Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) is a welcoming, diverse, and family-friendly synagogue community serving all of Orange County. We are a community of people of all levels of religious observance, those born Jews and Jews by Choice, people of backgrounds and walks of life. We are bound together by our love of Judaism and our care for one another. We gather for Shabbat and holidays full of uplifting music and engaging learning, offer a robust programs for our kids - including our Child Development Center, Religious School, and award winning youth group, and have many opportunities for all ages to learn, connect, and serve others.
My family joined CBI four years ago, and we’ve been continually impressed by how warm and giving the congregation is. The shul truly thrives on a heimish culture. The spiritual leaders, staff, and members are focused on building community and making sure everyone feels a true sense of belonging.

There are many things to appreciate at CBI. Here are our top three. Rabbi Adam Greenwald is learned, compassionate, and courageous. The music, led by Cantor Amy Robinson Katz, is beautiful and uplifting. CBI offers many opportunities to participate in acts of Tikkun Olam, repairing our world.

CBI is my happy place. Rabbi Adam and Cantor Amy are the dynamic duo for CBI. Everyone is so amazing including the executive director Sam Brown. Our family just loves being part of this village.
