“Thanks for branching out far from the cities to be in our town of Turlock. This store has a little bit of everything with good discounts on brand names goods. Swing by and check it out , read expiration dates before you buying , consume the product and keep what you saved.”
“I came for an unplanned birthday party ao... They have Awesome balloon options The Big Ones are only $5! That's a good dealb$$ But they have candles, for a cake or a gift (I grabbed them for both) and of course there's seasonal items 2 holidays ahead too ? But I really do love this store. The staff definitely have excellent customer service. I always have questions and they have (or get) the answers for me Thank you and I wish I had pictures to add. (I'll come back and edit it with them)”
“Tonight I was VERBALLY ASSALTED & MY "DEAR GOD LETTERS Books Written by Annie Fitzgerald, Author, that I purchased for $1.25 each for my new Niece/Nephew(s)'s belonging to my Nephew & Niece who are expecting their very 1st baby (Child) who live @ distance; for now were MAN-HANDELED & BENT in certain places as he became INFURIATED when I asked to PAY FOR MY OWN DOLLAR TREE BAGS & BAG the items I WAS PURCHASING using my own monies; OPM, Annuity & Retirement monies at that... He began to violently shake the empty bags and took his hand(s) putting them INSIDE THE EMPTY AND NON-EMPTY BAGS Assaulting them right in front of me as if to attempt to "DOMINATE ME AND MY BELONGINGS"... He did so with the very special and GODLY & LORDLY, DEAR GOD LETTER "Series" of baby/children's books as he intentionally bent them when they were near perfect prior to his INTENTIONAL MANHANDLING OF THEM. He looked perturbed, violent, angry, and hateful which is why I asked VERY POLITELY AND GENUINELY TO bag my own items in the "Brand New Dollar Tree Bags behind the counter". When I instructed him which is not unrealistic as I am the PAYING CONSUMER and he is the PAID EMPLOYEE there to provide "Service to those paying his "wage"; basically; it is what it is, I didn't make him work this evening, he was there & didn't even greet me as I made my way to the front of the register area after waiting my turn. He began to YELL OUTLOUD AT ME & Telling me " YOUR TOO MUCH!!!!!! YOUR TOO MUCH!!!!!! and other obscene words as if to INTIMIDATE ME WHICH HE DID PLUS HE HUMILIATED & EMBARRASSED & TRIED TO SHAME ME FOR NOT DOING WHATEVER HIS TWISTED SENSE OF SELF Wanted... He was Perverse... He didn't thank me for my business and I attached my receipt here where I purchased as a gift for my ever-helpful and ever-useful Mum, Dar T., Squalene, I understand it isn't all harvested from animals/mammals/or sharks/aquatic life and this one said it isn't tested on animals so I felt safe with the big Bunny Ears Bunny icon on the back of the bottles. I bought her 15 of them which is all I saw on the shelf as she prides herself in her "self-care regimens"; and now, these days, so do I which is why I purchased a case of 15 for myself last eve when I was here and Gio wasn't waiting on me; thank GOODNESS for that Upstairs in Heaven Blessing; thank you Lord for that gift! Whew! Still keeping this store at a 5-Star Rating as this is the first and I PRAY the LAST TIME GIO is allowed to RUN AMOK ASSAULTING INNOCENT NON-CONFRONTATIONAL PAYING & SHOPPING CONSUMERS with his HANDS AND HIS FOUL DIRTY FILTHY MOUTH! Tonight I spent $53.14 which is at least average for my weekly & at times daily shopping trips in to this location & I intentionally selected and have continued to select this location out of comfort, ease, vast array of items available for sale & the availability of a public restroom which does desperately need to be renovated & the mustiness, mold & mildew removed permanently... What a disappointment & I would like to PRESS CHARGES & HAVE an Esquirely, PROFESSIONALLY CRAFTED RESTRAINING ORDER PLACED AGAINST THIS INDIVIDUAL & against this man who posed as an employee ASAP so if there are any Contingency Esquires out there who are up to tackling this case please Private Message me on Yelp! here, ASAP. I ALSO ASKED HIM FOR A DUPLICATE PAPER RECEIPT AND HE said "NO, NO I cannot do that." I asked him more than once as I prepared to exit the store, Thank God others were in the store as I fear he may have tried to physically harm me if not for witnesses which I didn't know any of them... Thank you, ~ Sincerely, ~Jana Leigh Thomas ~Sr. Yelper”
“First time here with my family from out of the country. We all appreciated Neiva's help, she has bright red hair. My grandma moves real slow, and she was kind and kept a conversation going with her. Even while busy, she made us feel welcomed. We plan on coming back.”
“This place is conveniently next to the Tesla superchargers. Good selection of energy drinks. Good prices. The person helping at the register was very nice. Seems like they do a lot of lotto sales here.”
“These days of hardship and a lack of income for so many we have had to turn to a stricter budget. Dollar Tree is were to go. Prices are going up but it is still cheaper than anywhere else. They have a little bit of everything. I didn't take pictures, but, I'm sure we the people know where to find a Dollar Tree store.”
“It's a medium sized store but like other 5 belows it's a bit chaotic. Fairly clean, well stocked, items in good condition, not opened or thrown about. Only 1 functional register, so that could become a problem during busy times. Things are more than $5, of course, but not super crazy.”
“Every time I come to this location, I am never disappointed! Always great deals and finds! The staff is always so welcoming! It really does help set the mood for your shopping experience!”
Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
