“Very nice hotel in a great location. I think there needs to be a limit on how long people can be in the hot tub if there is no ability to share it with others because when we were there a dad and his kids were in it for a significant period of time and when you are with your significant other you don’t exactly want to be chilling in the hot tub with a bunch of little kids

Nearby activities: Very close to downtown Truckee”

“The owners here are absolutely wonderful—kind, responsive, and genuinely committed to hospitality. It’s rare to come across people who care so much about their guests’ experience, and it really shows in how they run the place.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome!”

“Very clean campground! On Saturdays they surprise guests with breakfast, and it was honestly such a great one. You don’t often find campgrounds that offer this kind of detail. Close to Lake Tahoe, with friendly and helpful staff. It’s not the most kid-friendly place in terms of activities, but if you bring bikes the kids will still have fun. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back.”

“We have stayed here twice and loved it both times. The view is gorgeous and the rooms are so cute. The hot tub is so relaxing and there is plenty of room on the deck to lounge. The staff is also super friendly!!”

“A great balance of spacious, luxurious, and budget friendly! The rooms are very clean, with modern bathrooms, and effective air conditioners. There is also free breakfast, which is great for a quick bite or grab and go! They have a grill and outdoor patio area as well. Despite being close to the freeway, the sound is manageable.

ONE NOTE: The shower is like Wentworth Miller opening a safe as Michael Scofield from prison break. One side melts tungsten and the other greatly!

Parking is $10 per night which is weird for such a nice hotel.”

“Not the Ritz, but perfect in its BW way! Huge hot tub, nice pool and plenty of communal area to relax after a day of exploring. Continental breakfast changes everyday, nice touch!”

“Thank you one and all, and especially Cameron Goodman for making it truly memorable. It was so beyond beautiful, the whole experience. From beginning to end. It was a delayed anniversary and we were treated spectacularly, even upgraded to a suite, with rose petals in the shape of a heart (which I kept), chocolates, wine, and a hand-written note from Hazel. Every single person we encountered made us feel special and not in a 'it's my job' way, but rather that they really cared about you. The valet was friendly and efficient and was running over himself to please us. The check-in experience with Frank Frank and two others (I apologize for not remembering their names) was lovely, warm and quick and we loved the welcome drink. The room, as I said was nothing short of spectacular. We enjoyed smores (thank you Hazel) outside and a fabulous meal inside. The lit trees outside added to the beauty. The only one thing I would add is the ability perhaps to have luggage holders in the rooms, especially for those who only stay a night or two and have to live out of their suitcases. Thank you one and all, and we look forward to our next visit.”

“Only short fall was the Hot Tub was just warm and the pool was a bit chilly. I look forward to that as part of relaxing away from home.
Disappointed that the pancake machine was not working.”

“I loved it here! It felt authentic & homely. Staff were delightful & the room was wonderfully quirky with proper original old bath & sanitary ware. Super shower & nice toiletries. It was clean & well equipped but showed proper respect for its venerable age. The food downstairs was AWESOME! Great live music too.”

“The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We were traveling with an infant and originally planning to stay in a queen room, the receptionist recommended we upgrade to a king so it wouldn't be so cramped and I'm glad we did. We also checked in just after 10pm and they waited for us. Super kind. Very nice little Inn, and much more affordable than anything actually at lake Tahoe.”
