We had a sick kitty (15 y.o.) the staff (Emalie) and Dr Kara Delancy were low key yet very informative. They gave us options and the reasoning behind each recommendation. They helped us prioritize each choice for treatment, meds, and home care that has brought our lovely Marie back to her healthy norm. It was expensive, but I think in line with all the options and treatments at hand. Highly recommend this facility and staff

We had to rush our cat in for an emergency, we were unsure if they would take us with 1 hour until closing but they were kind enough anyways. Sydney and Dr Grewal were great they were kind and reassuring and made us feel heard. I would recommend this facility to anyone!

Compassionate, caring and above amazing service! Back in Dec, my dog Boba had hurt her leg while playing fetch at the park, we waited a couple of hours thinking it was a sprain but she wouldn't put any weight on her leg. After 2-3 hours we decided to go to an Urgent Care. After frantically calling around, another Urgent Care actually recommended VCA Urgent Care - Tustin. I got lucky and was told that there was no wait time so I rushed over. They sent a text and I filled out the paperwork online, smooth process. Once I arrived at their office, I found it to be spacious and clean. They did the necessary exams and told us they were positive it was a torn ligament and she would need surgery. It was even recommended to not do an x-ray since the surgeon would do their own, so I could put the saved money towards her surgery. We were given some pain meds and anti inflammatory meds. Dr. Ahn even recommended a hospital that specializes in TPLO surgery and we were able to get a surgery date 2 days later. Dr. Ahn and Gianna even followed up to see how Boba was doing post visit. Very grateful for VCA Animal Hospital for having the same care level as any pet parent would have if their furbaby got injured. Hopefully we won't be coming back too soon.

Great care and options for treatments. It is expensive but worth addressing emergencies.

If you’re looking at this review wondering if you should take your pet here - Do it. I brought my dog in for an emergency surgery after a brutal attack. I came into the office absolutely hysterical and couldn’t even speak from the trauma. They immediately assisted me and my dog. The kindness, attentiveness, and dedication they showed in his care was truly unparalleled—nothing like how I've been treated before. I can’t thank them enough for lending their care. Not to mention, the stitches are beautiful and so clean! Beautiful work by the team.
VCA team, thank you for your dedication to patient care. I hope many continued blessings your way.

I really liked the assistants and techs there, they were all very friendly and complimented my cat.
The vet kept looking at my chest instead of my eyes, and my very friendly cat was afraid of him. Okay for an emergency, but I took my cat to another VCA in Irvine (dr ma and dr Kay are awesome) for the services he needs because I was uncomfortable and the services were too expensive at the urgent care clinic.

First the positive. The hospital was beautiful and very clean. The check in process was easy. I used the website to select the virtual waiting room and when it was close to my time to come in I received a text. There was no waiting and the staff was super friendly. Now the negative. My dog had an area that over a 24 hour period got itchy he licked all the hair away. I did not want to wait until an appointment opened up at my regular vet because this came on so fast. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a bite. We had Vet Dr. Kim help us. No smile, nothing friendly about him at all. Not even anything friendly towards the dog. I barely had any explanation of what he was looking at and why. I just watched him examan my dog. I have never encountered a vet that wasn't at least loving or friendly to the pet. It was very strange. He could be a great vet but he is not one I would recommend.

I have been here for 2 different urgent care needs for my sweet girl Stella. The location is great! It's amazingly clean and welcoming! Their check in and payment process is super easy and quick. The staff is top notch! The Vet was so patient with her and explaining everything to me. They were so good with handling her and her nervous energy. I had to get her leg wrapped for an injury. The Vet, Dr. Ahn came out to demo the wrap. One of the nurses sent me a video so I could also see it step by step. By the time we were leaving Stella was so comfortable with all the staff she was playing around with them while I was getting all her paperwork and meds. I cannot thank this team enough for how they treated Stella and I. Sometimes it's hard finding a Vet office that can be patient with Stella, she gets very nervous and jumpy at the vets office. You all are angels, I appreciate all of you so much. Highly, highly recommend this place when you need urgent care services!

