I wanted to give this a higher rating... however, I cannot. There are definitely some pros and cons with staying on a military base.Pro: Safety. Friendliness. COST. Military lifestyle. COST. Ease of booking. COST... you get the idea...Cons: Smells. Distance to activities. No 24-hour access to a hot meal.Loved the fact that I was traveling in a group with my son and the main group stayed in a name-brand hotel. Two nights at that other hotel would have been over $400!!! Two nights here? Well... if you know, you know! The Westwind staff set us up in a TLF. They are located right behind the main building. Unfortunately, because of the time we arrived, it was completely dark. Oh, no outside lights on the building. Made me feel a bit awkward. When we got inside the "apartment" it smelled. Not like a horrendous smell, but a "this hasn't been used in a while smell". Took a bit to get it aired out but was bearable. If you are staying in the TLF with your family... I would suggest you bring some Clorox wipes, a bottle of hand soap, laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The kitchen has the very basics. Dishes/silverware, pots and pans, large refrigerator, ice trays, kitchen table and high chair. There's a very small bottle of liquid dish soap provided plus two dishwasher tabs (but I don't think they're actually dishwasher tabs, as the name on packaging says "Finish", which is just an additive). I brought my own coffeemaker as I'm a bit weird about using someone else's.The 2nd bedroom (not pictured) had two twin beds. Unfortunately, the linens were very lightweight. The bed wasn't uncomfortable, but wasn't the most comfortable either. Overall, it was a very good stay. I would stay again!

Base lodging tends to have a reputation for being rundown. However, this is not the case for Westwind Inn. Interior is decently updated and clean. The staff were very flexible and helpful when I needed to change my reservation dates last minute.

Best AF TLF I’ve stayed at, all around.

The family suite that we stayed in was good. I liked that it had two bedrooms and a kitchenette. The best thing was that it had a washer/dryer in the room, which made it really convenient to wash our clothes before heading back home. The only things I would change would be for the in to update the paint inside the suites to make it more modernized and get better comforters. Good quality room for the price!

Very nice lodging and clean. Staff are friendly. One of the best AF inns I have stayed at since. For a plus they have a small little coffee shop in the lobby which is relatively inexpensive.

This was such a convenient stop while we were in the area. Customer service was great! I would definitely stay there again when visiting.

Everything was amazing except for the one worker at night he was very condescending and rude, gave me the wrong checkout date and overcharged me for which I did get reimbursed but the woman who worked

Great hotel on base. Only downside is if you shower in the morning, the water might not get hot enough.

Rudest staff-I have ever encountered on an airbase lodging facility. Was very matter of fact and completely unaware of how to communicate slowly and kindly directions on how to go about locating the room. As well as scolding me for not reserving the room as I was not the one that did the reservation in the first place. Also…The facility take credit cards for room check in but unable to process for other item -only take cash is baffling to me.::

Decent hotel on base. Can't really say anything bad about it. The service at the front desk was great and the room was great. We loved the water pressure of the shower! Plenty of parking and has a Java City in the lobby. It is also across the street from the bowling alley. If we have an event at Travis again we will definitely stay there again.

Extremely nice AF Inn. Love the “Do Not Disturb “ and “Crew Rest” options on the door. Staff outstanding. Facility was so clean and modern.

My son and I stayed here when we flew in to see the grandmothers earlier this year. Thank God I’m retired Army and had the privilege of using this Inn. Compared to the hassles of staying in most places in CA, this one is a breath of fresh air. Had a great visiting quarters to stay in. It is very well kept, front desk service was great, had a superb coffee shop in the lobby, and it was wonderful staying in a secure environment within the People’s Republic of California. I grew up in the state and dread going there, in part because of the risk of crime. So, while it might be an hour+ “commute” to see family in both the Bay Area and Sacredtomato, this place will be our “go to” sanctuary when leaving the USA and venturing into the PRCa.

Am frequent guest here. With family and solo. The facilities are clean - and good walking distances to exchange and bowling alley. Park across the street - coffee shop in lobby. Laundry. Great prices for what we get. Frog and micro- and quiet and safe. Busy location. It's a great benefit and a restful stop - especially Space A terminal and easy walk over to the flight line. (There are no shuttle or taxi services on base ) but easy to walk to places if you fly in.

Get a lot of bang for your buck here. Nice spacious room, equally nice bath w/ separate showerroom at less than $100 dollars in Northern California! Only two quibbles, feeble hot water in shower & a continental breakfast would be nice.

Great staff and service. Rooms are alright. AC could be cooler. We stayed in the TLF for a month and suffered many bug bites that had a tendency not to heal for 10 days.
