I would give ZERO stars if I could. I had the manager of this bank (name is Marco, Turlock branch) and I had a check sent from family in Canada. He told me I had to drive thirty minutes away to go to a different branch who deals with out of country checks. I went all the way there just so they could tell me “no. You could have done it at your home branch they just have to send it to collections.” Then I made a point to come back to my home bank and talk to Marco. He sat me in his office for a minimum of thirty minutes trying to do the exact same thing I wanted him to do a week prior. Just for him to say “sorry nothing we can do” This has been by far the worst customer service I have ever witnessed and he even told me “wish you the best of luck because you said you would close your account”. Everything is recorded via ATM and my own cellphone video. This is ridiculous and I’m telling my firm to switch their accounts as well

Most inconvenient Location I’ve had many problems with this bank. No Apple pay . No cardless reader. ATM always broken. For a smalll credit Union you would think it would have good service but it really lacks . Wait time for customer service is ridiculous. Does not have many branches .

I would not recommend this place. The representative I spoke to was very unprofessional. She made it seem like I was trying to refinance a salvage car! I have never experienced such terrible service from any credit union. Her feedback and tone of voice was like a slap on the face. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Teresa Strong was amazing, she answered all my emails right away with all the information i needed. She helped me through the whole process of becoming a member and getting approved for a loan.

Id give zero if I could. Called they said come in after I told them why I'd be coming. I showed up waited 25 minutes and was told I need an appointment. Great communication skills between them clearly.

The new location is not convenient due to the parking, Saturday hours are too short and I wish we had longer time to access the atms inside, Ive deposited the same work checks at this bank for years, and they still hold your money hostage. I have no money and a family who needs food gas to get to work and this check I depended on with my life so to not even have the $300 available right away is an insult, nobody is available to speak to until Monday either, I need to find another bank ridiculous.

Choosing a bank or credit union is hard. You want an institution that you trust with your money and a place that you feel like your business is appreciated. We started banking with Valley First when they were located on Geer Road. There seemed to be a high turnover as there were always new tellers. I must also say that while we usually were able to get our questions answered, there were a few situations that made us strongly consider taking our business elsewhere. They have since moved to a new location with new employees who seem to be more permanent. The new location is also much larger with more parking which is a plus.The first time we entered the building, we were immediately greeted by one of the employees and asked if we needed assistance, which we did. We were promptly taken to one of the cubicles to discuss our financial business. The employee was extremely pleasant and professional. Our questions were answered and were able to leave feeling confident about the outcome. A few days later we received a follow up phone call to give us an update and let us know the situation had been taken care of. Every additional time we have returned, we have had similar experiences with great service. We are very happy that we decided to stay with Valley First Credit Union for our banking needs.

If I could give zero stars I would. I came down to open a business account and was helped by the rudest employee, heavy girl with her hair up in apricot outfit, her appearance was extremely sloppy, I stood there 10 minutes in front of her before a supervisor walked up and told her to help me. She wasn't helpful, was rude and obviously doesn't like her job. I walked out and will find a different bank to open an account with. 11/05/2022 @ 12:50 PM.

Want a peek into a dystopian future? Visit the Valley First in Turlock and interact with a person on a video screen for your banking needs. I understand technology is moving fast but if I go inside of a bank I want to talk to a human face to face. We pulled out of money and moved to another bank. Creepy and impersonal, no thanks.

First time with valley first ,we had a great experience here from the first phone call and conversations we had with assistant branch manager Marco partida at Turlock ca branch bank ,was very helpful to open us an account! we are grateful and appreciate the all the time they took to help and everything they have done going above and beyond for us we thank you Marco Partida and Michelle Tim's for your time and effort !!

This credit union used to be great after being with them for 12 years, but now it has so gone downhill and sucks with the new system setup they're using. Better off going to another local and major credit union over this one! Avoid banking with Valley First, they truly suck now!
