About Venice Beach Hostel
The Venice Beach Hostel offers a basic, budget-friendly stay in an ideal location right by the beach, shops, and restaurants. The rooms are often described as large, clean, and airy, with comfy beds, though some single beds are noted as very cranky with soft mattresses and scratchy bedding. The facilities are outdated and the common area can seem dirty with a lingering bad smell, sometimes of mold. Issues with hot water are reported, and there is no air conditioning. The staff receives mixed reviews, frequently described as super friendly, welcoming, cool, and helpful. However, some staff members are seen as unfriendly and uninterested, and the front desk can be empty at times. The atmosphere is busy and not super quiet, and the hostel is noted as not for children. A $100 deposit is required. While the place has potential and the location is its best feature, it is acknowledged that it could do with investment, a thorough cleaning, and has a lot of room for improvement. For the price, it is considered a doable choice, especially for those planning to be outside the whole day.
I love everything about this hotel nice and clean clothes to the beach. And everyone there was so nice I met a guy named Paul. He's an amazing person that deserves so much. He was so kind. I will be back

Stayed there in 2004. Remember the old man sitting by all the survaillance cameras, gave the key to my private room cause I had internet access there. Without asking. Other than that it was a great stay. I got a ride to the airport by a black dude in leather jacket, chainsmoking and introduced me to Journey the band.

Service and location are worth the price, but I don't know if I will stay here again. No charger or lights if you get an upper bunker
