I ordered an item that was not included in the package. Over the last two weeks I have emailed two customer service addresses and called, leaving a message. Cannot get a response, my missing item, or a refund.

Here is yet another proof that he only talks but does nothing, he doesn't even take the time to resolve his customers' problems, be careful, I have just read other opinions from customers who have had the same problem.
be careful, do not order here, go see other customer reviews on google, he does not refund you and he no longer responds to your emails. that's how he makes money. he always deletes my comments so that no one reads them. you have to report his pages on facebook and on instagram.

I have been buying from Hookah John (online) for over 12 years now. First of all: the man knows hookah. He doesn't sell junk - he personally tests everything he sells. I have bought products from other hookah websites that rust out or the shisha is dried up, and ends up in the trash. No matter what you buy from Hookah John, it is QUALITY. Second: the man knows his customers! He develops his own line of products, which are all phenomenal. The Titanium coals are great, and the HJ bowls are works of art. Some of his products are even made in USA which is appreciated.
It's incredibly rare to have a business owner who is such a champion and cheerleader of the industry. Hookah is not very common in the US, and with the turmoil in the middle east, a lot of imported stuff is no longer available. Hookah John continually finds a way to source products, and over the years I have watched the quality of new products get better and better. Hookah is not exactly a lucrative industry - people who make and sell these products do it out of passion.
Finally I'll address the shipping and age verification issues. Anything involving tobacco or alcohol online has to go through stringent regulation. I have personally never had a problem with the ID verification. However it's easy to believe some of the other reviews where moving to a new address or changing your credit card could trip up the system. That is a product of the government regulation, and the ID verification companies that supposedly have an eye-in-the-sky to keep tabs on everyone's personal information. Hookah John has always been quick to respond if there is an issue or a question, and ships orders out promptly. I have had my credit card stolen from other hookah websites in the past. At this point, Hookah John is the ONLY website I buy from - because he is trustworthy, and because you can't go wrong with any of the products he sells.

He cried to yelp and google and had them both remove my reviews. Doesn't seem to matter because the last six months from other people have all said the same thing in different ways. Poor guy, probably needs a hug. I'm so sorry that you've ripped off hundreds of customers through credit card fraud, respond to criticism with childish name-calling and feel it's your right to do so.

I tried to contact them several times and left 3 messages and it's been over a week with no response. When trying to buy from the website they add 30-40% tax. I tried to get answers before I buy but got no response.

Took two days to verify my ID when it was already done via website. Had to send them manually. Then they couldn't verify my US address. They just cancelled my order now. What a waste of time. Time to use hookah shisha like I have been for years.
Update--
My payment went through on my card, so there's no fraud. I used to live in Kansas and have now moved to Florida. I ship with UPS all the time and have never had any issues. You can literally Google my address. I don't understand why it wasn't accepted. You claim to have put in a lot of effort, but you didn't even call me once. You canceled the order without any warning. Have you tried using FedEx? This is poor customer service. I'm just sharing my experience.

Always the best place to get your hookah supplies. Been buying from John for many many years.. he always looks after his customers. He’s thrown in extras here and there from my time buying from him. Absolutely the best hookah supply vendor for your shisha needs, and also amazing hookahs. He travels very far and does respectful R&D to make sure his hookah products are the best they possibly can be before he sells a product or hookah accessory. John and his team WILL take care of you as he has me all these years.

Recently got a shipment of 10kg titanium hookah coals from their ebay vendor. The coconut coals had white ash filled with wood, fillers and chemicals. They were so bad that i got sick from smoking their coals. I emailed them for over 2 weeks and they have not responded once. I also sent a complaint on this customer service address and no replies. They changed the box and packaging, the ebay vendor proved the authenticity by sending me the invoice from hookah john. He blocked me on facebook from joining his group. Extremely shady business beware. #hookahjohndoesntcare

These are scammers!!! You pay for the products, then a couple of days later they cancel your order. And then they don't respond to your messages when you ask for a refund!!! These are scammers!!!!!

Haven't had a hookah in more than 20 years. Feel like Rip Van Winkle with all the new products and modifications. Getting back into the swing of things can be difficult. Finally met John and he was very helpful with questions I had with my pickup order. His shop is very warm and inviting. His products are very high quality and his customer service is excellent bar none. If you are local do a pickup order and get that great "HookahJohn experience". Next plan is to get the SAOCCA hookah package. The discounts for the package help getting a bullet proof setup is excellent and you can't go wrong!!
