I was a patient at this location for over ten years. I liked my primary care physician, but rarely saw him - it was a different doctor or PA each time. For months I went in with symptoms that included coughing (the coughing has gone on for 2 years), intestinal distress, bloating and gas. They never once ordered a stool test or the blood test or referred me to a gastroenterologist for an endoscopy. They also said that I could have a colonoscopy, but did not express that as a high priority. If they had of done any of these they would have found my esophogeal cancer in time to treat it. When I changed to Kaiser, within a month, I had all the required tests and a diagnosis. The extreme negligence displayed by Providence/Madrona and their failure to order obvious tests border on malpractice.

Don't make an appointment online! If I hadn't called to double check insurance I never would have known that it was not a valid appointment slot and probably would have shown up to an office without a doctor! Also, they take a ton of convincing to let someone that is not the patient check if the insurance is accepted. I have never had that issue at ANY other doctor's office.

I have been a patient for a many years at this place and decided to take my daughter there too when she turned 18 but I made a mistake when I choose her doctor (Anh Dao Chung) my daughter twisted her ankle a week ago we went to the ER and they recommend a orthopedic doctor so we are waiting a week a referral from this doctor and a note for my daughter’s job and still don’t have, my daughter is waking on crutches and can’t go out so much we being calling almost every day and until now we have no help, staff is rude does not help either and doctor unprofessional the only doctor good there is doctor Borovay (my doctor) and I give him a 5 stars if he runs this place alone will be the best. Be careful with the doctor you choose they can make you waste your time.

Medical assistants are rude and have no bedside manner. Patients are obviously visiting the office because they're sick in some capacity, so the least they can do is show some care or sympathy. I understand their days are monotonous, but they shouldn't take their boredom out on the patients.

I have been a long time patient with providence but after running into this office, I will no longer use them for my health care needs. I made 2 appointments that were canceled, stating the reason was covid and they couldn't control it. (Whatever that means) Finally I made an appointment for 4 months away, I made the appointment in October 2022 for February 2023. They assured me that this appointment would not be canceled. This morning I received a phone call stating that they were once again going to cancel my appointment for February. Its a physical and they consider those NOT URGENT, DR is happy to reschedule me for April. I will not be going back to this awful office, they cant be bothered to keep appointments. Rude staff on the phone. I should not be receiving attitude from them when they call to cancel my appointment.

Doctors are great but front office is terrible. Constant mistakes and overall poor attitude. I understand that no one likes to work but have a little professionalism. In person is a bad experience and over phone is even worse.

Dr. Sung is knowledgeable and thorough. I come in with my own notes so I can accurately describe my symptoms and I've never been dissatisfied with his diagnosis and analysis. Nursing & front desk staff is about average, they move fast so best have your questions lined up before hand. I love their use of My chart to fill out payment and other clerical activities. Scheduling can be tough as you have to make them a few months in advance but Dr. Sung is a solid primary and I don't mind making the schedules work.

I left HealthCare Partners/Optum Medical Group after going there quite literally since birth because I have had issues with them being overbooked, barely available, and overall just not great for years, and transferred to Providence Medical Center. My husband and I are now both patients here, with Dr. Yawata being our primary and Dr. Low being his specialist. If this review was solely for Dr. Low and Dr. Yawata, I would give five stars. Dr. Low has done an incredible job so far treating my husband for his nasal turbinate reduction surgery and septoplasty, and Dr. Yawata is extremely personable and friendly. The actual care team past admitting (except the one nurse who mangled my arm during a blood draw because she wasn't paying attention and tried to shoo me out after I talked to Dr. Yawata without doing the blood tests she ordered) is amazing and I and my husband are very happy here. I haven't had any issues with the cleanliness or parking, and the office is pretty stringent regarding COVID-19 measures. Which is great, considering Torrance has a sizable elderly population and thus, a sizable population that could be affected by COVID-19 if they aren't yet vaccinated (friendly reminder to get vaccinated!)There are drawbacks though, and it's solely relegated to the admin part of the office. We've had a few issues on the phone where we were trying to call someone and either we kept getting redirected before hanging up in frustration, they forgot to call us back for scheduling a surgery, or the people we did reach were fairly rude. They're also somewhat cold and dismissive when you immediately go into the office, ESPECIALLY that blonde lady who does admissions in the front. My husband had a follow-up appointment today with Dr. Low for a surgery done last week, and we were running slightly late to the appointment because of all the construction happening around Torrance and increased traffic levels now that we're entering the post-pandemic phase--we tried calling the entire time we were driving there (literally like a sum total of eight minutes, we live in North Torrance) and were bounced around to three different departments on the phone without someone connecting us to the front desk. When we actually got there, that rude blonde lady I mentioned being at front doing admissions was there today and didn't seem to know what was going on. She kept asking my husband why he was there (the dude has a straight up maxi-pad sized piece of gauze stuck to his nose with a hospital-issued face holster from his surgery) because he had just been there recently and saying things like "were you just here last week? you were here before or is this your first appointment now? What are you here for today?" When I answered for him because he was standing there obviously bewildered at the sudden barrage of questions, plus he's still in pain and has difficulty talking, she didn't look toward me at all and kept asking him aggressively what he was there for. When she told him to go through, I initially followed to help him at the front desk (again because he has a giant maxi pad of a gauze strip on his face with blood leaking out of his nose and I wanted to make sure he didn't need help with paperwork, I know you can't wait with your spouse in the waiting room so I didn't plan on staying), and then she threw her hand up at me and barked "not you, him." Um. I get that this is post-COVID and people have been acting a fool because of it and everything so I can understand why she'd be brusque, but there are ways to say, "I'm sorry, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, only the patient can enter from here" that don't involve barking orders at them and throwing your hand in their face. That was wholly unnecessary and I'm only bringing this up because she's been rude to me before and I'm genuinely perplexed as to why she's the one greeting patients at this point. The hiccups we've had are not a deterrent by any means because

Pretty straightforward service. Medical team is efficient, I especially like using the My Chart website to get business taken care of: pay bills, refill prescriptions, send Doc or nurse messages (ask questions), make appointments (video appointments too!) and basically handle all non urgent medical business. Aside from nuisance of the extra Covid steps and precautions, this medical office runs as smoothly as it can. Of all the visits I've made, I remember only one time when my appointment was delayed by an hour - no idea why, but I simply went to the front desk and asked to reschedule. Some would have had a melt down at the foible, but I'm not easily annoyed, things happen, no biggie. Shout out to nurse Rhonda - she's a lovely lady and one of the best reasons to like going to the doctor. Easy in and out, loads of parking. Lots of specialties...if you need them. God bless the medical workers, doctors and nurses for hanging in and keeping us healthy.

Waiting to speak to someone to schedule an appointment takes forever. Anytime I call there is always someone ahead of me, the wait could take up to 20 mins on the phone other then that my Dr and staff is great and fast.
