“One of my favorite markets to shop at whenever in town. The gata here is amazing especially with so many types from different Armenian bakeries. But the best part is the dried mango and the amazing people here. Every time the staff is so helpful and kind”
“Quality meat. I had them cook me up some chicken koobedieh, and it was a little overcooked, but still tasty. Ordered a half tray of rice and it came plain, no saffron.”
“Stopped by Harmony Farms and it continues to be one of the more unique spots in the area. This is a true specialty butcher with an impressive selection, including exotic cuts you don’t usually see unless you’re going out of your way to find them. If you like cooking or experimenting, this place is a gem.
The staff is consistently friendly and helpful—approachable without hovering, knowledgeable without being pushy. You get the sense they actually enjoy talking shop and helping people find what they need.
If I had to split hairs, the POS system feels a bit dated, and having one more register open during busy moments would smooth things out. Nothing that ruins the experience, just small operational stuff.
Overall, still an easy 4.5-star experience and a place I’m always happy to come back to.”
“This German store, with its house-made cold cuts, is pure heaven for me as a native German. They carry almost everything I miss when I think about truly good German deli meats: Gelbwurst, fine Liverwurst, Jaegerwurst — and best of all, a salami I couldn’t find anywhere else. The very best, and at a price where I can’t even get an ordinary salami here. It’s called Servelat — one of the finest salamis there is.
And then the sausages — oh my goodness. They even have the famous Nürnberger sausages, just like the ones you get as street food back home (three small ones in a Kaiser roll), as well as Swiss white sausage. Absolutely delicious. And that’s just the beginning.
They also offer a wonderful selection of cheeses. Their breads are shipped half-baked from Germany, so you can finish baking them at home — or buy them fully baked in the store. On top of that, they carry a great assortment of German groceries, sweets, wines, beers, and frozen items.
But what truly stands out is the wonderful and incredibly kind lady behind the counter, Armine. She has been working there for many years and is always friendly and welcoming. She knows her craft well and clearly cares about what she does. She’s definitely one of the reasons I always leave this store with a smile — usually after buying much more than I planned.
Thank you, Armine.”
“El Bandero Butcher is an excellent source of high-quality meat products. I just visited this butcher store and was pleasantly surprised by their assortment of fresh and locally produced meats. The staff was knowledgeable and polite, and they were able to make excellent recommendations for meat cuts to use in my dishes. The pricing were cheap as well, and the service was timely. El Bandero Butcher is highly recommended to everyone in the neighborhood looking for high-quality meat products.”
“We were starving and were looking for something good, new, and of courselocal. Every time we were passed to this small business and never had a chance to try Armin meat and Deli products. Finally we had a chance to try it.Very nice and clean store. Everything we were looking for was on the shelves and refrigerator s. They had variety of BBQ marinated meat, chicken and pork. The amazing part is that they make their own brand delicatessens, and deli meats and sausages. The cold cuts and sausages are Persian style. Staffs were helpful, they helped us during our visit. They have Persian style sandwiches, yey we don't need to drive to Glendale or Burbank when we are craving for Persian style sandwiches anymore. One of their favorite sandwiches is cheese and sausage, so we ordered 2 of those and pound of marinated pork rib, chicken brest, and tri tip meat to bbq at home.THEY NAILED IT! The sandwich was super tasty perfect. Usually after Persian deli or sausage sandwiches you are thirsty for whol day but with their sandwiches it didn't happen to my husband and me. The sandwich size was huge, we didn't eat dinner because we were full. The next day we do the BBQ, we loved it. The marinating was really good and exact amount(Persian style”

AND with such lovely human beings that make it all happen.”

“Feb 19, 2026 Best kabob ever ! ????
First time ordering here, got a skewer of lamb chops. It was absolutely the best kabob I have ever had in US, mouthwatering juicy and delicious. The meat was very fresh and they grilled it exactly as I like it. Fast and friendly service, affordable price. Kudos to the grill master, managers and owner. Definitely recommended., will be back whenever I’m in Glendale.”
“This place is great from their produce to their meat department and to the general groceries. Amazing service and the butchers here are great. Special shout out to Hakop and Armen you guys are great keep up the great work!!! The wings are always my favorite keep them coming!”
“Great quality meat. Prices are better than what I’ve seen at the meat counters of the nearby Korean markets. The service was exceptional and the ahjussi owner was so kind. I felt like he went above and beyond in helping me. They even have brisket sauce that tastes like the sauces at Korean BBQ restaurants. If you are local and want to buy meat for homemade hot pot or Korean BBQ, I recommend shopping for your meat here.”

