone dropped it or tossed it, but I figured I’d try to give it a second chance. The guy at the counter couldn’t have been kinder. Super friendly, didn’t rush me, and even gave me a small pot and some soil for free. I ended up buying some plant food just to support the place, but honestly, I just really want more people to know about this spot. It has a really cozy vibe, and the kind of service you rarely see anymore. Definitely recommend stopping by.”

“Katsura garden is a small plant and pot shop in Japantown. The plant selection is limited due to the size of the store, but the selection is unique, plants you would not normally find in big retailers.
They also have small to medium pots that are well priced. We picked up this plant and pot while there. Clear instructions on watering, sunlight exposure, and soil will be given when asked for help.”
“Very solid local nursery with a good stock of plants that are common and can do well in local yards. The gift selection in the indoor store is nice if you need a present for someone (gardener or not) and their Christmas store is always extravagant and festive. You won't find a large selection of California native plants here, but they do have a good selection of garden vegetable starts in the spring.”

“Appreciate this place is right in Fairfax and an easy go to when I need some hardware. Could be me and the level of questions I ask because I wanna get my project right, and I often find the staff are annoyed and dismissive with me. Bummed me out today when an older staff member was frustrated with and openly berating a young kid working there. It’s all relative so I don’t know the whole story. Also, must have balance in a review ;) there are numerous beings that work there that are always nice and very helpful. I will continue to shop here for small projects 🌻🐝.. .”

This is a lovely little local nursery, and so happy it’s in my neighborhood! I recently moved from out of state and had to re-home nearly all my houseplants. I’ve been dying to bring more green back into my new home in Inner Richmond, so I’ll be a frequent flyer here. Very healthy looking plants, and when it came to houseplants, a variety of sizes. A good assortment of some of the less-fussy philodendron, Alocasia, and Hoya varieties. The price points were very reasonable as well.”

“10/4/2024: I'd been looking forward to visiting Succulence for months, ever since my plant collection exploded with a particular fondness for succulents. I happened to be in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, so decided to finally check them out. Unfortunately, when I arrived I discovered a karate school at the address listed for Succulence. A lady inside told me they had been closed since sometime in June.
The owners have responded to other comments, stating that despite the closure of their brick and mortar store you can still contact them regarding workshops and other events. Closing a business is incredibly difficult, and I'm glad to hear they're still up and running (even if it's at a reduced capacity). To those leaving negative reviews because they arrived to find the store closed: stop. For you it's a minor inconvenience, but for the owners it's so much more. That said, it would be helpful if they added a banner on the website's homepage letting customers know the physical store closed. I wish them the best with their future ventures, and hope I get the opportunity to visit another Succulence location someday.”

My lady loved the bouquet, and the customer service was excellent—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We will definitely be going back again.

I wanted to share a quick review of my recent experience purchasing a Traeger grill based on Perplexity’s recommendation to use Marin Ace in San Rafael.
Perplexity identified Marin Ace as the best low-hassle option for buying, delivering, and setting up a Traeger in Belvedere, and that recommendation was spot on. The purchase process was extremely easy – clear information, no confusion, and everything handled efficiently from the start. Delivery was scheduled quickly and the grill arrived much sooner than I expected.
The delivery and setup team did an outstanding job. They assembled the grill perfectly, walked through the basics, and made sure everything was working as it should. Just as importantly, they were careful and professional inside the home, taking care not to damage the floors or bump into walls or furniture. It felt like a true white-glove experience.
Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. The combination of Perplexity’s guidance and Marin Ace’s execution made what could have been a complicated, heavy, and annoying process into something completely seamless. I would absolutely recommend this setup to anyone in the area looking to purchase and install a Traeger.
