Great experience with Cameron!!! He was extremely helpful, courteous. While helping me, He also showed kindness and compassion to another renter who needed car to take care of her father who suffered stroke. The other renter was asking if she could have whatever less expensive car they gave. Cameron took time to assist the other agent to get a better rate for her.
He was apologetic to me for the delay caused by helping the other agent. Great customer service from this young lad!

Hands down the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had.
I was given a loaner vehicle from this company through Tustin GMC after my car broke down. The moment I got into the car, it reeked of dirty diapers. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to accept it since they claimed they had no other vehicles available.
I attempted to contact them numerous times—literally called over 100 times—and never got a single answer. The vehicle itself wasn’t just disgusting, it was mechanically unsound. I drive uphill daily, and while nearing home, the car struggled so badly it felt unsafe. I didn’t want to risk driving it again, so I had it towed—something I have documented proof of.
The next day, I returned the car to a nearby Fullerton branch. The manager there said he couldn’t accept it due to company policy. So I drove all the way back to Tustin and spoke with the agent, who then redirected me to another manager at a neighboring dealership. On my way in, I called the office number again. As I stood outside the door, I could see the manager inside laughing and chatting casually—while my call went unanswered. Keep in mind, I had been calling for days with zero response.
When I finally confronted her and asked why no one picks up the phone, she insisted they always do. I showed her my phone, still actively calling, and she became noticeably uncomfortable. I explained everything—showed her videos, AAA invoices, and receipts. I had the vehicle for nine days, even though it was unusable for four of them. The dealership only covered six days, so I had to pay out-of-pocket for the remaining three, despite the car being broken for nearly half the time I had it.
I requested to speak to the area manager, who promised to review my evidence and either issue a refund or at least follow up with a resolution. That was in April. It’s now July, and I still haven’t received a single call.
Avoid this rental company completely.
If a dealership tries to send you here for a loaner, ask for reimbursement instead. You’ll likely end up with a filthy, defective car, terrible customer service, and absolutely no help if anything goes wrong.

I was a in Hertz Tustin yesterday and I witnessed a very bad customer service from the manager.
There was a family trying to get some help with an issue they had with their rental car and the manager (whose name I heard was Ashley) was extremely unhelpful and unnecessarily rude.
They were just asking for general help with their rental car and she was so rude.

Ashley is by far the worst person I’ve ever dealt with in customer service. We had a flat tire on the freeway and couldn’t get through to roadside assistance (our calls weren’t going through).
We thought we were lucky our car broke down near a Hertz. We walked in and explained what happened, hoping for a little help. From the start, Ashley had a horrible attitude. She talked down to us, saying there was nothing she could do and that only roadside assistance could help.
We understood that, but kept trying to explain that our phones weren’t working and we couldn’t get through. She flat-out refused to help in any way, even saying we couldn’t use the store phone because we wouldn’t be able to take it back to the car. Instead of offering any solution, she acted like we were a problem for even being there.
Only after some back-and-forth did she very reluctantly let us use her phone. It wasn’t just the lack of help, it was her attitude. Her tone, her behavior, and complete lack of empathy made an already stressful situation so much worse.
We weren’t asking for anything unreasonable, just a bit of compassion in a moment of real stress. Ashley showed none. She doesn’t deserve to be in a customer-facing role, let alone in management. She was rude, dismissive, and made it very clear she didn’t care at all. Absolutely unacceptable experience.
