If you are a POC do not come here. There's a red hair associate who followed my sister and I around the store. No one else was being followed. We didn't grab her name but it was around 4pm 8/26- she was wearing all white. We were a little lost in the store and the associate with NO SHAME kept watching us at every aisle we were at. She literally popped her head once we were at the checkout line. It is extremely disrespectful to follow brown/latina customers while other customers were roaming freely. Gladly, I'm not from the area- my local Ulta in Whitter has better customer service and no one stalking you. My sister confronted the worker on her inexcusable behavior. No one should be closely following you at any store. We never steal. This was straight up racial profiling. If the store is so worried about customers stealing then have everything locked up or check the 1,000 cameras they have indoors. We will be following up with corporate.

Thank you Desiree!
I came to Desiree at Ulta feeling discouraged after a previous stylist had left my hair in rough shape. From the moment I sat in her chair, she was kind, professional, and incredibly skilled. Not only did she fix the damage, but she gave me one of the best highlight jobs I’ve ever had!
Desiree took the time to listen to what I wanted and explained her plan clearly. The results were even better than I hoped for. I’ve received so many compliments on my hair since my appointment—and more importantly, I feel so much more confident and happy with how it looks.
If you’re looking for a stylist who truly knows what she’s doing and genuinely cares about her clients, I highly recommend booking with Desiree!

I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience at the Ulta Tustin branch on July 12, 2025.
I went in for a hair treatment, and by the next morning, I woke up with my scalp feeling sticky, irritated, and with scabbing — it looked and felt like a possible reaction or even chemical burn. I’ve had similar services at three other Ulta locations before and never had any issues, so I knew this wasn’t normal.
I called the store and spoke to the manager, who booked me for a follow-up appointment on July 13 at 3:45 PM. I appreciated that at first — but that’s where the service fell apart.
When I arrived, the manager and stylist admitted I might have had a reaction to their products. They washed my hair with SEEN shampoo (a product for sensitive skin) and applied Aquaphor, then told me I should use these twice daily going forward. But instead of offering the products to help me recover from what happened, they tried to sell them to me. No refund offer. No sincere apology. No redo of the treatment they messed up. Just a push to spend more money on fixing their mistake.
This is not what I expect from a brand like Ulta. I left the store feeling dismissed and extremely disappointed — not only with the results, but with the complete lack of accountability and care.
If you're considering this location for salon services, I strongly suggest you go elsewhere. The risk, and the way they handle problems, is just not worth it. And I want my money back.. I want a refund.

I have been here a lot of times & I have come to the conclusion the most of the workers here are racist I have never being ask if I need help every I have a question finding or about a product I have look for a workers & they’re are always in a bad mood or just rude again and I have witnessed them interact way differently with white customers than the way I’m treaded every sad

A very racist place....
Be prepared to be ignored. Sales associates ignore you or treat you rude if you don't look American.

Booked an appointment to have tinsel extensions put in and we were there on time. Then we waited 15 minutes through our appointment to be told that another client showed up that had priority and we would have to wait for her to get a haircut and treatment before she could start on my extensions. This was on Cinco de Mayo, so we were cutting into our holiday on top of it all. We were on time and there first. Terrible customer service.