I went because my car was sick and they have a virtual sign up which is very non welcoming. There is no sense of rush the lady gave me a card to scan to log in on line. There is a lack of empathy they had 3 patients and she told me to wait and that I might not be seen to come back tomorrow. Very poor service I left and took my kitty to a vet that cared.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. And they went above and beyond the call of duty. My dog had a deep laceration on his neck that needed attention. It was Sunday, and all our go-to vets were closed. They saw us in pretty short order. The doc examined him and offered different treatment plans, and explained the pros and cons of each. The costs at this urgent care, of course, would be very high compared to the regular vet. For the procedure recommended by the vet--With all the bloodwork, anesthesia, meds, and the closure of the wound in two layers (sutures plus staples)--it would be well over $2000! They worked with me according to my budget. I basically just wanted the wound cleaned and the area clipped , with plans to see our vet the next day for sutures. But they went the extra mile, actually closing the wound with staples at no extra charge. Maybe that last step was easy, once their excellent team had him restrained and the area cleaned and clipped...but it was very nice to hear they had done this extra work for us.

Brought our injured dog with a scheduled appointment. They kept him in the back room scared for nearly an hour, then came out to tell us they couldn't make time for us.

We were referred to VCA internal medicine from our Vet to help our dog who had been suffering from chronic GI distress. Dr. McDooling performed the diagnostics which included an endoscopy. Dr McDooling and the VCA staff were amazing throughout the entire process. The underlying cause was discovered and now our dog is on an effective treatment plan. The office is very professional with impeccable follow up. Our dog is now free of flare ups and has a new lease on life. I highly recommend VCA!

My 15.5 year old 4 pound Yorkie took a rapid decline from her kidney disease on Sept 24, 2024. By the time I realized her certain death was near, my usual vet was unavailable to provide the final visit. A call to VCA Tustin Urgent Animal Clinic brought my awful fears to an end. They were available to take my Macchie peacefully over the Rainbow Bridge. The entire staff was so professional, kind, thoughtful and sensitive to my devastating pain. The final minutes were beautiful and peaceful. I was able to stay and pet her and talk to her and cry as long as I needed. I left with a broken heart but so grateful for this positive experience. I felt the fees were very reasonable. Several days later, sooner than promised, I was notified that I could go back for her ashes. All the staff greeted me with hugs and a card and gave me so much comfort. Everything they promised was done and with genuine kindness. Thank you for turning my terrifying fears into a memorable blessing. Dawn Funkhouser

I called the number for VCA on a Saturday, and right from the beginning I was treated with care and concern. My dog Daisy was put in the virtual waiting room, within 10 minutes they were ready to see her. The entire team was amazing .. patient and kind. The doctor was so sweet with my dog..he really seemed to care. Daisy was infested with fleas and her own vet couldn't see her until the next week. The doctor at VCA gave her medicine plus noticed a bacterial infection on her belly. We left there with solutions but didn't feel pressured to have multiple tests done or purchase multiple products... just strictly necessary medications to make Daisy feel more comfortable. Everyone was patient and kind.I only wish the doctor had his own private practice so we could switch to him. If you live in the area and need urgent care for your pet go here!

I found VCA on the Internet. I was searching for an urgent care vet that could see my dog today. I called and had a very nice young lady. Help me to get on their waitlist for an appointment within a half an hour. They asked all the appropriate questions about what was wrong and talked to the vet before having me come down. To make sure I didn't need to take him into the ER. I was very, very impressed about how nice and professional and caring the staff was. They took him into a room right away and checked him and the vet came in and explained everything very thoroughly and we ran bloodwork to see if anything showed up. Long story short bloodwork came back OK but obviously something happened that I did not see. Some type of trauma to his nose area. So they sent me home with pain medicine and steroids and an assurance that he seemed to be OK but just to watch him. All in all, it was a great experience, and I felt very comforted by the ladies that they would take good care of him. I highly recommend VCA as an urgent care alternative to the ER.