“Always great prices on most of their produce and their meats are super fresh and good! Everytime we grill we stop by and pick up some longaniza, salvadorian chorizo and chicken breast fillets. Every time we've brought the chorizo and longaniza to BBQs people love it and they're surprised to hear where we purchase. I only go to this location because the NoHo one is just not the same or as good.”

“Alameda Meat Market is hands down my go to for quality meats and great service. Everything is always super fresh, well cut, and fairly priced. The staff is friendly, helpful, and actually takes the time to answer questions or make recommendations. You can tell they take pride in what they do! Whether I’m grabbing something quick for dinner or planning a BBQ, I always leave happy. Highly recommend supporting this local gem!”
“Love this place! The meat is always tender, prices are fair, customer service is great. Will continue to get my bbq meat & supplies from them for years to come.”
“I love this little grocery store! It may be small, but they always have a great selection. The meat is super fresh, the fruits and vegetables are always top-notch, and their ready-to-eat meals are so tasty. It’s my go-to place for quality and freshness!”
“I have been going to Ziggys for over 25 years! I moved to Texas and anytime I go visit I bring chorizo and cheese back to Texas. I also have my family buy me some and bring some when they come visit. The chorizo is the best.”
“gave it four stars because everything is great, the salespeople are very friendly, everything is good, including the products. There are some problems: the first parking lot is always full, the second problem is that it is very narrow to walk between the rows. Once I wanted to pass by a beautiful woman of about 48 years old. I swear I didn't hit her from behind on purpose. I hope you understand. She laughed and smiled. If she hadn't been nice, she would have made a fuss. The store needs to be expanded somehow, especially the first and last rows where the greens are.Я курд езды”
“Excellent meat and delicious takeout food!!! I love their beef luleh plate!
You can order anything from their butcher case and have it barbecued Armenian style (khorovats) or turn it into a plate with all the sides! I’ve lived in Glendale my whole life and had kabob and khorovats from many places and this place is one of my top three places! The flavor is delicious and the service is amazing, very kind and welcoming! It’s also busy during lunch hour so call and place your order ahead of time. I had them make barbecue for family events and it’s always a hit! I’m not Armenian and even my Armenian friends come to this place to have food made for their parties and gatherings so you know it’s good!”
“This butcher shop stands out for its cleanliness and the way everything is handled with care. The selection is impressive, from freshly ground options to perfectly cut pieces for grilling or slow-cooked dishes. Everything looks fresh, well-prepared, and high quality. Thank you for the service!”

“This station consistently has gas for more than $1.20 cheaper than any other station in the area. It’s easily the best gas station in Glendale, and has a decent selection of snacks and drinks. It gets busy sometimes, but worth the wait.”
“Small market but they have a little bit of everything. A couple of friends who live nearby recommended it to me because they say they get great fresh plantains (plátanos) that taste amazing, sweet and are perfectly ripe, unlike what you find in most grocery stores. So I went specifically to get me some plátanos and OMG, I'm hooked. They were $2.29 per pound vs. $1-$1.29 per pound at the grocery store, more expensive, yes, but totally worth it. At least I'm paying for plátanos that I can actually eat and enjoy instead of getting some that will end up in the trash can. Will be back soon for more plátanos.
The girl at the front is nice, and there's plenty of parking.”
“There is a small problemPeople confuse this place with same ownership of next door located Nairi Banquet Hall I have not been there inside but I wrote about it since I ve been told by other visitors gone there .About this market please check my previous entry .Just to say again .Nairi is really a great. MARKET VERY WELL STOCKED RZED P S I am very sorry. Banquet Hall is located next to Nairi Meat market in Hollywood where I visited. I never been here Nairi Meat and fish I hope it's same proprietorship . I bet it is .When ARMENIANS do well with their business they always open a second location”
“As an Armenian, I shop at a lot of Armenian markets and most of them carry the same products that meet our needs. I normally wouldn’t leave a review for a supermarket, but this one truly stands out.
An apple is an apple! the difference here is the service. From the guys at the deli and butcher to the staff at the checkout, everyone is genuinely helpful and respectful. You can feel that customer service actually matters to them, and that makes a big difference.”
