Firstly, the service was fine. The store is clean. The selection was good. Those things aside, this new, modern design was so disappointing. I shop Barnes and Noble precisely because it does not feel like Amazon. This store felt like scrolling through soulless, bright-white web pages. The cement floor makes the store loud. It's just not an inviting or cozy place. I really hope the rest of the stores don't go this direction.

No place to sit. No place to set books down to make a decision. No one to assist with my NOOK and EBooks. It is NOT a customer friendly store. The set up for the Tustin store is a failure.

So glad Barnes and Noble is back with a vengeance. Complete with new layout. Super inviting. Tons of space for customers to browse. So many selection. There are pockets of comfy chairs for you to seat. Great variety of media, toys, CD, and DVD. You can finally browse magazine again. One less star due to lack of restrooms for customers to use.

I'm so glad this location opened walking distance from me! I actually really like the new modern look of the interior. Some reviews have complained there's no cafe, but you could go right next door to the Whole Foods. I get people want to just lounge around and read a little, but I also remember some of my local BN's having issues with people falling asleep at the tables or just taking up space without reading or even buying a drink, so I see both sides. I loved BN then, and I love BN now. The selection is great as per usual, and I always love the value of the books since I have the premium membership! Also, I saw a review about getting a sunburn from the lights inside. If you're getting a sunburn from lights inside a building, you may have a more pressing issue than just not liking this BN.

This is the new store they opened next to Whole Foods. A huge generous floorplan. The store per BnN usual, is divided into different departments, but more loosely. There are interesting things to be found while browsing on endcaps. There items can be found by special interest. Say a movie is out. The DVD, BluRay, but also hardcover and softcover books will all be there. If there are collectables, those are found in the same place too. It's in interesting way to feature special interests. Besides a loose collection of main interests, BnN here has doubled down on special item bins. All types of media can be found here. Plus artwork, puzzles, games too. Besides one person in Kids all the staff were super helpful. No café here, but I like that. People would often get the new books all stained up. This is a solid brick n mortar store. You want coffee, tea or an adult libation go to Whole Foods next door.

The new layout at first looks really cool, but then you quickly realized that it’s not as nice as the other Barnes & Noble’s layouts. It’s not as welcoming, and the places they have where you could sit down and read, or literally in the middle of all of the isles, which makes it kind of awkward. There’s Spanish selection is not even publicized like the other sections, which is pretty upsetting because every Barnes & Noble I’ve been to has a pretty decent Spanish section

There's a B&N at the District! It's huge! Not very cozy like other stores. Has a warehouse feel to it. They will definitely have what you're looking for!I read that if you ever find yourself in a bad area and need to stop somewhere, navigate to a Barnes & Noble. They won't ever put one in a bad neighborhood

Visited this location to help my Autistic niece use a gift card from Christmas. She purchased a book for $6. When I looked for the gift card to put away, the female cashier said, "Oh I threw it away since there wasn't a balance." I thought it odd a gift card balance would be zero after purchasing a $6 book. While still standing at the register counter, we looked at the receipt, there was over $20 remaining. We asked the cashier to get the gift card from the trash. She couldn't find it. Another employee came over to help, and all of a sudden the first cashier "found" it under her key board. The bookstore is spacious and clean. It's unfortunate a dishonest dirty employee who takes advantage of the disabled works there! I hope the manager and even higher up the ladder realize they are employing a disgrace to society with no sense of decency or shame whatsoever. Instead of supporting and helping my disabled niece to be a part of society, she took it as an opportunity to be a thief.

Staff is so kind. Can't say much else other than I hope they never go away I love having pages to turn instead of being on the screen all day.

Selection: 4Staff: 4Vibe: 0Location: 3This Barnes and Noble is genuinely awful. The one at the Woodbridge Center and Marketplace was sooooo much better than this one. A Barnes and Noble should have a cozy atmosphere, maybe a cafe, an classic bookstore feeling, and all of that is missing. It looks more like a fancy restaurant than a Barnes and Noble. The staff were nice, there wasn’t too much of a line, even though it was opening day, and that’s all the positives.

I was so excited to discover this book store. I found some great kids books and Christian reading. Plus my kids loved their Harry Potter section. It had more then just books. They found journals, guided journals, pens, socks and many other Harry Potter paraphernalia!
