I’ve been coming to WaveMAX Laundry on 1st Street in Tustin for a while now and have always had good experiences. However, today I had a very disappointing interaction with an employee (Jessica).
I arrived at 6:35 PM to pick up my clothes that I dropped off yesterday. As soon as I walked up, she locked the door and went out to her car. I approached her and let her know I was here to pick up my clothes. She told me, “I can’t talk with you right now,” and said she would be back at 7:07 PM. I politely asked if she could hand me my clothes before leaving, but she repeated that she couldn’t talk to me and rolled up her window.
I completely understand and respect that employees need their breaks, but the way she spoke to me was unnecessarily rude. This kind of behavior is disappointing and not what I expect from a business I’ve been loyal to.

Old review....Clean laundromat. Attendant always is on duty to help. Free soap and dryer sheets if you need them. By coming here, you support a mom and pop small business.
Dryers are great. I dried my clothes on medium and clothes dried very fast. .75 dried a load of towels and thick socks on medium.
Washers have several choices of speeds and temperatures. There are 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x and 10x size washers. The number corresponds with the numbers of load. Currently $2, $4, $6, $8 and $10. Delicate, conforter, heavy soil or extra rinse costs $1-1.50 extra.
I tossed a typical rolling hamper in the 10x washer. The owner noted that it would have fit in a 6 and saved me money. It cost me $2.50 total to dry what would have been 6 loads in a large capacity top loader vs $1.60x6. If I wash ONE load at my apartment it costs $1.60 per wash and same for dry. Their small washer is $2 and it holds two loads.
Why have I been arguing with myself? I now have a granny cart and can drag laundry across the street.

Omg I’m so glad I found this place. I’m an Australian visiting the US, and I needed to wash my clothes! There is an app to pay (and free WiFi to download the app), but because my Apple is set to Australia I couldn’t download it… most of the machines take 25c coins. I only had a $20 note, but the lovely kind girl behind the country happily changed that to $5 in quarters and the rest in notes. It wasn’t a large load I needed to do, was $4.50 and took 26 mins. On that, I had selected extra rinse and extra soiled (which added $1.50 from the base price of $2.50 to make the overall wash $4). I didn’t use a dryer but they’re 25c per so many minutes of use. Another review said no parking but there was heaps both with its own car park and on the street front. Very clean, fresh, no weirdos hanging around. So grateful 🙂🙂 cheers from this one very happy Aussie 🇦🇺🦘

Jess/Jessica is amazing! We came with our 16 month old and it was our first time utilizing a laundromat in a LONG time. She was super helpful in figuring out the app and also so nice to our baby. I recommend this place-- makes doing laundry efficient and a pleasant experience due Jess! Thank you! Will visit again if we have a big load. Note: parking is challenging.

WaveMax Laundry is a very clean and affordable facility. They have free wifi and benches and seats for you to wait while doing Laundry. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. In particular Jessica was very helpful for me. It was my first time wahing at a Laundromat in a long time...she showed me the ins and outs of downloading the wave max laundry app, how to use it, what proper sized washer and dryer, to use, and where to put the laundry liquid. She even gave me a complimentary dryer sheet! I highly recommend Wave max, especially if Jessica is working.

That's all y'all need to know. She made my life so much easier by completely walking me through the process as a first timer to this location, and helped me find the perfect settings and wash time to protect my duvet and mattress pad. It's nice to see someone who cares about what they do enough to help you find the perfect fit for what you need, in order to care for nice things! I had no idea that a standard wash could potentially harm my duvet.
She'll walk you through everything without making you feel clueless (Elder Millennial me thought she'd be able to figure things out, but over my head it all went!), help you transition your items from washer to dryer, and make sure you're fully satisfied before leaving.
Thank you, Girl! I won't procrastinate this for as long next time, now that I know I'm in good hands!

$8 per washing machine is crazy.

Owner tried to say I’m lying and then proceeds to justify why the price is $8. I feel like he didn’t like I published the prices. Guess my facts were straight 🤓

Parking here is pain. There is a sports bar next to this place. It will take most of the spots this area has to offer. Prepare to see people double parking and fighting for a spot in a small parking lot.
Yeah, I don’t know what he is talking about with the “ultraviolet cleaning”. Machines didn’t look any special. “Trust him bro” about this feature, or just take it as an excuse to upcharge you for a regular wash.
Funny to see the owner get sore about a 1 star review that says “$8 per washing machine is crazy.” Calls me a liar, then proves himself wrong immediately. It isn’t a lie if your prices are that. Get your facts straight 🤓👆

Clean efficient fast cycles on the washers. You will need the app for the machines. The helpers are friendly.

I needed a weighted blanket cleaned. I thought I was going to have to be there for awhile but I ended up dropping it off which I didn’t realize was an option. The man working there was incredibly helpful. The place is super clean and it ended up being less expensive than I thought. I’ll definitely be back!

Out of all the neighboring Laundromats, this one takes the cake.
Clean, well maintained, and the best customer service I’ve seen. I just moved into town and I didn’t know the area very well. I’m glad I came across this hidden gem.

I went there today for the first time. I was very impressed. There were different size machines, space was very clean and it was nice to have attendant there. Jeremiah was the attendant and he was wonderful. He helped me set up the online app so I didn’t need to carry so many coins. He also was very kind and told me if there was anything I needed just ask. Not to mention, every time something was on floor he immediately picked it up.
I highly recommend this business.
